I really liked this book until we got to the back third. It dropped a star only because things felt rushed as the novel closed out. Things I liked:
- plenty of steamy scenes, and good variety and creativity
- a delightful, positive approach and worldview baked into the story
Things I wasn’t a huge fan of:
- timeline of the final few chapters, just how much time elapsed between the final ritual and the wedding?
- breakdown of the litrpg format. I might have missed it, but I don’t recall a game power reference in the final quarter of the book
- pregnancy and child rearing off stage. I’m not looking for that scene from the Forty Year Old Virgin where a delivery is seen in excruciating detail, but it felt like the “fertile” aspect of the valley was handled in two or three lines of text.
To be clear, I like this series, and I’m heading on to volume 4 now. However, the impression the final third of the novel left me was that it was rushed. All in all, a lot happens in this volume that feels like it might have been better served over a couple of volumes.
Still giving it 4 stars and diving into the next one.

I've been enjoying the story, even though it's become a bit formulaic (at times). That is, " Boy meets Girl; Girl is evil/nasty/wrong. Boy fights Girl, defeats her. Boy forgives Girl, screws the daylights out of her and impregnates Girl (Girl is always thrilled). Boy adds Girl to his harem." Happily, there is usually a lot of variety added around the routine, keeping it from becoming boring.
The authors do have a sense of humor and don't mind making some quirky characters (horny fairies, etc.). I also salute their inventiveness!
Some devoutly religious folks may object to the spirits (the Harvest Goddess, for example) and to some actions (such as the Summer Solstice celebration orgy. To them I say this: This is FANTASY.

It's really good.
Come for the smut stay for the story. I know yall will hear that a lot in these reviews, but it's true. The complex relationships founded in the first two books have settled into a more comfortable family relationship in the third.

Good continuation while setting up even more
This book is yet another chapter in fertile valley and has all that hot plot development and future setup you could want. Some threads are tied up nicely, some are added, and some get a little more tease to keep you coming back.
