The Russian Witch's Curse Collection Books 1-3

If you’re the kind of person who’s willing to try something DIFFERENT, then you might love this enemies-to-lovers horse-shifter romantasy series. Are you ready for stallion shifters, strong, possessive heroes, and smart, yet flawed heroines?

BOOK My Queendom for a Horse

Kristiana Liepa was supposed to use the money to save her family farm. She was NOT supposed to spend it all to save a massive, black stallion.

But when she saw how he was being treated, what's a vet to do?

She had no idea that gorgeous beast was really a powerful (and morally gray) magician who had been cursed by a witch, or that she was the only one who could reverse the curse.

And she couldn't possibly have known how that one rash decision would irrevocably change her life. . . and his.

Still not sure? Publisher’s Weekly said, “My Queendom for a Horse is an intriguing paranormal romance with a fresh and fun setup. [R]eaders will enjoy both the magical and romantic elements. The story of a shapeshifting horse is undoubtedly unique. The author puts a dynamic spin on fairytale tropes, while her knowledge and love of horses is evident throughout. A strong, confident female character takes center stage in this novel with her ability to talk to a cursed horse.”

BOOK My Dark Horse Prince

Mirdza Strelkova should have minded her own business on the long train ride, because she knew just how nasty violent men could be. Or perhaps that's precisely why she stepped in to help the frightened mother and terrified child.

But in her wildest dreams, she never imagined she'd be tossed out the window of a moving train, broken and bleeding. And she never could have predicted the dark horse who would come to her aid or the comeback story that lay before them both.

Publisher's Weekly said, "My Dark Horse Prince is a fast-paced, action-filled romance with bonus elements of fantasy and mob violence. This action-packed fantasy romance follows Mirdza Strelkova and her shape-shifting love interest, Grigoriy. The narrative will ensnare readers from the start, traveling a twisty road that culminates in a cliffhanger ending—though the conclusion's loose ends may be disappointing to some, given the sheer length of the novel.

Baker's prose is clear, distinct, and descriptive overall, facilitating the fast-moving plot. The book's unique combination of romance and fantasy is appealing, but more clarity and explanation as to the nature of the story's magic would be helpful. Readers should be aware of trigger warnings given the profuse domestic violence scattered throughout.

Overall, the characters were complex and compelling, and Baker's choice to feature a strong female character who is in a wheelchair was refreshing."

BOOK My High Horse Czar

Adriana’s stuck between a rock and a very hard, very dangerous place. It’s not the first time she’s ever been in trouble, but it is the worst.

When her twin sister Mirdza calls and tells her she’s going to be killed unless Adriana surrenders herself in half an hour, Adriana figures she doesn’t have much to lose.

But she has no idea how much excitement her future holds, or whose protection she’s about to awaken.

The scrappy fighter who has vowed never to date or marry is about to meet her match in the highest horse-shifter in existence—the displaced Czar of Russia himself, Alexei Romanov.

My Queendom for a Horse

It was time for bed. I had just finished my previous book. I was just opening this one to get it ready for the next day. Then I was just going to read a paragraph…a page…the first chapter. All of the sudden I was a quarter of the way through the book!

This was a great, clean paranormal romantic fantasy. We have our heroine who is on the verge of losing everything and then she spends her money on a horse. Set in Latvia, this was a single POV romantasy. It is sweet and clean but on the heated and edgy side. There is mention of some parts because when Aleks shifts out of horse form, he doesn’t have clothes. He is the quintessential alpha hero. Russian and possessive and protective. This book had a love triangle (which I abhor) but I loved it anyway. Some day I might meet a Baker book that doesn’t captivate me, but it has yet to happen. I sailed through this book and am starting the next one immediately. This is a just kisses romance, intimacy level 3.

My Dark Horse Prince:

This series, while it has stand alone romances, should be read in order. It’s a very bingeable series. I can’t put down this series I end each book wishing it was longer and immediately grabbing the next book. This is a clean horse shifter romantasy book. It’s a just kisses romance but there is some heat and edginess with it. As it is a horse shifter read, there needs to be shifting. And animals don’t wear clothes. So, that’s is mentioned occasionally in reference to particular male anatomy. I enjoyed spending a bunch of time in Russia in this one. This one has more of the danger and suspense that didn’t exist much in book 1. I’m enjoying the overarching mystery and how we get more dots and clues as each book progresses.

My High Horse Czar:

This is a thrilling series! It is just kisses, clean romantasy with horse shifters, Russia, a curse, magic, and more. I am absolutely loving it and I can't wait to dive into the next book! This book had a reluctant heroine and I adored how our Czar hero took his time with her and didn't push. All of our heros so far have been total Alpha Males, but they are also SO gentle with the heroines! This isn't the possessive alpha male who is a misogynist, it's the possessive and protective alpha male who is also so totally pro-woman and all of that. It's great. I'm loving the locale, the suspense, and the overarching mystery and problems that they are all facing. I just with that the whole series was available right now!

The Russian Witch's Curse is a book series you HAVE to read! This series is an urban fantasy with horse shifters. Yup, you read that right, horse shifters. This is for all those horse girls out there and for everyone that wants something new to read. Don't get me wrong, I love to read my dragon shifters, wolf shifters, panther shifters, fae, vampires, ect. but this is something unique and different and it did not disappoint! Each book features a different couple with their own set of challenges. There is an over arching plot that keeps the mystery going. I will also tell you that this author is so good at making you hate someone in one book and then fall in love with them in the next. I promise you, you'll love this series!

So if you like the following then this series is for you!

*Mystery
*Betrayal
*Found Family
*Secrets
*Horse Shifters
*Romance without the spice
*Action-Packed
*Cinnamon Roll Heros
*Fish out of water
*Strong Female Leads

I wasn’t sure what to expect with a shifter series. I honestly tend to stay away from them as I mostly like more closed door romance type books and the few I’ve been exposed to are much too spicy for me. But knowing Bridget’s style, I took a chance and ended up loving this series. I couldn’t put it down because I wanted to learn more. She can paint a scene and world beautifully. Each book follows a different couple but you’ve at least met them lady MCs in the previous books. Make sure you tighten your saddle girths because you’re in for a fun magical ride with this series!

This reminded me so much of Judith Tarr's " A Wind in Cairo" with men shifted into stallions and the women who freed them. Lots of misunderstandings, resilience and cultural chaos made for lots of emotional upheaval, sparks and fireworks. This box set was a fun read and a great introduction to this author's work.

Great read!!

I loved everything about these books. I just finished the third book, and I am about to start the fourth. I have already added the 5th & 6th books to my kindle, as I am sure they will be as good as all the others. If you love shifter books as much as I do, you will find this series absolutely addictive.

Brilliant Idea, and bit to wordy

Author gets to wordy at times and I found myself paging through to get back to the actual story. I will not continue this series for this reason.
This 3 books could have easily been a 2 book story without lossing much at all.
