One apartment. One fake boyfriend. One agreement waiting to be broken.
I’m tired of my dad playing matchmaker. As a music teacher juggling life with sickle cell disease, I don’t have time—or energy—for forced dinner dates with “eligible men.” So, I come up with a find a fake boyfriend, let him move in, and make it believable. Daniel was never supposed to say yes. He’s a grumpy, emotionally walled-off lawyer who hates chaos and clings to solitude. But now he’s in my apartment—tall, brooding, infuriatingly neat—and fitting into my world way too easily. I don’t believe in love. Not when life has taught me it rarely sticks around. But something about him feels dangerously real.
Something about her captured my attention the moment I met her. I knew I was in trouble. Controlled and always alone—that’s who I’ve been. But I said yes before I could stop myself. Because moving into her tea-scented, music-filled home was the only way I could be close to her. She’s sunshine and sharp edges. She hums while stirring honey into her cup and smiles through pain like it’s nothing. This was supposed to be pretend. But with every stolen glance and late-night conversation, the line between real and fake keeps slipping. She doesn’t believe in love. I never thought it was possible. But living with her is rewriting everything I thought I knew— And walking away might not be an option.
From the moment he laid eyes on her, he knew he would do anything to bring her into his life. Now, with the perfect excuse in hand, he is determined to make her fall in love with him. While it may all seem like a pretence to her, his feelings are genuine.
Ms. Akinosho certainly puts the characters through emotional trials in this tale filled with illness, danger, pain, angst, love, anxieties, and obsessions.
The Roommate Agreement is the third book in The Agreement series, featuring themes such as age gap, fake relationships, and a Grumpy/Sunshine dynamic. What starts as a simple arrangement evolves into something neither of them expected. However, the journey to finding love proves to be quite challenging.
Give it a try—you might discover that you love it!
The Roommate Agreement is Book 3 in this series, with fake dating/relationship and forced proximity filled with love, drama, family, illness and suspense. I love the over protectiveness of Daniel as he navigates this facade of being strong, but then meets his niece's music teacher, Anu. As Daniel and Anu develop from friendship to love for each other, there is danger hidden in a corner that no one saw coming. Will Daniel be there for Anu when she needs him the most...
This is overall a good story, and I did enjoy the sense of friendship and family and the love between the two main characters.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
The Roommate Agreement is the third book in A. Akinosho’s Agreement series, and it delivers a heartfelt contemporary romance filled with proximity, fake-dating, found family vibes, and a protective hero who will quite literally do anything for the woman he loves.
The story follows Makayla (Anu), a passionate and talented music teacher juggling a demanding life—her students, her music projects, fundraising for her program, and managing a chronic illness. When she starts to feel like someone is watching her, she looks for a roommate… and Daniel, the grumpy, wealthy lawyer who has been smitten with her since their first meeting, jumps at the chance to be the one she lives with.
I really enjoyed the dynamic between them: Daniel’s quiet devotion, his caregiver instincts, and the way Anu brings warmth and brightness into his structured world. The book handles themes of illness and mental health with care, and the side characters (and villains!) add layers of tension and drama. There are emotional moments, sweet moments, and a few darker scenes that raise the stakes.
My personal taste leans heavily toward very slow-burn romances with lots of drawn-out tension, and this book wasn’t quite slow-burn enough for me. Daniel and Anu’s connection develops fairly quickly, and while they have great chemistry, I found myself wishing for more teasing, more buildup, and more of that delicious “will-they/won’t-they” pull before things moved forward.
That said, it’s still an enjoyable, easy-to-read romance with lovable characters, heartfelt themes, and a protective MMC readers will swoon over.
A charming addition to the series—especially for readers who enjoy grumpy/sunshine, fake relationships, and heroes who fall first and fall hard.
Side note: When you are reading a book and you are sad to finish it and it’s really hard to say goodbye to your character “friends “, that’s how you know it was a great read… That’s me, I don’t know about you‘all.
Uncle Dan & Ms K were really a fated match… the age gab is hardly noted because Anu/MAK wasn’t your average 20 something girl, very mature and with all her health issues, she had her life under control. And Mr Handsome/Successful wealthy lawyer was exactly what she needed and vice versa. I love the way he dealt with his enemies… whatever they were about to do to his woman, he applied the same method on them… The way he dealt with Sophie was Sweeeeeeeeet 😂, I couldn’t be more pleased! 😀 Their camaraderie, bantering, I just loved them!! So Aaron & Nkem!? wow!! Can’t wait ! Great read!!
