Nathan Grier returns from the Veil a changed man.

The consequences of Nathan’s time with the dark sidhe king Malak, and the deal made to free him, may be more than he can bear. Yet new enemies and the weakening of the Veil between worlds foretell of a greater battle still ahead.

With Nathan’s brother Jim a now Awakened changeling, and their roles in Malak’s plans finally revealed, Nathan’s love for fae hunter and incubus Sasha Kelly may not be enough to save him—or any of them—from the fate that lies ahead.

Review:
What an amazing ending to an amazing series!

The thing about these books is, I didn’t read them for the action or the mystery or even the plot (though I did enjoy those things, don’t get me wrong). I read them for the characters, the emotion, and the depth. And they never disappointed, especially this third book. The author has this way of describing things, of showing-not-telling, of making you feel, of imbuing such depth into everything that I often found myself tearing up, frowning, smiling from ear to ear, reacting in all these different involuntary ways to what seemed like the smallest and most insignificant of moments because she made sure to give them significance and write in a way that portrayed that significance. And it didn’t stop with Nathan—I was feeling things for all the characters, even side characters that weren’t introduced until the last book. And she found a way to expertly weave all these other characters’ emotions into a series that was told almost entirely from Nathan’s third person POV without it seeming out of place or coincidental or forced.

Overall, this was the kind of series that, despite all the hardships and pain the characters went through, made me feel good and warm and sappy. So if you like feeling good and warm and sappy, I think you’ll love it, too!

*I’ve read this book multiple times. This review was written after my 1st read.*

2nd Read Update:
Five years later, and my first review still holds. I had forgotten just how much these books affected me. For days after I finished, I was still just kind of… constantly thinking about these books and feeling things.

Also, the more this book (and series) went on, the more Nathan grew and changed, and the more I came to love him, including his imperfections and insecurities. He was scared and struggled to have the same faith in himself that others did, but he was such a good person.

The plot was a little slower in this one, a little more meander-y at times, but it was necessary for the story. And there was still plenty happening, what with everything the series had been building up to.

I’m not quite sure how other people define HFN and HEA, but I would say this might be a HFN to some, since there was no epilogue about the future, with an implied HEA. To me it’s an HEA because there’s no way a relationship this beautiful wouldn’t last forever.

So to summarize... I loved all the characters. And the relationships. And the story. And the emotion. Just like the others, this one made me want to cry---not because I was sad, but because I just felt so much for the characters, or because there was so much good and hope and happiness for them after all the bad they'd been through, or because they always had each other, even during the bad.

*Sigh* I just love this series.

This is book three in the series and the conclusion to an amazing urban fantasy tale. You really can’t read this without having read the first two books in the trilogy. Events and scenes from the previous two books were referenced in this book, so you will be lost without having read them. With all three books available now, it makes sense to read through the entire trilogy back to back. And I highly recommend you read them. You won’t be disappointed!

Gearing up for the ultimate battle between light and dark, Nathan must take the helm. His destiny lies in leading the light in war between good and evil.. Sound familiar? Yep, this book reminded me of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows in that sense. There is a battle, there is lots of spells and curses thrown about. There is a lot of deception, trickery and let’s not forget, deal making. That what got Nathan in this mess to begin with.

But this story is definitely not for kids. Besides the romance between Nathan and Sasha, both male, this story had darker elements and more gore, but as always good (or light) prevails.

I really liked the scene with the Almighty Dave, and his diner, when Nathan meets him for the first time. Being that Nathan was the only one, you just knew that all wasn’t what it seemed. But that seems to happen a lot throughout the story. Because of Nathan’s struggle to separate what he experienced in the Veil and what is real, there are moments when you just have to wonder what the truth really is.

This story kept me on the edge of my seat. There was always a new discovery or plot twist just waiting in the story to throw a monkey wrench into everything and make me rethink all the ideas I just had on where the story was going.

