One minute I was living my life. The next? Kidnapped by fae and told my blood might end the world. No pressure.

Now I’m stuck in a magical flower kingdom with talking trees, suspicious royals, and once they let him in, a dangerously handsome vampire who’d burn the world for me. (Julian, obviously.)

The good news? I’m not alone. The bad? My newly activated power is terrifying, an evil queen wants to snatch me like a shiny prize, and my blood is basically a cursed VIP ticket to the apocalypse.

But hey, at least I have Azriel, a moody fae warrior who acts like my bodyguard but teases me like a brother. And my love Julian, the gorgeous vampire I've fallen for.

I might’ve found family.
I might’ve found myself.
Now I just have to survive long enough to keep them all safe.

Oh, man!!!!

The narrative weaves an intricate tapestry of suspense, drawing readers into a world where every plot twist challenges expectations and heightens anticipation. Our heroine, Ava emerges as a compelling figure, navigating a landscape rich with danger, magic, and transformative power. Her relationship with Julian adds a deeply emotional dimension to the story, creating a romantic thread that intertwine beautifully with the broader narrative.

The evolving dynamics between characters, including their family and friends, are masterfully portrayed, offering readers an immersive experience that feels both intimate and expansive. The author's storytelling invites readers to explore complex interpersonal relationships and emotional landscapes.

While the series demonstrates significant narrative strength across its first two installments, there are subtle areas for potential editorial refinement. Careful proofreading and consistency checks could further elevate the already engaging storytelling, ensuring a seamless reading experience that matches the narrative's compelling core.

After reading the first two books by Jade Christy, I have become a devoted fan of her writing style and storytelling. Her narrative has truly captivated my attention, and I find myself thoroughly enjoying the progression of her work. The storyline is compelling enough that I am eager to continue my reading journey by moving on to the third book in the series. I want to express my appreciation to the author for creating such an engaging literary experience that has successfully drawn me into her world of storytelling. The quality of her writing has impressed me so much that I am motivated to share my positive thoughts and recommend her work to other readers who might be looking for an immersive reading experience.

The second book in The Immortal’s Lie series and Ava is taken from her comfortable world of New Orleans into the Flower Fae Court. Ava finds out quickly that no one really wants her there either. Her cousin, Lysaria, thinks that she wants the crown and to rule over the Fae, while her aunt, Loria, wants to use her to settle a war between the vampires and Fae. Ava is not safe even in the protected realm of the Fae because evil lurks behind every corner and Black Widow, the vampire queen, will stop at nothing to get her too. Ava does have a plan to bring Julian to the Fae world, but in this thinking would it stop the war or create more of a mess? Ava knows every step she takes will put both worlds she cares about in peril and could cause destruction no matter what.

This book definitely was pretty exciting even though it wasn’t in the same realm and some things were a little hard to imagine, especially the food. Definitely not something for a diabetic. I couldn’t help thinking about that, yet it was still intriguing. Ava finds out that she has an interesting legacy and that she is related and tied to the Fae, but she can’t give up her love for Julian even with the hot Fae guys running around, even though there is just one we are reading about. Ava’s existence could also cause a war between the Fae and vampires, which I did want more about too. I did like how Ms. Jade Christy brought two worlds to work in tandem together. I think most books I have read are about vampires and Fae. They don’t get along, are a part of the Fae or are enemies of them. So, this was pretty interesting to read. I even liked Azriel and hoped he would find someone or maybe perhaps he had a secret attraction for Ava? Do I want to read more? Of course, I do. I look forward to the next book in the series!

In the second book of a four book series, Ava has been transported to the Flower Fae Court, where she meets her family and discovers an enchanted world filled with both wonder and peril. She finds herself wondering who might be friend or foe, all while trying to navigate the strange and beautiful place. She is given lessons in fighting, magic and language. And the scientists there work tirelessly to try to find a cure for her altered blood. All the while Julian is trying to find a way to get to his dear Ava. And when the two are reunited it is swoon-worthy. “Blood, Power & Lies” picks up where the first book left off. The first half is dedicated to Ava’s time in the fae world and her relationships with her aunt, cousin and protector. When she is finally reunited with Julian they find themselves making a new plan to try and defeat the evil vampire Malrec and his partners. The romance between Ava and Julian remains intense, and it’s easy to see why their friends rally around them. There is another cliffhanger, with the two lovers once again torn apart. And with me once again eagerly picking up the third book to find out what happens next. Recommended.

A+ Banter, Long Lost Family, & an Enchanted New World

This author creates the best banter, delivers perfectly timed wit, & weaves spells of comedic relief that always brings a breath of fresh air. I love that the snark & sarcasm never takes away from the storyline or plot. The sass always provides endearing character quirkiness. I loved the plot line, meeting new characters, & exploring the world of Faedom. The plot was exciting - constantly looking around corners, training with new magic for protection, & dressing up in pretty gowns with a pretty princess. The cousins were my new favorite characters of this novel - I found myself invested in the princesses love story, Azriel’s dead pan deliveries, & the bonds that form from long lost family finding each other again. It felt reminiscent of how close I am with my own cousins with all of our gossip & mischief ! Faedom enchanted me with its inventive food, curious flora, & made me feel like I was right there being sneezed on by magical flowers. Can’t wait for book 3!

NOw she has to return to New Orleans to find a plant that could undo what was done to her. Now that her enemies have got her, it is up to Julian to find her and get her back. The plot thickens in this episode. Ava learns some ways to defend herself. She become close with her family. The fae kingdom allows Julian to come to her after multiple attempts on her life. Ava believes his blood will help find the key to release her from the effect that happened at the Eclipse when she was a child. The scientists discover a flower in the swamps near New Orleans that may be the key. They are ambushed and Ava is captured. I can wait for the next book.

This story is very well written. I felt like I was right there in the middle of the story as one of the characters myself as I read. There are a lot of twists that kept me on edge. Also parts of the story had me giggling a lot. Rollercoaster of emotions are deeply felt throughout the story. Fae, Vampires, Witches lots of magic, suspense, reconnecting with family roots for Ava. I highly recommend this book. Very good series. Definitely a must read.

Book 1 sets the scene, book 2 really starts the adventure.
The story is more fleshed out. You get more involved with the characters, and they become a family to you.
That being said, this book has adventure, plotting and suspense in it. The book does end with you wanting to start the next story immediately (which I did).
Now more captivated with the series after this book.

Family Revelations

Kidnapped by the Fae, a whole new set of issues arise which made this interesting to read. I am really enjoying this series as new situations and revelations are made. Just as everything seems to be going well a new cliffhanger affects them all. I was on the edge of my seating wanting answers, but I am waiting for the next installment to read what happens next.

We now know the intention of the Fae Flower Court with Ava. The plot get thicker as more are after her blood. It is a pretty fast paced as Ava learns more of her fae side and to defend herself. Another cliffhanger ending but it keeps an entertaining pace. Looking forward to the next installment.

I loved this one even more than first. Ava’s sarcasm and the banter between characters were even better and more hilarious. I am in love with Azriel and wouldn't mind if this turns into a why choose.

My favorite quote is “To fairy tales, then. And the very real women who walk out of them and set the world ablaze.”

This ended with a cliffhanger, so I'm off to read the next book in this series!

This book kept me hooked from start to finish, making me feel like I was standing right there watching the story unfold while rooting them on.

Too mellow.
I like the plot. I love the characters. The end of this book was too easy to anticipate. I will start the next book, but I’m not confident that I’ll finish the series. I need to be more engaged. I also need the pace to feel less like floating through a dream.
