I continue to be captivated by the world of Ishura. Its political landscape is messy and complicated in a way that only a capable writer can handle. Just like something that Dakai did in volume I has an effect in VIII, a similar thing happens again in X. It really made me slap my forehead, "Damn, of course!"

However, the progress is convincing: for instance, at the beginning I truly wouldn't have guessed that Kaete would become a player as big as he is now. But we've seen how he took the journey step by step to reach where he is now (not denying that the man seems to get a bigger share of luck than some of his peers).

I'm not too sure I like how Kuze's character arc ends here (I really wish the Leisha stuff will just be over and done with right there), but, eh, Kuze's a good guy and maybe he deserves that ending.

However, I wonder if Keiso is alright, since volume 11 doesn't seem to be in sight even in Japan, and this volume does not end with a spaghetti recipe like the previous few volumes...
