Things are slow at private detective Rick Striker's office. He's just making ends meet with the same old cases. When another missing persons case walks through the door, Rick is grateful - these types of cases are usually easy money and he's good at them. And this one looks really easy. It looks like the girl might not really even be missing. He'll be lucky to be able to put in enough time earn out his retainer.
But things are different than they look, and he's drawn into a world that is very strange to him - and becomes stranger with each passing hour he spends on the case.
