Thanks to NetGalley and the Editor. I received a copy of this book in exhcange for an honest review

This is a revenge story with psychos as characters. And it is beautiful!
Think Jorg by The Broken Empire (by Mark Lawrence) but he doesn't want to conquer the world (at least, for now), he just wants revenge on his House. He is a man on a mission (or a child on a mission, more on this in a moment) and he won't be stopped.
It's really calling for some popcorn while you sit back and watch all this develop before your eyes.
And it is also a pleasure to "watch" because the art is beautiful. It is pretty dark, but grim tones are so perfect for this story and these characters. Everything is well balanced, and each element complements the others.

That said, it is also pretty fun. Our MC dies and he wakes up again, not in another world (shocking, right?!) but he is taken back in time, at the moment of his birth. So now we have a baby with the memory and the abilities of a man (who was also one of the best Bloodhound of his House). Shenanigans ensue, and I was there for them.
It is a pretty cool idea. Sure, I would have loved to see more of the MC growing up, but I don't really care.
It's pretty engaging, and I had fun. And I will be continuing this series!

Vikir, our MC, is so cunning and always a couple of steps ahead of everyone (duh) and it was so satisfying following him around. It was fun. Quite bloody, and mercyless, but oh, so good!

"The Baskerville Family is often referred to as the House of Berserkers."

Vikir's served the family faithfully for years, knowing nothing other than being a loyal dog. Until his accomplishments and services land him in a betrayal plot against him and his execution. Before the blade falls he vows that if he were to redo it all he would do it better and serve justice to his "father".

Something hears his resolve because he is thrust back in time to his baby self. Vikir realizes he truly does get a redo at this storyline, only all his memories from his past life are with him. Causing him to know things and adapt faster than before! Some things remain the same while there are other plotlines he wasn't prepared for. Will he be able to accomplish his revenge plot?

I was intrigued by this title because I grew up with the great Sherlock Holmes and had read "The Hound of the Baskervilles". I was drawn in but this read is in no way a retelling of the classic. It has some elements and names but otherwise it's an original story.

Vikir was an interesting character, though he is very much overpowered. But I mean that's to be expected when you have the memories from your previous life. Though he understands he cannot show his hand too soon or else he may be removed from the narrative again. It was fascinating watching his mind work and how he accomplished that carrot on a stick method. Securing his place and keeping "father" invested in him.

This is a dark graphic novel with dark themes. Vikir has to survive a very harsh environment, and things don't get better. The artwork is beautiful, but it also helps to depict the intensity of this family. There's no sympathy for infants or children. They go through brutal training and are forced to remain in a constant state of survival mode. Violence, blood, gritty, and dark.

We do get hints and understandings of Vikir's past life to clarify some of the choices he makes in this new one. But I do like that even though he follows a plan and makes better decisions than he did ripples happen. Causing changes in the timeline he knew that place new obstacles in his way. Will be interesting to see how far things will change and if he will even be able to remain on his designated path. Or if things go astray too much, will he have a new goal to aim for?

Cliffhanger and a new turn of events for Vikir to navigate. Enjoyed the fighting sequences and how his warped mind worked. The manga is in full color and again the artwork is so phenomenal!

Do enjoy the first volume about a redo of life but with a bunch of psychos and mind games. Don't forget to give the collection of people who brought this manga together some stars!

Thank you, Yen Press and NetGalley!

I wasn't sure what to think of this at first, but I very quickly realised this was going to be a new favourite! I absolutely loved the art style (if you love the art in Solo Leveling you'll love it here too!) and I can see this being an amazing series and even a fantastic anime too! I can't wait to read Vol 2 as soon as I can get my hands on it!!

Thank you so much to Yen Press for providing me with a review copy via Netgalley

Revenge of the Baskerville Bloodhound surprised me even though it does have the same tropes as other similar works. I liked the setting and how the Baskerville children are trained to be these hound dogs for the family and do its dirty work. Vikir Von Baskerville served the family only to meet his destiny as a traitor and got executed by the guy who was his supposed father. He then got born again his memories intact and now he seeks for a revenge. In a sense this is your basic reincarnation with full memories. The thing that sets this apart though is that Vikir actually plans everything as he was over 30 when he originally died. He makes adult decisions and hides his abilities and that's perfect. But, perhaps putting him in a 8-year-old body with rippled muscles is weird in too many ways. I wish he was at least twelve.