Daniel sees Anu and is smitten right away. It was lust at first sight for him, but not as much for her. And then fate steps in and she is the music teacher for his niece. When he finds out she is in trouble and if she doesn’t raise a large some of money she may need to leave Chicago, he steps up and of course wins the bid for a a date with her. He stops at nothing to inject himself in her life. This man had it bad for her. And Anu, she needs to find a man to pretend to be her roommate and “fake boyfriend” so her father will stop trying to marry her off. Well, can you guess who offers up himself? Daniel of course! She has so much she is dealing with; her illness, she feels like someone is watching her, her dad trying to marry her off, raising funds for her music program, and helping produce music for a music star. She has little time for romance, but Daniel is there, as a friend, and slowly becoming more as he is a constant and steady person for her to rely on. I enjoyed the sense of danger and suspense this story brought.
I am a longtime romance lover, and I always enjoy discovering stories that bring something new to the genre. Age gap romances have slowly been growing on me, and this one reminded me why. The dynamic between an older MMC and a younger FMC was handled with care and depth, and I found myself drawn into their connection right from the start. On top of that, inter-racial romances are not something I pick up often, so this felt like a refreshing change of pace. I loved how naturally their chemistry developed and how genuine their bond felt.
Since this is book three in the series, there were a few moments where I could tell I had missed some background from the earlier books. Even with that, I still found myself invested in the characters and eager to see how everything would unfold. One aspect that stood out to me the most was the FMC's experience living with sickle cell. I have never read a romance that featured it, and it added an emotional layer that felt both important and respectfully written. As someone who knows people who deal with the condition, I appreciated how the author brought attention to it while still giving the FMC strength, vulnerability, and agency.
The MMC was another standout for me. He is wealthy and carries a level of influence that could have easily overshadowed the story, but instead it made the relationship more interesting. Watching him soften, support, and genuinely show up for the FMC made their romance feel even more meaningful. By the end, I was rooting for them both. Even with the small pieces I felt I missed from the previous books, I really enjoyed this one and would be interested in going back to read the earlier installments.
**I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.**
MAK and Daniel struggled at first to tell it to each other straight. There were a lot of incorrect assumptions that slowed down their progress.
I enjoyed how the book depicted new relationships that involve a chronic illness. They both have such a beautiful support network that was well discussed too. I wish they would have grown to be more open in the beginning but appreciated their ability to resolve and forgive!!
Daniel goes through elaborate machinations to insert himself into Anu's life. With unknowns in the mix, danger and suspense add intrigue. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
This is the third book in this impressive series, and this is Makayla and Daniel’s story. Makayla is a music teacher, who is struggling with a debilitating illness, and does not have the time or energy to deal with her overbearing father’s meddling to find her a date. Daniel is a broody, and grumpy, lawyer, and when he overhears a conversation, he steps in to become Makayla’s fake date to get her dad off her back. This is a well written easy to read story, with family, friendships, emotions, grumpy / sunshine, opposites attract, tension, suspense, misunderstandings, meddling, humour, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and heartfelt, addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Romantic, spicy, funny and educational. I loved reading Daniel and Anu/MAK/Ms K's story. This was the first book I had read in the series but I am looking forward to going back and reading the first two. This book can be read as a standalone though and it interjects aspects of Yoruba culture and language so it's educational at the same time! A great read!
