Wow! I had to recuperate after reading this before I could write a review! I'm basically speechless. I was thinking this was maybe a little slow and I was kind of having a hard time getting into it, but, I realized I was mistaken. Gabriela is a new resident in Juniper Springs. She tries to escape her unhappy past in Colorado after losing her mother, only to find herself in a new town with a all new problem. one that she can't seem to escape from. This series really has it all, a crime followed by solving it and a new romance as well as recurring characters. This time it's Gabriela and a regular customer in the bank where she is a teller. unfortunately, she witnesses a robbery that turns into a whole lot more than the Juniper Springs robbery. Rivers has a talent for linking cases and characters from other books, and despite the book ending, the story never starts or ends there. I love the well written characters and scenes. Even though I often say I am looking forward to the next story, I truly am with this book. it ends with a jaw-dropping cliffhanger and I need more of this story!
