A Sheriff’s Daughter. A Missing Girl. A Town Full of Guilt.

When rookie FBI agent Elle Price returns to her rural Midwestern hometown of Grayridge, Missouri, she’s carrying more than a badge; she’s carrying the ghosts of her past. Years ago, a girl vanished under mysterious circumstances connected to the controversial youth rehabilitation clinic her father once protected. Now, new evidence surfaces, linking the cold case to a string of disappearances across the South.

As Elle digs deeper, she uncovers a chilling pattern of institutional abuse, buried secrets, and complicit silence stretching back decades. Each answer brings her closer to the truth, and dangerously close to her own family’s legacy. But the deeper she goes, the more she realizes that some justice is personal, and some towns will do anything to keep their sins hidden.

With the help of a world-weary field partner and her estranged sister, a survivor of that very clinic, Elle must face the trauma she left behind, the people she trusted most, and the question that haunts

How many girls were taken while she looked the other way?

Cold Case County is a gripping crime thriller about buried truths, generational silence, and the strength it takes to finally break it. Perfect for fans of Tana French, Gillian Flynn, and Karin Slaughter, this novel delivers suspense with a conscience, and characters you’ll never forget

I liked it.

It was a good read. I liked the main protagonist, but sometimes, the story seemed to skip around a little bit. I still thought the story was worth reading overall.