Tropes: Age-age, proximity, fake relationship, caregiver, found family, Grumpy/Sunshine dynamic, Mental Health Issues, Obsessive/Possessive Hero The Roommate Agreement is the third entry in A. Akinosho’s Agreement Series. Wealthy lawyer, Daniel Wyler, is an integral part of a close-knit group of friends. In the previous books, we see him assist both Declan and Luke in their quest for love. The Romance Agreement opens at Luke and Dele’s wedding where Daniel literally runs into Makayla (Anu), for Daniel, it is love/lust/attraction at first sight, and he cannot forget the incandescent beauty. Fate is kind and to his great delight, Daniel meets Anu again when he discovers that she is his niece’s much loved music teacher. Daniel and his niece have their love for Anu in common 😊. Anu has a LOT on her plate, she is grappling with a debilitating illness, she helps produce music for an established star, she teaches music and she is trying to raise funds to keep her music program thriving….whew!! She has little time for romance and then she has this creepy feeling that someone is watching her. Anu’s solution to her nebulous stalking situation is to look for a possible roommate. Of course, Daniel jumps at the chance to leave his luxury accommodation and move into Anu’s tiny apartment. What we won’t do for love! Anu and Daniel made an awesome couple; I loved how he cared for her through her challenges, both physical and emotional, and she brought brightness and joy to his regimented and rather dreary life, The story had its share of angst and conflict that almost (almost) unraveled their love connection, but each time Daniel (it was always him😊) did anything necessary to make the situation right. The book contained two well-defined villains and one that sneaked in at almost the end of the narrative. In addition, a couple of dark scenes were included that pushed the envelope and heightened the tension and had me clutching my pearls. In conclusion: I always enjoy Ms. Akinosho’s stories with her slightly OTT heroes and her cutely quirky heroines. It is always nice to catch up with previous leads, and I look forward to perhaps having the capable Bruce appear in his own story. Favorite Lines: I might as well meet Ms K and let her know I’m on to her.
I left feeling hollowed out, like I'd betrayed someone or lost something. Only certainty is I didn’t gain what I'd come for.
Like a damn hurricane, he just blew right in without a warning, and I’m left drenched.
“Our mystery lady is beautiful. She speaks three languages, loves to bake, and also enjoys taking walks.
“Do you need your brothers?” he asks. Our coded language to pull the fire alarm.
Tomorrow, our Roommate Agreement will be drafted.
“Please, don’t make us fight. I don’t like being treated like fine China. I’ve lived with sickle cell my whole life, and I know when to move and when not to move.

Vibe: warm, heartfelt, domestic, chemistry-driven Spice: moderate; intimate but emotionally grounded For fans of: cozy romances with depth, protective heroes, and relationships built on small moments that accumulate into something real
💜 A tender, uplifting addition to the series that's full of devotion, vulnerability, and a couple you can’t help but root for.
In this steamy story, Anu (also known as MAK, Ms. K, and Makayla) has a dream of living in Chicago and teaching music. Teaching music is her passion. Her music program is in desperate need of money to continue. Anu’s friends plan a fundraiser where there is a special auction at the end of the night, a date with Anu.
Daniel ran into Anu at a friends’ wedding. Daniel was taken with Anu, even though he didn’t know her name. He was obsessed. Daniel took a job in Chicago to help his father out and smooth out one of the offices. While Daniel is in Chicago, he is introduced to Ms. K, his niece’s music teacher. It is his obsession. Daniel plots to spend more time with her.
Daniel plots and schemes his way into the fundraiser and wins the 2 dates for the secret auction. When they are out on the first date, Anu tells Daniel about her possible stalker and states that she wants to get a male roommate that will pose as her boyfriend. Daniel agrees. Anu is unsure. But Daniel presses ahead. They agree on terms, type it up, and sign the roommate agreement. Daniel never plans to leave.
Things are going well. They stop fighting the chemistry between them. Things get smexy, oh so smexy. Then drama. Daniel handles it badly. He is too upset to use his brain. He says some stupid stuff and walks out. Anu has a medical crisis immediately following this not-break up. Daniel tries to win her back. Then there is some crazy, out of line drama. I am not a fan of the way Daniel handled that situation. Not at all. I totally agree with what he said at his office the next day (that he would ruin her) but nopity-nope-no-nope on the way he handled the other.
Then Daniel gets his way and never has to let Anu go. It was sweet. Good story, minus that one part.
The Roommate Agreement was a cute, easy read with exactly the kind of fake-dating chaos I was hoping for. The setup is classic: two roommates, one billionaire (because of course), and an agreement that is definitely not going to stay strictly business. Anu is a music genius and is a private tutor for many. Dan is the billionaire who bumps into Anu one day and can’t stop thinking about her, until he realizes she is his niece’s music teacher. He works very hard to find ways to be around her, and just his luck, she is looking for a roommate (for a handful of reasons). You already know where that is going to go, they fake date, fall in love, but have struggles to get over concerning Dan’s bachelor life and Anu’s health. Will the two of them let those walls down long enough to realize they are made for each other? I liked how their chemistry is somewhat immediate, but also builds slowly—there are awkward moments, sweet scenes, and a few laugh-out-loud situations that feel like something your best friend would call you about at midnight. The billionaire angle is fun without being too over-the-top, and I appreciated that both characters have their own goals and insecurities outside the romance. The tension stays light, the banter is cute, but you can feel the desire of the characters! For the most part, it was an enjoyable read—perfect if you’re in the mood for fake dating, forced proximity, and a warm fuzzy ending. However, the ending was my least favorite part of the book, but it is probably because the situation is not my favorite to read about in books. Still worth the read in the end though.