There is a moment during the story that Nathan takes another form and the descriptions as he learns to navigate as this other form are amazing. And the interactions between Nathan and Sasha when Sasha is feeding off their sex are so potent. Their love really shines in this book, more so than in the previous ones I think. Nathan’s relationship with both Sasha and Jim are powerful and it comes through clearly.

If you enjoy the magical, the paranormal, fae, and epic battles you will love this series and this book. It brought closure to the story. It was a culmination of everything that has been building since book one when Nathan set out to save his brother from turning evil and met the love of his life in the form of an incubus.

I definitely recommend this book.

It all comes down to this third and final installment in the Incubus Saga as the battle between light and dark, good and evil, comes to a head. After the emotional events that befell our trio of unlikely heroes at the end of the previous installment there's a feeling of negativity and loss as this story opens. The heroes are at their lowest point despite Nathan's return. It's a return though rife with inner fears and palpable paranoia that will lead to yet another fight for his life as he battles the pain and lies from his time behind the veil with the reality and expectations of being back home. He's not alone in his battle as his incubus lover and his brother are by his side every step of the way giving him their love and support but also acted as his weakness as the end creeps ever closer.

Though this story started off a bit slow secrets were soon revealed that changed things dramatically. Nathan may have started off a broken man but quickly realized, along with his brother, their individual roles in keeping the world safe. Their brotherly love and bond might have gotten bruised while he was gone but they reunited stronger than ever with Sasha being his usual supportive and sexy self. Ms. Meuwissen imbued this story with deep emotional angst, a bit of sensual m/m lovin', and a compelling mythology. There's edge of your seat action scenes and an equally compelling and colorful cast of characters, both heroic and villainous, that keep you glued to the action. Both old friends and new leave you rooting for good to win but fearful with unexpected twists and turns. It all adds up to an exhilarating thrill ride with heart and soul and a delightful addition to the urban fantasy genre that ends up being so much more!

Amanda Meuwissen displays her effortless talent for weaving fiction with the third and final installment of the Incubus series, Sidhe. Amanda continues the harrowing journey of Nathan after he returns from Hell. Still haunted by Malak’s treachery and the tortures behind the Veil, Nathan gathers those of the Light around him to prepare for a final battle between Good and Evil. But can he overcome his own inner demons in time to save the world and those he loves?

Amanda Meuwissen gives readers a masterful tale balanced perfectly between love, humor, despair, action, and suspense. She gives us characters whom we love and characters we love to hate. Everything from the story’s dialogue, atmosphere, character development, and overall plot becomes a glorious masterpiece of literary fiction. I was hooked from page one of the first book and have enjoyed every moment right up until the satisfying conclusion. This is an author whose work defines the genre at it’s very best and I look forward to many more works from her in the future (hopefully with a little fan-service for our favorite couple, Nathan and Sasha)!!

A year ago, I read Changeling, and I’ve been hanging on the cliff ever since. The author has done such a wonderful job building this world and making me care for the characters that waiting to find out Nathan’s fate was a hard task. The lead up to the end of that book was so intense, and Nathan actually losing through a technicality and getting taken through the Veil was heart wrenching. This book picks up immediately after the end of the last one, and all three book definitely need to be read in order. This is a saga of epic proportions, reading like one tale split into three parts.

What I really loved about this book was the consistency of the characters, even as they grew and changed. Nathan, in particular, showed the most inner growth. In the beginning, he was all about protecting Jim at all costs. He was self-sacrificing to a fault. And he still is, to some degree. But though he has his moments where his confidence wavers, he’s grown into a strong, confident man. Now that Jim has fully come into his powers, and as long as he has Sasha by his side, he can do what needs to be done to save the world. I’ve loved Nathan from the very beginning, and I was completely and totally invested in him. Nathan went through a lot, and my heart just broke for him at times, but he’s solid and strong underneath and he’s got two of the best guys in the world at his side and fighting with him and for him. The dynamics between the three men has always been one of the things I loved about this series, and it’s shown wonderfully here.

"Sidhe" is a sweet book, a loving romance in which one of the main lessons is: "you can be a good person, even if you're not exceptional; and yes, you deserve love".

