A past full of secrets. A love that should never exist.Odette
I was nothing more than a thief when he found me. He took me in, convinced his brother I was something worth saving. But ultimately it was he who became my protector. My shadow. My savior.
But now that my past is threatening to unearth everything I've tried so hard to hide, he is all I can think about as it all comes crashing down.
My Obsession. My Uncle. George.
George
My brother saved her because I asked him to, he gave her our last name, but I gave her everything else.
She was never truly mine, but I raised her like she was.
But now I see the woman she’s become. Wild, beautiful and burning through every thought I shouldn’t have. Beneath the professional exterior, I’m nothing more than a monster and I’m about to cross the one line I swore I never would.
I was excited to get my hands on this book. This is the second book in The Deadly Sins series and after the first one, I was itching to get the next story. I'm thrilled to report that this book had just as much suspense, action, and steam. I seriously love the world and characters the authors have created. I was easily pulled into this exciting dark taboo age-gap romance.
Odette is the next adopted Sinclair sibling the story revolves around. She is part of the seven they refer to as the Deadly Sins. She's a ruthless lawyer and has been learning the ropes of the family law firm to take over someday. She's very secretive and those secrets from her past catch up to come after her.
George is her step-uncle for all intents and purposes. (*gasp*) He's taught her everything she knows and has mentored her to take over the family law firm. He is also keeping secrets and these secrets are coming out one way or another. He's not going to let anything or anyone get to her. He is the perfect combo of possessive/obsessive we all love.
They have both been obsessed with each other. He started to have romantic feelings for her after she turned 18. They have both been fighting their attraction but that moment when they both snap and give in to this forbidden love they know they could never go back and give each other up. It's twisted and so delicious. They are both morally-grey and pure fire together.
Gimmie, gimmie the next Deadly Sins sibling story please, need book 3 asap!
Greed is a dark romance with some taboo themes so definitely check your triggers before venturing in.
Odette has been adopted into the Sinclair family and is now a successful lawyer. But she harbours deep dark secrets, and not just the things she does for her adopted family.
George is supposed to be Odette's adopted uncle. But the feelings her harbours for her aren't at all familial. That's hardly the worst secret he's hiding.
It was an easy, entertaining read. The female lead could have been fleshed out a little more but over all she has pretty good dimension and I could see what the authors were getting at with her character. I always enjoy the idea of taming the monster inside with the right person. A few things could have been smoothed out, like what happened with George's job during his absence and the case with the people he killed being wrapped up. These types of plot holes left the ending feeling a little rushed and unsatisfactory. I think the book holds potential but doesn't quite get there.

George only saw her as his adoptive neice but thatvall changed when she turned 18 and his obsession grew. Odette is greedy and greed is her sin. But greed is also her secret and her sin could be what hurts her family. George and Odette are keeping secrets and they are trying to pry from each other all while fighting their forbidden attraction. As the attraction becomes to much to fight their secrets are also spilling but Odette's starts to spill now that they have her family fully involved. But have her secrets spilled a bit too late? The clock is ticking and only time will tell.

The second in The Deadly Sins Series, Greed, follows George’s obsession with one of the seven, Odette. This book held me so hard in its clutches, I couldn’t sleep until I was finished! The forbidden, not blood related, taboo feelings these two try to squash down before finally letting them take hold. Only, secrets from both of their pasts are going to be the true test. And the interestingly dark use of his pets, Malum and Purus, perfect! Cannot wait to read Niamh’s story next.

In all that is holy 😱 where do I start?! Dark, age-gap, taboo, suspense, secrets, deep plot and high smut! This was an amazing second book in the Deadly Sins series! Odette and George are fire! From the moment of ‘trust’ in that initial first chapter! The family dynamic is SOO GOOD! The Sinclair family are so fierce and a force like no other! But let me just go back to that smut a second.. because WOW! 🥵❤️🔥 I refuse to spoil it so I think you should go read Pride then read Greed because you won’t be disappointed! 🖤🖤🖤
George could never have known that asking his brother to take in a little theif in Odette would lead to an obsession, a desire to protect and have, but now shes more of a temptation than ever and when her past comes for her he won't let anyone take her away. Well written engaging steamy taboo desires and more
This book is such a page turner that pulled me out of a reading slump. I was extremely lucky to read this book early and I loved it. The tension between the characters is incredible and I just loved every bit.
The way that George is so obsessed with Odette is just *chefs kiss*
