MEAGAN:
I see him for what he is now - the worst kind of guy imaginable. As if being a biker weren't enough, he's in with racists too?

What a damn fool I was letting him in so deep. Why? Just cause he was hot.

And cause he treated me well.

And cause he whispered sweet things to me.

Cause we were winding together, closer and faster than with any other guy I've ever been with before.

He doesn't deserve to be in my life. I know that.

So why can't I let him go…

VAUGHN:
The truth had to come out sometime. What we had could never last. I had my fun, tried what I should have never had. Now, I'm free again.

But I don't want freedom. I want her.

I can fix this. She's not too far gone to see there's more than just fireworks between us. Winning her will cost me though. The Soldiers will never let us be. There will come a day of reckoning.

It's more than that. I can't be who I was and who she makes me want to be.

But I’m damn well gonna try.

Grey features sizzling romance, steamy sexual situations and some racial language. Mature and open-minded audiences only. This book is not meant to be read as a standalone and is a bestseller, Black and White . Book 3 in the series, Clear, is now out.

I hate that, like the first book, it ends really abruptly and you're left waiting for an indeterminate amount of time for the next one. That being said, I am really loving this story. Meagan and Vaughn work through their not so simple issues and begin to develop a real relationship that's not just about screwing each other's brains out. They share, they're open and honest with each other, and Meg even manages to convince her brother that Vaughn isn't so bad. But, of course, Vaughn can't do the same. He's doing his best to keep the two facets of his life as far separate as possible. His "family" members are noticing a change in him and he's noticing a change in himself. It's only a matter of time before the two worlds really collide and I can't wait to see how it plays out and how they will deal with it.

grrrrr

Another cliffhanger but brilliant all the same! How do two people from opposite ends, opposite beliefs, just opposites come together and get over it when they are drawn to each other ?

👌!

The storyline was okay, the two main characters trying to figure a way to be together through the life he chose.

This is not a stand alone! You must read Black and White first to get the full gist of the story.

This installment picks up with Magazine confronting Vaughn about his bigotry and prejudices against black people. His justification is his mother was murdered by a black man so he was taught that all black people were evil and whites should be proud of their heritage. I thought for certain this would seal his fate with Meagan but of course not!

There are some struggles from both Meagan and Vaughn to process and come to terms with the fallout of this revelation. Vaughn is slowly starting to realize that his way of thinking and way of life may not be the right thing but it's the only thing that he knows and unlearning problematic behavior won't happen overnight.

The story does end rather abruptly and their are a few grammatical errors. I look forward to part 3 when we see how the confrontation between Vaughn and Rico (Meagan's abusive ex) unfolds.

This and the last book could've been one... just saying...
I liked it didn't love it like the previous one..
It played it's part as the middle book...
Still steamy.. still love the characters... still want a little bit more from them..

Vaughn begins to open up more in this book... he questions all he has ever known.. but never doubts his feelings for Meagan... Meagan wants Vaughn and that's it.. she knows what she wants and she puts it more out there for him and leaves it for him to figure out.. they flip from being f buddies to learning about each other..

I hate cliffs... PERIOD

COME ON PAIGE!!!!

Okay I love Meagan and Vaughn...enough said. My gripe ( not really) is with the author. Ms. Notaro, you're killin' me with the cliff hangers! Your books are well written and slightly suspenseful. I would really love it if the the next book you write is not a whole book chopped up in order to get your fans to stay tuned. I promise ,if you write another novel as good as this one...One that's not a series, but just a stand alone novel I will be the first to purchase it! Keep up the good work.

Eye Opener

This is definitely something different and quite frankly refreshing. This is such a different take on this kind of relationship. This is a first where they are both ordinary people trying to find a way to just be and not fit a mold. The writer should be given a hand because this story has the potential to be so over the top or dark that you cringe.Well done, time worthy.

Ugh cliffhanger

Never heard of this author before, but I hate book with cliffhangers. I don't understand why authors write books with cliffhangers. Avid readers won't remember what happened in the previous books when the next installment is released. It's selfish and waste money and time on the reader's part. The first 2 books are good but I won't be finishing the series. 2 stars because of the cliffhanger.

Really good book with thought provoking topics and the chemistry between Vaughn and Meghan were steamy. You saw who they were individually whilst trying to make things work. The one major downfall is that the book could’ve been longer as I’m not one for cliff hangers but hopefully the next book is just as good.

Thought provoking

This book makes you see others in a different light. Much like the title , life isn't black and white but a million shades of grey.