Makayla is plain tired. She’s tired of her father trying to set her up with men he approves of. She’s tired all the time because she lives with sickle cell disease. So, she devises a brilliant plan where she finds a fake boyfriend, they become roommates and put on a show. When grumpy, sexy as hell, Daniel agrees to her arrangement, she’s flummoxed. He seems to blend into her life and before she realizes what’s happened, love creeps into their fake relationship. Can Makayla take a chance on love and Daniel, or will she end their agreement and wall off her heart forever?
The Roommate Agreement is a fantastic contemporary romance with grumpy-sunshine, fake boyfriend, forced proximity tropes thrown in. From the moment I started reading to the last page, I was hooked. The descriptive narration is immersive. The characters are well-written, relatable, and full of emotion. The setting and world-building are flawlessly written. There’s even a bit of suspense thrown in which has me reading late into the night.
This is my first book by A. Akinosho and I was so impressed. She writes for the romance reader in all of us. She writes realistic characters dealing with life, love, and interfering family. The romantic tension is incredible. Her ability to build the relationship between Makayla and Daniel is reason enough to read The Roommate Agreement.
The Roommate Agreement was not what I was expecting going into. The ending though was what I expected, the book overall I felt surprisingly refreshing. The author wrote that two characters have many layers that if you pull each back you’re learning something new. Daniel and Mak have an instant connection that when they run into each other it starts all over again. It’s how it is till Daniel moves to Chicago. His mystery girl just happens to show up in his sister’s, teaching her daughter. It should be easier to seal the deal right? Wrong, he decided to avoid her which was a hindrance to both of them. So what now? Mak just doesn’t understand, he seems interested but he isn’t forthcoming. Not until the auction. The auction changes everything. After Daniel took his shot and made sure nobody won his girl, it led to an interesting situation. An agreement to be her roommate and fake boyfriend for a period of time. One she’s lonely two she needs people to stop trying to play match maker, including her father. But what happens when real feelings get involved? How long do things remain fake? That and so many more questions come up while reading. It keeps the reader turning the page, wanting to know what happens next. So now it’s your turn to take a chance on this book! Happy Reading!
I started The Roommate Agreement expecting a fun little fake-dating romance with billionaire energy—but this book had other plans for me.
From the very first pages, the chemistry crackles. Forced proximity, fake dating, shared living space… honestly, it’s a dangerous combination when the banter is sharp, the tension is thick, and the “pretending” starts to feel way too real. I found myself smiling, blushing, and occasionally whispering, okay… I see you.
The characters don’t just flirt with each other—they flirt with the reader. Watching their walls slowly come down was delicious. Every lingering look, every almost-confession, every moment they crossed a line they swore they wouldn’t? Chef’s kiss. The slow burn is done right—teasing, tempting, and completely worth the wait.
Yes, there’s billionaire glam, but what really hooked me was the emotional pull underneath it all. The vulnerability sneaks up on you right when you’re busy enjoying the heat, and suddenly you’re invested—in their fears, their wants, and that inevitable moment when pretending just isn’t enough anymore.
If you love fake dating romances that flirt shamelessly, build tension like a pro, and leave you wanting just one more chapter, this one delivers. The Roommate Agreement is fun, flirty, and just the right amount of dangerous—and I’ll absolutely be back for more from this series.
This is the second book I have read in this series which is just as great as the previous one. I enjoy this author’s heart warming, steamy characters that made the story easy to read. I also enjoyed this author’s use of details that made me feel as if I was part of the character’s world. This is a well written story about Makayla and Daniel. Makayla is someone who doesn’t believe in love but is in need of a fake boyfriend. Daniel knew that he was in trouble from the first time he set eyes on her. What happens between these two is something neither one will see coming. Will Daniel be able to change Makayla’s belief about love? Their story is one you don’t want to miss. I enjoyed both of these characters and what they brought to the story. Their chemistry and attraction is off the charts. They are engaging, connectable characters that make them care about what happens to them. I also enjoyed watching the growth of their story which made the story entertaining. I found this book to be a fast paced, hard to put down story and just a great story. I highly recommend this book.
