In a world where war has ravaged two rival mafia families, the Vipers and the Panthers, Charlotte must learn quickly how to become a mafia princess. What started as a war for territory, now has become a game of leveling the playing field. Blood has been shed, and lives have been lost during this endless brutal war for power. Charlotte was taken from her parents' crime scene by the leader of the Vipers, Dimitri Angeloff. He has brought her home for his four sons to protect as if she were their own flesh and blood. She might not have been born into the mafia, but her new brothers will make certain she thrives. Charlotte must figure out the ways of the mafia in order to survive this deadly world she was brought into. This will include learning to live while her protective brothers watch her every move. When Charlotte convinces Dimitri to allow her to follow her brothers to college, he agrees but with one term. Charlotte will have a new bodyguard assigned to her. An ex-military, broody man that is in every way off limits to her.
I really liked the family dynamics and the romance in this! I also loved the side characters. And I liked the plot idea and thought it was very interesting! However, the writing wasn't my personal favorite. It just felt a little rushed at times, and some of the dialogue felt unnatural at times. I also noticed a couple of continuity errors as I was reading. But I did really enjoy parts of it, and I will definitely be continuing the series when the next book comes out!
First and foremost, I want to take a second to show my appreciation to Ms. Abby Moore for allowing me to read this book before it’s released. I was lucky enough to receive an arc of this book and I am truly truly blessed. NOWWWW, for the book!!
If I could give this a 6 star rating, I would. This book was so captivating. I related to Charlotte so much more than I thought I would, I think that may be why I loved it so much. If you love a good body guard love trope, this book is definitely for you. I have to say Finn has my heart 😩🩵. Charlotte and Finn together?? The greatest couple EVER. At some points, I was wanting to jump into the book just to stand up for our FMC🤣🤣.
This book was all things I would consider perfect. It kept my attention from page 1. I was immediately hooked. I couldn’t put it down. (Thank you to my full time job for not allowing me to finish this right away😒). This book gave a full description of family. And how family should always protect one another. It showed the depths that family will go to for each other, especially the glue that holds the family together. This book also does have some triggers so I would definitely check those! This book depicted REAL life problems that young adult females go through on a daily basis.
I have to say, I adored this book. If you love romance, forbidden romance, mafia life, and family dynamics, then this book is 100% for you. I highly highly recommend reading this book. It truly deserves ALL of the praise it can get. Again, thank you Ms. Abby Moore for trusting me with this masterpiece, I will forever be grateful❤️.
Vipers Den is a story of a young girl who is kidnapped by a mafia king who raised her as his own. This story has a strong LFC (Charlotte) that, by the end, you will need a box of tissues, but you will want the fight along beside her as she becomes a mafia princess of the Vipers and wadges war on the rival mafia group the Panthers.

Viper’s Den by Abby Moore was so intriguing and honestly fascinating from start to finish. I don’t write a lot of reviews but this one really stuck with me. Abby Moore’s writing is amazing and feels like nothing else I’ve read. I was so in my feelings toward the end I was not expecting it to be over so soon. I loved every bit of it and I can’t wait for the next one whenever the author is ready (ps. take your time, I’ll be here waiting!) Anyways everyone should give it a try I love the author and I hope a lot more people can come across her like I did!!
I literally started this book after work and just finished it! I am absolutely heartbroken over the ending and need the second book immediately. Watch for some really dark trigger warnings! I cried the whole ending of the book. My sweet Charlotte. I cannot wait to immerse myself in the female rage that will be pouring out of the next book. 😩
This book is amazing. I feel if you like mafia romance mixed with found family and a woman defending what she knows she deserves, which is revenge. Please check your trigger warnings, which contains rape and lots of mental abuse, as well as physical abuse. I am so happy the author sent me this book to read and would recommend it to everyone!!!!
Yeah I’m probably going to change this to a 5⭐️ I’m currently processing all of my feelings after that ending. I’m so sad I can’t dive into book two right now but I know I’m going to love it.
I looooved this book! I really enjoyed the multiple twists throughout the story! The characters were amazing. the dynamic of Charlotte with her 4 overprotective brothers was so cute! Having them be willing to die or kill for her was adorable. I also absolutely loved whenever her bodyguard was in the scene (especially around her father) Tbh I just loved all of this book. I could literally just keep going about each character or scene that I loved (minus some parts with certain someone's) But getting to watch charlotte slowly grow into herself was amazing to see and even though shes not completely herself yet, it makes me not be able to wait for the next books to come out and continue this story with her and her families growth!
Let me tellllll youuuu I looveeeee a good mafia romance and this gave me everything I was craving 🥵 charlotte is definitely one of my new favorite fmc.
I had the honor of being an ARC reader for this amazing book! Couldn’t stop reading! Phenomenal characters, great storyline, and plot twists the entire book! Watching Charlottes character slowly grow and see just how amazing she truly is with the protection of her 4 brothers and body guard! Forbidden Love, Mafia Family, Kidnapping!
I really enjoyed this book and was hooked from the beginning! The familial aspects were so sweet - I love how protective Charlotte’s brothers’ were of her. Finn is my favorite and I can’t wait to see his and Charlotte’s relationship develop in the next book!
So first off I want to say how lovely Abby Moore is as a person and an author! I reached out to her to ask a bit about her favorite books and she said her dark romance book (Vipers Den) was one she was very proud of. I can absolutely see why!!
It was fun, whitty, interesting and thoroughly enjoyable! There are heavier themes in the book so definitely be cautious about that but DO NOT turn this book away because of it! It was well written and honestly a pretty small part towards the end. The courage and the strength that the FMC faces is stunning and her growth is amazing to watch.
Finn.. omg. Where do I even begin?!!! I LOVE HIM😭 I could tell from the beginning I had to remember that name and he is so fun and spunky and just such a great MMC! I really liked that the dual POV was of Charlotte (FMC) and her dad instead of the usual love interests. It shows how strong and deep a fathers love for his adopted daughter truly is and the fact it was mafia based was really refreshing to see a book with that troupe as fun and as loving as it was!
I honestly enjoyed this book, I give it a 3.5 stars. This book had me crying, laughing, kicking my feet and all the above. This wasn’t a five star review for me because some parts of the books didn’t transition very well and left me confused. Also, in my personal opinion I wouldn’t have considered this book to be a dark romance. Aside from that, I’m curious to find out how Charlotte and Finn’s relationship will grow, especially now that Char is out for revenge. This book ends on a cliffhanger so as soon as book #2 comes out I shall be buying it!