I think "Sidhe" will probably be a fun read for those who enjoyed "Incubus" for the romantic bits and who were looking for standard adventuring in their fluff. While the series has never been light, it hasn't ever been truly dark - despite some dark themes in there. (I have a bone to pick with the whole genre of romance because it often simplifies things which are delicate in real life and more delicately treated in other genres. For example, trauma. Does this make "Sidhe" a bad book? No, not unless you have one of my pet peeves.)

If one were to focus on what it intends to be (romance, with a large scoop of adventure), it contains:
- lots of hot scenes
- fluff
- hurt/comfort (which is something I dislike, but hey, it's well done)
- a final, apocalyptic battle
- a nice God
- an overall good vision of the world

And those are a lot of good bits, especially since it provides a neat ending for the series.

Personally, I felt that it was somewhat drawn out and I wasn't utterly convinced by the main character's performance when he was trying to unite people and get allies, nor by one of the "superpowers" manifested at the end (you'll get which, I suppose).

But while this wasn't the book for me, it was undeniably a nice book. If you loved the first two in the series, you'll probably like this one, too.

Book Review originally published here: http://www.iheartreading.net/book-tou...

After reading and reviewing Changeling, the second book in the Incubus Saga, I knew I had to read the third book. I’m glad to say “Sidhe”, the third installment, definitely didn’t dissapoint.

After his experiences in the Veil, Nathan Grier is a changed man. The consequences of Malak’s betrayal weigh heavy on him, and now he must reunite the forces of Light in a final battle of Good vs. Evil.

Nathan showed such immense strength in this book, such love and caring for others, that I had to root for him. More than just an action-filled, suspenseful paranormal read, this series is an emotional one – the characters are so awesome that as a reader, you start to feel their weakness and strength, and every time they’re down, you feel down, and the other way around. Nathan has a lot of struggles ahead of him in this final installment, so it was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster for me.

Jim, Nathan’s brother is back too. He’s now an Awakend changeling, and he too has grown and matured from the previous book. Sasha is back too, of course. The dynamics between the three of them were fun, especially between Nathan and Sasha.

From the moment I started reading, I remained on the edge of my seat until the end. This is an excellent story, and a sublime conclusion to a series.

Amanda.... I love you.... the memories, emotions, and utter joy you gave me simply by being an amazing writer are priceless. I doubt I will ever find another book series that trumps my love for The Incubus Saga. This book was by far my favorite one on the journey.

Sidhe was loaded with action, feels, story building, and just UGHHH im so depressed that its over now lol. My picturesque idea of how Nathan and Sasha would be flying together by the end of the story did not happen but you definitely brightened the idea by how they ended up anyways :). Every word in this book had a meaning and every meaning had its closure.

Very good book, Very good series, and please do not stop writing! You are very good at what you do.

I was not blown away by the conclusion of this series. It took me forever to read this book (or so it seemed - 5 days is a long time for me to read a book) I found my attention constantly being grabbed by something other than this story. Minor editing errors, but there were quite a few of them - things like missing words, apostrophe s being used in place of plurals or plurals being used instead of apostrophe s for possessives; misspellings; strange word choices - things that threw me out of the story.

With all the struggles and the trauma this brotherhood is fighting hard to balanced perfectly between love, humor, despair, action, and suspense. You just have to root for Nathan. Love the action of this paranormal read. Talk about feeling their weakness and strength, what an emotional rollercoaster. This was an edge of my seat book.

This book was an interesting take on the supernatural world and the war between good and evil. It took fae, the devil, and God and shook it all up and stood it on its head. The story is a good mix of fantasy, romance, and adventure.

I would recommend reading all three books in order, but you can follow the story even if you only read Sidhe.

I give this story 4 out of 5 clouds.

I'm not going to do a detailed review because I know it'll just be one big spoiler but I will happily say I liked book one, Really liked book 2 but fell in love with everything and everyone by book 3. Within the next few weeks I'll probably do a reread for everything I missed and at that time maybe I'll come back and do a full review.