The Roommate Agreement is the third book in The Agreement series by A. Akinosho. It is a contemporary romance with a slow-burn fake relationship/fake dating element, best friend’s brother, grumpy-sunshine factor, humour, chemistry, an agreement, emotion, and finding love unexpectedly. Ms. Akinosho Has crafted a story that’s as much about love as it is about resilience, friendship, and self-discovery. We follow Makayla, a music teacher navigating life with sickle cell disease, who’s determined to dodge her father’s matchmaking schemes. Her solution? A fake boyfriend who also becomes her roommate. Enter Luke - her best friend’s brother - whose charm and quiet strength make the “pretend” arrangement increasingly complicated. And so the story unfolds - balancing lighthearted banter with genuine emotional stakes. Makayla’s health challenges are portrayed with sensitivity, adding realism without overshadowing the romance. Luke’s character is equally compelling - protective without being overbearing. A charming read for fans of slow-burn romance with substance. Happy Reading…
The Roommate Agreement is a fun, easy-to-read romance that plays with the classic roommates-to-lovers trope. What starts as a practical living arrangement with clear rules quickly gets complicated once feelings begin to sneak in—because those “agreements” are never as simple as they sound. The characters are likeable and easy to connect with, and their chemistry builds naturally. I really enjoyed the banter and the gradual shift from just roommates to something more. It’s a light, cozy read with just the right amount of emotional depth mixed in. One thing I really appreciated was the inclusion of sickle cell disease in the story. I thought it was great to see this represented, and I actually learned something new while reading, which isn’t something I always expect from a romance. It added an extra layer to the book and made the story feel more meaningful. Overall, The Roommate Agreement is a sweet, enjoyable romance with heart, humour, and a bit of education woven in. If you like slow-burn vibes, forced proximity, and a feel-good story, this one is definitely worth checking out.
The Roommate Agreement is book three in A. Akinosho’s Agreement series, and honestly, this one was my favorite so far because it felt the most realistic.
Daniel is instantly smitten with Anu and wastes zero time finding excuses to be in her life. When fate (and fake dating) steps in, he becomes her roommate and pretend boyfriend, and what starts as an arrangement slowly turns into something real. Daniel is grumpy, overprotective, and completely head over heels for her, while Anu is juggling sickle cell, family pressure, work stress, and a growing sense that someone is watching her.
I really enjoyed the friendship and found family vibes, the way Daniel shows up for Anu, and the balance between romance, illness, and suspense. The danger element added tension I did not expect, and I loved that the story didn’t feel overly dramatic, just grounded and emotional.
While I usually prefer an ultra slow burn, I still found their connection believable and heartfelt. Overall, this was an easy, engaging read with solid chemistry, protective man energy, and enough realism to make it stand out from the rest of the series. A strong addition and my top pick of the series so far.
I have read a few books from this author. This author always surprises me with how they write their characters. This is the third book of the very addictive agreement series. This book could be read as a stand alone but there are previous characters in this story as well. I was so excited to read this book so I started it right away. I could not put it down until the end. I can’t wait to see what this author will write next.
Makayla is a very his woman but her dad keeps on trying to get her on dates. She is a music teacher that is also dealing with a very serious illness. Makayla is too tired to be dealing with her dad; she is on the hunt to find a fake boyfriend. She is shocked when the lawyer , Daniel, says yes to her agreement. Makayla doesn’t believe in love but with all the late nights with Daniel something sparks inside her. She always ends up heart broken and she doesn’t want to go through that again. Will Makayla find the perfect person or is this agreement just temporary?
An enjoyable and engaging fake dating contemporary romance which kept me hooked throughout. Fed up of her father playing matchmaker music teacher Makayla, who has sickle cell disease, decides to find a fake boyfriend. Lawyer Daniel agrees to be that fake boyfriend and moves in with Makayla. Daniel is grumpy, emotionally closed, infuriatingly neat, hates chaos and likes being alone. Makayla is sunshine, whose apartment is always filled with music and smells of tea and honey. Daniel was captivated by Makayla from the moment he met her, and she is surprised how easily he fits into her world. Through their late night conversations and stolen glances their fake relationship starts to feel very real. However, she doesn’t believe in love and he never thought falling in love was possible. I loved this heartwarming romance between two very likeable and relatable characters, whose chemistry sizzled off the page. It was definitely a case of opposites attract, and I was kept happily turning the pages as their fake relationship became very real.
