Are all the new series I check out this week going to feature their female leads’ breasts as the primary focal point? With only one left in my queue after this, the odds are not looking good.
This is… surprisingly dull, if we’re being honest. It features a giant woman with social anxiety and a small guy. That… is basically it. She’s a vtuber (albeit a very boring one, to be blunt) and he delivers food while loving her vtuber persona. Naturally he doesn’t realize that she’s the vtuber in question.
There are a couple of things I liked here. Our female lead, who remains as nameless as our male lead, has an amazing repertoire of facial expressions and they’re basically the best art in the book.
Further, they actually address the problems that can stem from being judged for having oversized breasts, which is a route that many, many more manga could stand to examine. I mean, she’s absolutely being exploited by the author, but it’s a start.
The delivery guy is… nice. He tries to encourage her, even though her social anxiety is so incredibly bad that she needs both therapy and medication and not the dude who swings by with the karaage, no matter how they want to frame it.
He wildly misinterprets things at times, thinking she’s about to murder him (but entering her home anyway, which is like asking for a Darwin Award). This appears to be the bulk of the humour, or the attempts at it anyway. This is… not funny. Well, maybe the futon bit.
I hesitate to call this dire, it is trying hard and it gets… maybe an eighth better by the time it ends. But there’s so little here and what is there is kind of cringe, but not in the goofy cringe comedy sort of way.
If [female]’s vtuber persona had any sort of definition, maybe. If there were consistent good jokes, sure. Even the fanservice is underwhelming if you’re after that.
There’s nothing fun about somebody so clearly traumatized and petrified to leave the house without going at least way, way wackier. As it stands, this is just kind of depressing. I mean, sure, you’re rooting for [female], but it’s mostly down to pity (at least for me).
2.5 stars - yeah, maybe it has an idea, but it doesn’t know what to do with it. There’s nothing here that makes me feel like a second volume can change my mind and that’s a rare beast indeed. Not for me.

As I noted in a review of Fan/Girl x Call/Boy 1, romance manga focusing on shut-ins is common enough that you gotta do something to set yourself apart. And this one has the mostly cute and comedic gimmick of the shut-in having a resting bitch face that puts off the male protag, even as internally she's about five seconds from a crying fit. So far it's just been our characters doing some chatting and managing an outing to a corner convenience store together, with the promise of another character on the horizon who also stans the Vtuber's online persona.
That said, it can feel a little like the main guy forgets that her resting bitch face is. Just that. Like it is complicated by the fact that so far they are working together without an easy definition of what they are. Not friends, not employer-employee, not lovers, co-workers isn't quite what they are, team mates might be the closest. And this still developing partnership between them has room for plenty of misunderstanding.
And as other reviewers have noted. Yeah, it's a little weird and not great that the manga is trying to humanize her by noting how sucky it is to be judged for big breasts but still uses those breasts as a lot of manga does for the male gaze.
(And yeah it's a little awkward writing this out, to realize I don't think their names are mentioned in the manga, aside from her Vtuber handle. Perhaps that is also reflective of what they are to each other but. Eh. I do think it's somewhat weird to not give the names of your main leads in the first volume of a series. Gives it all a bit of a half baked feel.)

Sometimes it's nice to start a series and know that book 1 is the last book too.
Social anxiety super tall woman with giant breasts tries to get her delivery guy to help her acclimate to talking with humans. Also she's a VTuber. Also she's his FAVORITE VTuber, despite this being out in the sticks. I'm too old and have been anime too long for boob-focused gags every other page, which sucks because there's a small part that IS interesting (social anxiety due to her being super tall/big overall and how people have treated her because of it).
Maybe further volumes will have further development, but I don't need to find out really. Thankfully the six people waiting on my Libby check-out will get their book faster without another body in line for volume 2!

Tbh, read the whole first volume/tankoban, which was about 8ish chapters. Maybe closer to 12 chapters with all the side chapters that this manga includes. And…I was not impressed. People seem to like this series, but the characters only have vague traits for personalities and it’s all tropes that build this story and no real heart or originality. There is no hook or anything special that makes me want to keep reading. Is the female lead hot? Yes, but I can find that on plenty other manga.
If you’re on the fence about starting this series, rest easy knowing you’re okay to skip it without missing much.

Very cute and fun. This scary looking vtuber is actually a shut-in and is very shy. She gets all her meals by delivery and she becomes friends with the delivery Guy. It's so cute. This is the first volume and I definitely want to read more.

This is a nice on-going manga and I'm interested to see how their relationship will develop.

I enjoyed this one. It jumped around a little to much for my liking but when I understood what was going on, it was solid. I'll be hunting for the sequel shortly.