The second one was definitely a tad lighter then the first and even though it took more forgiveness then I would probably have for Megan to allow Vaughn back into her life after she finds out his affiliation we definitely see Vaughn's growth from realizing how much he di any really agree with what he's always been apart of. Their relationship takes on a softer sweeter aspect of itself in the second book and it leaves you ready for the next one for sure.

Book 2: A white supremist biker and a black college student/waitress who meet and develop an extreme attraction to each other, despite the color of their skin and his racist club's beliefs.
Each one has a story to tell about why they are who they are...and together they try to make a change...him with his attitude about all races that aren't his own and she, convincing herself (and her brother) that he is not a "monster".
I liked the relationship these two had and although at times it was a bit predictable and preachy, it was different and had a good message.
It was not so much an MC book as much as it was a book about race and the messed up mind set of these radical groups...and of course a love story between two people from opposite worlds.
An abusive EX boyfriend, various meddling friends, some unforgiving "brothers" and a tragic loss of family all make up the rest of this book.
Different and hopeful, although this type of story has been done before. Some editing and spelling errors that made me have to re-read to figure out who was talking, but otherwise a pretty good story.

**** 3.5 **** "black and white make a beautiful world" star

Vaughn and Meagan's story continues as he struggles with what he has been taught all his life and what he believes and feels for Meagan. I was all set to abandon this book after Meagan contacts Vaughn and they meet for the first time after Black and White's cliffhanger, but the author expertly shows where each character is coming from in a way that had me captivated. I could not put this book down. Again, the chemistry between Vaughn and Meagan was scorching hot. Fantastic read.

4.25 stars. The saga continues.

Great continuance, Meagan and Vaughn have made up and are trying to move forward. Oh but there must be conflict, so Meagan meets with her abusive ex and Vaughn has to save her from being physically assaulted. I did not understand her reaction, was it the racist epithet Vaughn made or was it seeing Vaughn hit him-what caused her seemingly negative reaction to Vaughn? I love Meagan and Vaughn as a couple and look forward to the next installment of this series to see them work out their problems with his family and friends and her issues .

Oh Vaughn.... what have you done?
He hasn't done anything that should be a surprise to the heroine... So he said a racial slur in a moment of anger. How can you be surprised? He is a skin head after all. He's trying to change. Either give him time to change or expect some disappointments along the way.... I'm so aggravated with the heroine.

Other than that, this is a good book. shouldn't be read alone because it is the continuation of a cliff hanger. To add insult to injury, this book ends with a cliff hanger.... blah.

Second as good as first

This novella keeps it real when dealing with Vaughn and Maegan affair. In some ways I understand Maegan, Vaughn can lay the pipe and she never thought of them as more than f__buddies. On the other hand, dude is a supremacist. He can't really take her out, definitely can't introduce her to his family and friends. I don't know if I would be that much into the pipe...lol. Maegan also sees the private side of Vaughn. She is the only person to see that side of him. I am rating it five stars because the author keeps it real. This is a wonderful book.

A very interesting look into the lifestyle of a man with racist beliefs and how his romance with a woman of color changes him. This doesn't pull any punches it's raw, real, and shows the ugliness. I really appreciated that. Vaughn's world is turned upside down when his beliefs are challenged, and his happiness rests with the one person his family would hate most.

MEagan is taken by surprise when she discovers the man she's been developing feelings for is a racist. Despite the impossible situation , the two can't stay away from one another, and the learning process begins for both.

Interesting read

I really liked this story as well as Black and White. It was over for Vaughn as soon as he met Meagan in the bar. Knowledge causes change and I think that Vaughn realizes that his beliefs are not true. Such conflict in his mind! This was a good read but both novels should have been one book.

Just as good as the first!!!!

Okay so the day is not even over and I just completed the second book. Yes, I read fast but this book was entirely to difficult to put down. I guess I won't be getting much done today!!!! You have got to read the first novel ,"Black and White" expect it to only get better with this one.

Was expecting a little more

I was expecting a little more excitement and drama. The ending was a little off. She knew what he was and even she didn't expect him to change over nite Well I hope the 3rd installment sizzle's. I'm still a fan!!!

If you like cliff hangers then buy

Read two novels by this author and both ended in cliff hangers. This is one book that's been chopped up to make you buy another one. I am out.

Surprisingly good

I like both Vaughn and Meagan. They work well together. Watching his personal struggle over his lifestyle and belief system is interesting and humanizing.

Did not move the story along

Everyone is so stereotypical it could be funny. Tried giving this a chance but just too cartoonist for me. Will be deleting the rest unread.
