Author Bio Roxy Rich

Roxy Rich writes psychological thrillers that will mess with your head, in the best possible way. Loosely based on true events (because real life is often more twisted than fiction), her stories take a deep dive into social injustices, especially those faced by women. Expect grit, heart, and the kind of realism that makes you wonder just how close to the truth she’s really getting.

While most of her work explores the raw and often brutal realities of human behaviour, Roxy occasionally veers off into darkly sarcastic tales about serial killers. You know, for balance.

She lives in the wilds of Somerset where she home educates her kids, writes brutally honest fiction, and dreams of salt water and gills, because she’s pretty sure she was a mermaid in a past life. When she’s not writing, you’ll find her swimming, chasing sea breezes, or side-eyeing society's hypocrisy like it just spilled red wine on her white carpet.

If you like your thrillers bold, smart, and laced with a wicked edge of truth, Roxy Rich is your next favourite author.
Dive in, just don’t expect to come up for air anytime soon.

What Did I Just Walk Into?
A domestic thriller turned gritty revenge fantasy with a main character who starts as prey and decides, “Actually, I’m the apex predator now.” Imagine Gone Girl meets The Equalizer, only with more digital sleuthing, hacker take-downs, and a satisfyingly savage emotional edge.

Here’s What Slapped:
Roxy Rich doesn’t hold back. This book tears into the ugly reality of abuse, systemic failures, and the horrifying way charm and badges can hide monsters. Then it hands you a protagonist who crawls out of hell, builds herself into a corporate tech powerhouse by day, vigilante nightmare by night, and says, “Cool story, justice system. I’ll handle it from here.”

The transformation is cathartic as hell. By the time she’s hunting down men like Matt, you’ll be cheering with every takedown.

Here’s What Could’ve Used a Reboot:
It sometimes dips into melodrama—but honestly, if anyone’s earned a little operatic vengeance, it’s this woman.

Vibe Check:
Furious, fearless, and a bit feral. This is the kind of story that makes you clutch your mug, whisper “good for her,” and side-eye every too-perfect authority figure for the rest of the week.

Perfect for Readers Who Love:
📖 Domestic thrillers that actually get dark (and then get even)
📖 Women rebuilding after trauma—then burning down the predators
📖 A main character who stops waiting for rescue and becomes the storm
📖 Vigilante justice that’s unapologetically personal

Just to start out with when I first opened the book I love how the first thing I saw was the abuse hotline information that meant so much to me.
Before I get started in my review if you are interested in reader or are sensitive to trigger warnings or some trigger warnings, please read all of them before you start reading because your mental health matters.
Now I read this book fairly quickly even though it is a rather big book I couldn't put it down. The FMC Scarlett was such a beautifully written character I was very impressed by that. Just being able to see how she grows and what she goes through and how she fights through it from start to end is absolutely breathtaking. This book did trigger a lot of emotions in me, a lot of ups and downs and it was nice. I love how the author in this book brings awareness to multiple different arrays of abuse, what to look for and how they will affect you. Having gone through this a lot this book really felt validating like you're being seen that what you went through wasn't something that people don't know about. I felt like the offer did a very tasteful job in this book. She was very thoughtful and how she went about explaining the trauma and the abuse and the character and how her story was really amazing. Overall this book exceeded my expectations I was very happy with it and can honestly say that the characters Scarlett in this book will be one that I remember for a long time to come
