The author's heads-up "...SUPER Fastburn... so Lightning-Burn I guess?" was spot on.

This was a sweet and steamy mm omegaverse novella.

Loved the body positivity. Both MCs weren't all abs and lean muscles, Jaxon had a slight belly ("perfect to cuddle with") and Mila described himself as pudgy.

For some reason, my Omega needs to please this Alpha. Correction, I know what the reason is but I can’t very well date my ex’s dad or the owner of our company. He’s twenty years older than me! And does he even like men?

This is fun for a wildly unrealistic plot, super strong Alpha and Omega roles, and office sex shenanigans. If you aren't a fan of need-to-fuck-insta-mates, and weepy shy omegas, this may not work for you.

Entertaining porny snack for me!

Lots of lap-sitting, hand-feeding, scenting, neck-snuggling, and under the desk BJ!

My only complaint is something happens near the end of the book that came out of left field, or it seemed like a piece of information was left out or missing. Suddenly the MC's assistant has strong feelings and interfering motive that wasn't implied throughout the book, at all.

Otherwise, fun PWP. Oh, and surprisingly good body positivity. Short, chubby omega and a tall alpha with a belly, and soft enough for comfy snuggling.

This is listed as a very quick burn. But it's not until 36% that anything even happens. This is a novella, so it goes quick, but keep that in mind. Once Mila becomes Jaxon's assistant, things do take off quickly. Just dont go in expecting this "fast burn" to mean they start porking in the first chapter. Also ends abruptly.

Fast burn, straight to the point, no BS. Absolutely LOVED Mila and Jaxon. After the death of his wife, Jax has lost the ability to taste and needs Mila to help him. Together they give in to the calling of their natures and embark on a relationship that is taboo and wildly unprofessional, yet so delicious. Not only does Jaxon get to rekindle his love for food, but he also get’s to learn what it’s like to be with an Omega, and the challenges that comes with that. Throw in the fact that Jaxon’s step-son is a jerk yet honestly believes he’s owed Mila and you get a complicated relationship that burns fiercely. My only complaint with this book is that it wasn’t longer.

A delicious fast burn OV MM romance, between boss and employee, with age gap, and ex drama. I loved how Mila fell into the caregiver role and lapped up all the attention and love, and how it gave Jax all the missing pieces he needed.
This is a sweet mate bond between alpha and omega that happens unexpectedly at their workplace, but the insta lust/love is perfection. It's a quick read at around 100 pages with tender moments, connection and spice. Looking forward to more of this series.

it’s ok

I’ve followed N. Slater for awhile now and love their books but this book felt super rushed. It all spans in less than a week. I just felt like we never got to really dive into both characters and see their traits. I wanted more from Mila and seeing his character. I felt as if Jaxon could’ve had an epiphany with his love for his wife and his love for his mate.

I didn’t love it… The only reason that I gave it more is because it was really hot! It just felt rushed. I didn’t love the characters. I didn’t like a lot of things about it. I’m sorry however with that being said, the spicy scenes were right on, and there was a lot of of them which I absolutely loved.

This was a short and spicy Omegaverse story. Mila ends up being an assistant to his exs 's dad. Once they meet and smell each other, they know they're fated mates. This was such a good little story and I wished it was longer 🔥🔥🔥.