I swooned so much for my sweet babies 😭💞... pure hurt, comfort, chaos, and passion all in one.

🥹 Nathan’s journey hit me so hard. Watching him face his trauma, find redemption, and start trusting again, in himself, in Jim, and in Sasha’s forever love... was intense and heartwarming.

💔🪦 There were moments that truly broke me, but also so many that healed me.
Sasha’s devotion, their unshakable bond, the faith they find in each other... absolutely beautiful.

🧝‍♀️ The fae world expands in breathtaking ways, with angels, demons, and ancient powers colliding, leading to an epic conclusion that feels both powerful and deeply emotional.

✨ It’s the perfect finale to a trilogy that’s been about love, sacrifice, and the strength of found family.
I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful goodbye. 😭❤️‍🔥

A good read, a good series. Please invest in a decent editing device such as Grammarly. I was frequently pulled out of the story by missing words (I remember distinctly having to read a certain phrase three times before I was able to make sense out of it), possessive instead of plural words (or vice versa), etc. But for that, I would have added another star.

One of my FAVORITE book series of the YEAR! OMG OMG OMFG! This review is for all three books but I will not give out spoilers, don't worry!

Okay so, first of all , where my supernatural fans at? Can I just say, this pays some really great homage to that wonderful show. I'm not saying that there were things sprinkled in there that could possibly be supernatural references because I am not the author and can't say those things, but.... (I am totally saying that If there were then I totally caught them and they were fantastic! Sneaky Amanda Meuwissen, you). So yeah, anyway.. This was totally reminiscent of the supernatural world only with Fey instead of demons. The brotherly love and sacrifice struggle was still there though, and so real.

Alright, lets talk about Nathan, or as I like to call him, "you fantastic, naive, poor, (dean-like but younger and in love), awesome, conceited, funny, closeted for a bit, hottie, you". He gave me these mixed emotions all the time. I mean, half the time I loved him, the other half I wanted to punch him in the face, but then at the same time I wanted him to have more really hot sexy moments with a certain someone.. *cough cough* Anyways, Nathan's character did a lot of things to me. In fact, I have comprised a list.
List of some of the things Nathan did to me:
-made me laugh
-made me cry
-made me frustrated so I had no choice but to yell at my roommate about it
-made me enroll my girlfriend into reading it because I had these FEELINGS and I didn't know how to HANDLE them
-forced me to get yelled at by my girlfriend about how frustrated and in love she was and how she had these FEELINGS and now we BOTH had to deal with them...
So yeah, Nathan was a really great and I will love his stupid ass forever.

Moving on, Sasha. Oh. My. Goodness. Sasha. As much as I love Nathan, Sasha was THE BEST! Omg he really had to be in order to deal with Nathan and his crazy baggage. He was so entirely lovable and endearing and patient and not AT ALL what I expected his character to be! I mean, in my experience, usually when the main character has to go get help from a bounty hunter, said bounty hunter usually fits a certain strong, tough, stereotype. Not that I have a problem with said stereotypical bounty hunter, but I am SO happy that Sasha did not fit this bill at all! Once you know his backstory it all makes sense but my goodness he is the most precious while simultaneous bad ass person ever!

Now for Jim, I loved him. He was such a great brother. He goes through so much throughout the series I don't even know what to say and I don't want to give any spoiler's so I won't say much, but he was awesome!

Now for the world building and plot. The world building was fantastic! They sprinkled in the information throughout so it didn't seem like too much at one time and they still left a bit of mystery that you uncover throughout the books. The plot was original and unique. Even though this book reminded me of supernatural a bit and it seems like it would follow a certain story line based on the synopsis, it really was unpredictable and not at all what I expected. I really thought I knew what was going to happen at certain points, but then Amanda would catch me off guard and go the other way. It made for an exciting read that kept me (and my girlfriend) on the edge of my seat. It was truly a roller coaster, but a really fun one! There were ups and downs and twists and hot sexy times (incubus, hello) and it was all around amazing!

