Yotsuba&! is a reliable comfort read made all the better when I can read it out loud to my daughter, something we've been doing since she was eight and did again this year when I gave her this newest volume for her birthday.
Life is full of wonders for little Yotsuba, and her excitement is infectious as she decorates for Christmas, plays at the park, and hikes up a mountain with her father and her frenemy, Yanda.
The wait between volumes has gotten longer, but the cute and funny results make it worthwhile.

4.8/5 stars — the continued award for most wholesome manga series in existence goes to… yotsuba&! I’m just endlessly charmed by how endearing and realistically written she is. I’ve loved these characters and this series since MIDDLE SCHOOL with no signs of stopping.

Yotsuba hikes a mountain and proves mysteriously adept at gymnastics. This volume is an absolute delight as to be expected. I’m so looking forward to when Yotsuba is in school.

“よつばと!”, volume 16, continues the wonderful slice-of-life story of Yotsuba. They climb Mount Takao, and the visual renderings are gorgeous.
The quirky humor is still going strong, though I could feel a bit of seriousness creeping in as her father is coming to terms with her starting school in the near future. I wonder if the artist will use that event to wrap up the story.
I bought this in Japan, and this is the first book I’ve read in Japanese since I read the previous volumes back in November.

Tous les quatre ans, nous sommes bénis par la sortie d’un nouveau tome de Yotsuba.
Ce tome 16 est dans la continuité des tomes précédents : une véritable parenthèse de bonne humeur, de douceur et de rires. Peu de livres ou de mangas peuvent se targuer de me faire rire à voix haute, mais Yotsuba y parvient à tous les coups.
Une réussite, comme d’habitude.

Wonderful volume, It was such a great read and the reveal of Osaka at the end was amazing, I’ve now read up to the most recently release of Yotsuba and can say that all these books are 10/10 fantastic reads they’re so wholesome and charming and just have so much heart you never want to put them down, This series will be an infinite reread series these characters really stick with you and the books really make you love them so seeing an old character from Azumanga Daioh in this volume made it even better as I love that series too, Kiyohiko Azuma is a legend and a master at his craft his works are the pinnacle of slice of life and hasn’t been topped no one else’s work give me the same feelings his does and not to mention his art is also top notice and wonderful to look at while reading too, Overall I’ll say this volume was great and I can’t wait to read more when it’s released and this whole series is a masterpiece and my favourite manga ever.

I have been waiting five years for this volume and as expected, it doesn’t disappoint. Not only do the stories continue to be both charming and hilarious, but the artwork, as always, is absolutely stunning. The detail is almost unbelievable. There’s nothing quite like the experience of reading along and then opening up to a gorgeous, two-page spread that so beautifully captures the wonder and excitement of seeing the world from Yotsuba-chan’s POV. This manga series is hands-down my all-time favorite. Delightful!

Yanda and Yotsuba hiking up a mountain was worth every moment in this volume. Absolutely perfect. I love this series and anytime I feel a little down or stressed, I pick up one of these. I’ve read it multiple times with my daughter and I’m so glad I invested in these and bought them. We pick them up all the time.

Before Yotsuba starts school, her dad wants to make the most of the full days they have left together for activities. Someone suggests hiking, so he researches a hike that shouldn't be too challenging, gets equipment, and finds another adult (Yanda...does he count?) to join them. Yotsuba also hangs out with the neighbor girls, provides medical assistance, and learns about hobbies from them.
Ahhh, it is so good to spend time with Yotsuba and gang again! And the best part of this book was the last page promising more to come!!! I love the everyday activity humor of Yotsuba with her dad and neighbors. Watching a kid tear up a mountain trail and have the adult struggle along behind feels very realistic. The artwork of the mountain scenery is also gorgeous. You'd be completely justified in picking this up to look at the artwork (though you'd be missing out on the fun of Yotsuba's antics). So glad they are expanding this series gain. Yotsuba is so much fun to spend time with.

Yotsuba part faire une randonnée en montagne accompagnée de son père et de son pire ennemi Yanda. Au programme une longue marche jusqu’au sommet, un pique-nique et un retour en télésiège. Dans les autres chapitres, la fillette décore le sapin de Noël, joue à la restauratrice, se cherche un hobby et rencontre pour la première fois une vraie maîtresse d’école.
Toujours aussi irrésistible la petite Yotsuba ! Du haut de ses cinq ans (bientôt six), elle pose un regard à la fois naïf et déterminé sur le monde qui l’entoure. Gravitant au milieu d’adultes qu’elle mène par le bout du nez, elle croque la vie à pleines dents avec tout l’appétit d’une enfant heureuse de chaque instant qui passe. Une vraie bouffée d’oxygène dans un monde de plus en plus irrespirable. Sans aucun doute le manga le plus craquant, le plus positif et le plus feelgood (dans le bon sens du terme) de la production actuelle. J’adore sans la moindre restriction ni le moindre bémol ! Il est juste dommage de devoir attendre deux ou trois ans entre chaque tome.

Of all the books I will read this year, I wouldn’t have guessed a brand new Yotsuba volume was a possibility. I was stunned to see the series had continued since the last English release was way back in 2021.
Yotsuba is definitely growing up. She’s still full of energy and crazy expressions, but she seems a little calmer than earlier volumes. I didn’t think the adventures in this one were especially memorable, but there were still lots of cozy, charming moments so I can’t say I’m disappointed.
I hope the next release comes out within the next 2 years! 5 years is way too long to wait.

akhirnya punya kesempatan buat baca manga yotsuba versi lokal dulu. seperti biasa selalu takjub sama author yang bikin background supe detail di cerita yotsuba main ke gunung. seru banget liat interaksi yanda × yotsuba yang hari rasanya ada yang kurang kalo nggak gelut. satu lagi kelemahan bapaknya yotsuba ketauan di volume kali ini.

El último tomo en español (hasta la fecha) y te lo bebes.
Nunca te puedes imaginar lo bien que te lo puedes pasar viendo a una niña de cinco años ir de excursión a un monte con su papá y su "no" amigo, el impagable Yuta.
Una pena que no haya más tomos por ahora, porque son tan confort, tan soft que es lo que necesitas en un día torcido para irte con el corazón calentito a descansar.
Si no conocéis el manga... ¡os animo a descubrirlo!

Honestly, when i read the last ch of this vol i cried, especially when yotsuba buying bags to prepare for her pre-school, and when yousuke said that it is children job to make mistake and its the adult job to resolve it as long as they dont lying
What i like about this book is how heartwarming this series is n how sweet yotsuba father too her was.
I hope i can become like Yousuke koiwai when i become a father, maybe hes not the perfect dad but i will follow the good thing he did

Great as usual! I do wish I didn't have to waist 5 years between volumes but I definitely will!
Yanda and Yotsuba are so funny together. Glad they had fun hiking together. The Azumanga Daioh cameo was excellent! Loved it so much❤️ I hope to see more of that in future volumes! 😁