The art looks interesting and the manhwa is in full color, so the reading experience was quite good. The cover looks very fine too! Some minor changes would've made this work better, but overall the plot is interesting and I'm glad to see Vikir acting like an adult for once. Let's hope there's interesting times ahead, since the potential is surely there!

Despite the name, this has nothing to do with Sherlock Holmes, or our world either. Vikir van Baskerville is one of many bastards of Hugo Le Baskerville, a family called berserkers for their bloodthirsty ways. Children are pitted against one another since infancy, but because he’s illegimate, Vikir isn’t given the same chances as the legitimate siblings. He’s a loyal hound though—until he’s betrayed at 40 and executed. He swears revenge and is reborn.

Finding himself as an infant with all his memories intact, he sets out to become the strongest. Vol. 1 follows his journey to an eight-year-old, as he uses all his skills and cunning to become more powerful than he was in his first life already as a child.

This was a good start. The world is good but not unique, and it’s constructed like game with different level monsters, dungeons, and final bosses. The story is bloodthirsty and Vikir doesn’t really have redeeming qualities, but neither do the other characters, and he’s interesting in comparison. I’m not sure I cared enough about it to continue though. Art was full colour and good.

ARC Review

Vikir was betrayed in his past life, but when he wakes up after his death in the body of his infant self, he decides this time will be different. Vikir is a good main character with solid goals and a plan. I enjoyed seeing him make steps to better his chances in this go-around of life. There is plenty of action, but this first volume does spend a good amount of time giving backstory (one of the side effects of the MC having foreknowledge of events and a desire for revenge). The last few chapters helped flesh out the world-building by introducing a different ruling house beyond Baskerville.

The art style is really good and I liked the lighting and color changes of scenery. Topic-wise, this is a darker story than I am used to, but the journey is intriguing enough that I need to know how the story ends. Looking forward to see what happens in volume 2.

Thanks NetGalley and Yen Press/ Ize Press for the ARC!

Revenge of the Baskerville Bloodhound, Vol. 1 is a brutal, razor-sharp revenge fantasy that grabs hold from the first page and doesn’t let go.

The premise is instantly compelling: children raised as weapons, a lifetime of loyalty repaid with betrayal, and a second chance at life fueled by memory and rage. Watching Vikir navigate the same cruel system with foresight, patience, and a burning desire for revenge is deeply satisfying, and the Baskerville family is convincingly monstrous.

The worldbuilding is dark and unforgiving, perfectly matched by S.arang’s striking, visceral artwork. Action scenes hit hard, and REDICE Studio's adaptation keeps the story tense and fast-moving.

Intense, unapologetically dark, and incredibly satisfying—this is a must-read for fans of revenge-driven fantasy and rebirth stories.

Anyone who enjoys regression revenge stories would likely enjoy this! Vikir von Baskerville is subsequently given a second chance at life after being executed by his father. The Baskerville children are raised to be loyal hounds, so we see some of this training through the eyes of an 8-year-old Vikir. I will say that some scenes can be quite far-fetched and fast-paced, but they are common for the genre. While I lean more towards romance manhwa, I did enjoy this. There are a lot of elements that are shared throughout all the manhwa categories, so I feel this is a story that a lot of people would enjoy. The art is also beautiful, which makes it an even nicer read!

This was a good start. The buildup of the plot seemed stagnant, but interesting. I liked the information giving about the stats of monsters on what level they're at and the ones Vikir absorbs into the sword he acquires to level up. It reminded me of a video game. The plot is transmigration, which follows a strong revenge of the main protagonist plotting to kill the person who betrayed him in his past life. The story is slow paced and has a lot of inner dialogue. There is potential in the story and would like to know what happens next.

Thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy for an honest review.

Vikir wakes up reborn back in time, and immediately starts to enact his plan for revenge to those who wronged him in his previous life. Great full colour illustrations and action sequences. Love a character with strategies to get stronger. This was so good! I am excitedly looking forward to the next volume and seeing where Vikir’s revenge plot takes him next. I will definitely be purchasing this volume for my book collection upon release and will be greatly anticipating the next volumes of the series.

This is a revenge and time-travel story where our main character is killed and suddenly finds himself reborn as a baby, back at the beginning of his life. Determined to change his fate, he sets out to take revenge on his father, who had him killed for something he didn’t do. This time, he works to become stronger and outshine his siblings in every way.

The story is full of intense action and violence, with art that perfectly matches its dark and dramatic tone.

Loved this! I’m trying to get into more Manwha and publishing web comics. This has stats easy to understand and they don’t overpower the story while drawing on Arthur Conan Doyle Insp which I love. Also a revenge story? Love.