So, if you want my humble opinion, yeah, it was pretty much epically awesome. I really did not want this book to end.. and it was 3 books! GO READ IT AND HELP ME (and my girlfriend) WITH ALL MY FEELINGS!

Loved the ending to this trilogy. I feel like Amanda wrapped it up well. You can't read this without having read the first two in the series.

Incase you haven't caught on yet. This is a M/M romance. So don't keep reading it that isn't your thing.

With the heart wrenching ending of book two. This novel was much anticipated. I wanted to know what was going to happen with Nathan and I wants all the secrets to come out.

Amanda has a way with her writing that draws you right in. She is adept in her details about surroundings and emotions and it really allows you to fully submerge yourself in the novel.

The action in this book was also fantastic. I wanted the battle. I wanted everything to come to a head and watch it as it all unfolded piece by piece.  I wasn't sure where it was going and that always makes for an exhilarating read.

Loved it. If you are an urban mythology fan and don't mind a little M/M, they you will definitely enjoy his!

This is an absolutely wonderful ending to the trilogy. I loved every word and purposely tried to stretch things so that I wouldn't finish it too fast. I love this trilogy and this is a great conclusion to it. I know I just said that, but it is SO true. Everything gets wrapped up as well as you could expect it to, there are definitely some twists and turns I did not see coming. There are also some religious elements I wasn't really expecting to show up but they made sense for the story and didn't feel like too much at all. The characters and relationships are interesting and complex, and the final battle definitely surprised me in several ways. There are some questions I've still got about some of the characters, though, nothing that affects the overall story but just those individual characters. I love the feeling of hope and life-goes-on at the end of the trilogy and I feel like that could easily lend itself to more if the author ever felt like adding another book in this universe. I'd love to see a book centered on Leven and/or Adrian, for example, or to find out more about Walter from before he died and became a Spirit Guide. In fact, I'd like to know more about the Spirit Guides of other characters. Does Jim's Spirit Guide ever roll their eyes at their "Jesse James, bang bang" ritual Nathan and Jim have? Can Spirit Guides communicate with each other, see each other? If so, do Walter and Jim's Spirit Guides ever look at each other with fond exasperation over their charges? And I certainly want to know more about Oberon and Ula and how things go with them. It felt finished, everything fitting together like puzzle pieces, but I love that it still feels like there could be more, one day, maybe. Even if there isn't, this is a great trilogy just the way it is and I'm so glad that it exists.

Nathan & Sasha

In the review I made for Changeling, I mentioned that there was so much 'story' to this story. That's even more true for this book and not just because it's long. There is so much that goes into the complexity of the problems this group shares and has to go through and I'm constantly amazed at the crazy level of detail that I get from this series.

In the end, this story and this saga is still a culmination of a romance between a seemingly normal human and an incubus, but there's so much more to it when you dive into the found family, the saga's expansive universe and the deep emotional complexities that these characters have to face with one another, with friends and family and ultimately with the antagonist the big bad Malak.

I loved that we get the chance to see some of the story through POVs from the entire crew. It gives some perspective that we hadn't had since most of the story is seen through Nathan's eyes.

Sidhe was an incredible and intense finale to the Incubus Saga. Lots of action, tragedy and drama. I had a few tears at different times, but that's not unusual for me. Sidhe cannot be read as a standalone, but be prepared to settle into the saga, because all 3 books are lengthy in the best way.

*There's a Nora Roberts trilogy that is somewhat similar to the idea in this book where you have a team of good individuals who have to build an army against the bad guys. The villains in that case were just vampires but they were still striving to take over the different dimensions/worlds. It's an interesting comparison because even though the beginning of the team building is early in the story, I could kind of see how it may come about.

I received an authorized copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.