I love when a book has female lead that has a disability. It makes those impossible characters seem more real, and more relatable. Makayla has sickle cell disease. Seeing her struggle through the day to day made my heart go out to her. I feel her pain and understand that when your body has one of those days, there's not much you can do. Seeing this representation got me on a whole other level. However, her dad is a little overbearing when it comes to her love life. When Daniel enters in the conversation, Makayla sees a way to keep her dad from meddling anymore, and a way to stay in Chicago to keep doing what she loves. The back and forth between Daniel and Makayla was cringeworthy at first, both not really telling to each other straight lead to a lot of misunderstandings, and miscommunications. But as the story went along, their communication got better. I loved reading this book and caught myself giggling and kicking my feet several times.
The Roommate Agreement: A Billionaire Fake Dating Romance (The Agreement Series) by A. Akinosho. This is the 3rd book in the Agreement Series and I loved this one. It's the story of Makayla (Anu), a music teacher who is juggling all the things. She is juggling her students, trying to fund her music projects and a chronic illness. She does it all with a smile on her facef but she doesn't believe in love. She thinks its something only in movies and books and that true love doesn't exist in real life so she decides she is going to get a roommate that is a "fake" boyfriend so all of her friends and family will leave her alone. Enter attorney Daniel who is grumpy and not wanting a girlfriend until he meets Anu and he is immediately smitten so he jumps at the chance to be her roommate. She isn't interested at the beginning but the more time they spend together the more she thinks maybe he's the real deal. Such a fun romance!
Okay, this is the kind of feel-good romance that gets under your skin and stays there. Makayla is a music teacher with a lot on her plate from dealing with sickle cell disease and an overenthusiastic dad who’s always trying to set her up with the “perfect man.” So, she comes up with a genius plan: a fake boyfriend who’ll move in with her and play the part. Enter Daniel, the grumpy, solitary lawyer who definitely isn’t looking for chaos in his life but somehow, he ends up in her apartment anyway. The dynamic between them is pure magic. It may have started as a pretend arrangement, but it slowly turns into something complicated and full of sizzling chemistry. I was immediately invested in these characters, but I couldn’t believe how deeply it developed. You will definitely find yourself blushing throughout parts of this phenomenal romance. The author does such a perfect job of beautifully blurring the line between “fake” and “real” love. Don’t pass on this one, you’ll regret it!
Makayla is a music teacher living in Chicago, who is tired of her father trying to find her a husband from his home in London, or trying to force her to move home. Daniel is a lawyer who just moved from New York to Chicago to be closer to his sister and niece. When Makayla bumps into Daniel at a wedding, literally, he can't get her out of his head. When she ends up being his niece's piano teacher, it gives him the opportunity to get to know Makayla better. Makayla decides that she needs a male roommate to convince her father that she has a boyfriend, so he will quit trying to find her a new boyfriend. Daniel sees this as a way to get to spend time with Makayla and try to convince her to be more than just in a fake relationship. This is a fake-relationship to real relationship with an illness added to the mix. This is a part of the Agreement series and is a guaranteed HEA.
This is the third installment in this series but can be read as a standalone. I think it's a good idea to read the previous books so you have a better backstory to some of the characters that show up in this book that are from the previous ones. Makayla is looking for a fake boyfriend in order to get her meddling dad from trying to help her with her love life. She is a very independent woman who stays busy and also lives with a disease. Daniel is a lawyer and lives a very rigid and controlled life but when he first runs into Makayla there is instant chemistry. These two have quite a bit of hurdles to overcome in the beginning. As time goes on they find a good rhythm. What will happen when it's time to end the agreement? To find out then this is a must read. I kept turning pages during this fun and emotional read. I highly recommend this book.
This is book 3 of this series. Anu (MAK) is a music teacher who has sickle cell disease , she becomes friends with a new artist named Jordan (Cole A) who also has sickle cell disease. Now Jordan has been rather protective of her and when she convinces a gentleman named Daniel Wyler ( an attorney) to become her fake boyfriend and roommate because she believes that there is someone watching her. Daniel has a niece who is Anu’s student and is very excited to be Anu’s “fake boyfriend”/roommate. What she doesn’t know is that Daniel wants to claim that she is his for real. You will laugh, cry and jump at all the things that happen throughout the storyline. I promise its something that everyone should read. I now want to read the first two books so that I have an understanding of how all the men in this story became “brothers”.