The last book in the Incubus Saga gives us the conclusion that we have been waiting for since Changeling. Sidhe is everything that I could have wanted in the final book. Nathan returns from the Veil a changed man. I have loved him since book 1 and he has grown and changed over the course of the series. I am not sure that I will ever be able to let go of Nathan, Sasha, and Jim. I will revisit them from time to time. Amanda Meuwissen is such a great author with an eye to detail. I appreciate all of the different genres that she is able to write in, but I do have to admit that I love her paranormal books the most. I look forward to seeing where she takes us next!

I received an ARC from the author for my honest review.

Great addition to the series!

I loved Sidhe by Amanda Meuwissen. It's the third book in the Incubus Saga series. This book is huge at over 600 pages and I consumed it. Sleep is overrated. The author put Nathan through the wringer and he came out of it better than ever. I loved Sasha and Nathan and how they would do anything for each other. I can't get enough of them. I also loved Jim and Alex and Walley and Walter and Cam and Leven, and I totally want a side story about when Nathan introduces Leven to Adrian, and I'm sure I'm missing some people like the twins and Sasha's aunt and his best friend and his wife and Ula. The author teases about possibly another book and I hope she writes it. I would totally read it.

I read this book using the Kindle unlimited app.

This is book 3 in this trilogy and what a ride it was. The story starts right as the second one ended. Nathan was pulled into the veil by Malak. When Nathan wakes up, both Jim and Sasha are there to greet him. When he was told that it took a week to get him back, he was surprised as he was in the veil for a year. What followed was Nathan trying to overcome the nightmares that followed him from the veil. As the story progresses, they are getting ready for war with the dark sidhe, Malak. You also find out more about different species that came to Nathan’s side to help. I loved these books. They had lots of action and heat. Cannot wait to read more from this author.

Nathan absolutely broke my heart. This saga, because that is what it is, is absolutely incredible. Please read all three books. I am glad that I did not pick these up until now when I could go through all three of them at once instead of having to wait as would have been the case if I had read them when they were initially published. The ending of Changeling killed me, but this author definitely knows how to handle her story. Oh my gosh. This is so good. I adore Nathan and Sasha and Nathan and Jim. Nathan is self sacrificing to a fault, but Sasha will always be by his side to pick him up and support him. All the feels at the end of this!!!

These books drag on and on because the author keeps writing Nathan doing one stupid thing after another and this time he gets an innocent killed because of these stupid antics. Nathan just stands there monologing while an evil changeling has his boyfriend choke his brother almost to death. No normal person would do this. Why the author thought this was a good things to write is beyond me. The fact that no one else seemed to have a problem with this is even more baffling. I literally want to stop reading now but I agreed to read and review. I honestly don't see how this book could get better though.

There are some really good moments in this book. I liked the characters and there interactions together. I liked how the book ended. This would've been a 4 ⭐️ book for me except the above issues were big IMO.

Nathan's story reaches its climax as things keep taking turns in the most unexpected places.
The enemy has its moments to shine, to bring chaos and desperation, as it keeps interfering in our characters’ lives.
Secrets, betrayal, manipulation, deception, lies, and a couple of other schemes take place during crucial moments.
I appreciated the little glimpses from different perspectives on certain circumstances, as the truth is kept secret until the true ramifications are revealed.
I was grateful the story had a happy ending.

Nathan was with Malak for a week before returning to Sasha and Jim but it seemed like a year. He had been tortured, can't accept he's back and has to fight himself until he overcomes the fear. Sasha is as pure and sweet as ever, Jim accepts himself as strong and Nathan has to prepare to lead the fight against the veil falling and letting the evil fae in. I loved the Giles /Buffy reference. This was an epic conclusion to several exceptional books telling an amazing saga. I received a copy of this and this is my voluntary opinion.

4.5 stars. Part three of an epic urban fantasy series, which was worth every bit of the very long length. Nathan still continued to doubt himself despite the growing support from many beings. His struggles at the start of this book, in particular, were heartbreaking. The battle between "good" and "evil" showed the many complications of all the grey area in between. Wonderful ending and a beautiful HEA for Nathan and Sasha and their friends.