I was an Arc reader for this book. It is amazing read. The entire book was an infinity star for me. I cannot stop thinking about the story the plot twists, it had several points where I was giggling and laughing, but also getting angry for the main character. This book is an incredible mafia book.
This was my first read from the author Abby Moore. I was immediately hooked from the beginning. Me personally I have never read anything like it. There is so much to unpack and my emotions were everywhere, but I enjoyed every minute of it. I would actually read it again haha.
I read this as an arc reader. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and as soon as I picked it up, I was not able to put it down. I finished it in half a day because it was that good. This is the second book by this author that I have thoroughly fallen in love with.
First 5 star read of the year. I audibly screamed when the book ended on the biggest cliffhanger I’ve encountered this year. It has enemies to lovers, it has forbidden romance, it has a badass FMC. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series. I would highly recommend this to any and all of my dark romance girlies. 5/5.

Abby does it again, I loved this book so much, it is one of my first dark romances and I loved it. I was hooked from the first few chapters in and that ending! I need more!!
This was my first Abby Moore book and I am absolutely hooked!!!
I loved the found family in this book and how each brother was so different but all still shared the same love and drive to protect their sister!! I love how this book doesn’t follow the normal path that a book about a mafia princess and her family normally follows. Their family dynamics were loving and protective and at times possessive but never controlling or demeaning to Charlotte. I loved the twist and turns in this book. I am already dying for book two!!
I give this a 4 star but really a 3 star. It should have been edited first before releasing. It was a good book don’t get me wrong. Charlotte was a lovley FMC. Amara was lovley as well. Charlottes brothers were amazing. Finn I needed more, I needed his POVS. The dad I felt for him😣. Charlottes went through hell with the r*pings and beating (21 men r*ped her?!) Dominic and Sadie can dig themselves a hole. It was too short of a book for me. Griffin and Amara are kinda cute. Hope there’s a book 2!
Vipers Den hooked me from page one and refused to let me breathe. This book is dark, seductive, and wickedly addictive — the exact kind of story that makes you forget the world exists. Abby Moore built a universe where danger is beautiful, loyalty is razor-sharp, and every character feels like a coiled serpent ready to strike.
The tension? Off the charts. The chemistry? Venomous in the best way. The plot? Twisted, layered, and full of “wait… WHAT?!” moments.
I loved the way the author blends sensuality with power plays, secrets, and deadly intentions. The morally gray characters are crafted so well that you don’t know whether to love them, fear them, or worship them… so you end up doing all three. This is the kind of dark romance where the world is unpredictable, the stakes are high, and every chapter leaves you hungry for more.
The main relationship is explosive — a mix of obsession, danger, and a pull that feels almost supernatural. And the world-building? Chef’s kiss. Dark, lush, atmospheric, and dripping with tension.
By the end I had chills, a racing heart, and a desperate need for book two.
If you want a dark romance with serpentine intrigue, dangerous men, a heroine who doesn’t back down, and the kind of chemistry that burns slow and strikes fast — this is it. A top-tier dark romance start to a series that promises pure chaos and pure obsession.
I definitely recommend giving this one a read! It was my first mafia book and I liked it. Charlie and her friends were pretty funny, they made me giggle!
*Edited… Not sure how my star review got removed but I put it back. Just clarifying so that the author does not message me thinking I’m trying to rekindle any drama.
Vipers Den had me hooked from page one and didn’t let go, not even when I thought I had it all figured out. Spoiler: I didn’t. Every twist yanked the rug out from under me in the best way possible. This was my first read from this author, and let me just say... I’m already clearing shelf space for whatever comes next.
This book is a delicious cocktail of mafia drama, found family feels, bodyguard romance, and emotional grit. The FMC, she’s been through hell no five-year-old should have to experience, and instead of breaking, she walks out of the flames straight into the arms of a powerful mafia family, one that’s nursing its own scars. Her new life includes a mafia king for a father, four fiercely protective brothers, and a squad of bodyguards that scream “touch her and die.”
Subtle., Not even a little. Effective, absolutely.
The story zips from childhood to college-age without missing a beat. The pacing is tight, the transitions are smooth, and the emotional beats land exactly where they should. And our girl, She’s flirty, fiery, and absolutely fearless. She keeps the boys on their toes and readers grinning like fools. Expect spice, snark, and scenes that had me giggling, gasping, and clutching my Kindle like it owed me answers. There’s kidnapping, rival crime family chaos, and enough tension to make your heart race, in every sense of the word.
If you love mafia romance with bite, banter, and a heroine who refuses to be anyone’s pawn, Vipers Den is your next obsession. I’m officially in my mafia era, and this author is leading the charge.

Wow, I absolutely Loved “The Vipers Den” . Abby Moore has delivered the perfect blend of intense romance and gripping mafia intrigue. The chemistry was undeniable….steamy, emotional, and beautifully balanced with moments of real tenderness. At the same time, the plot kept me hooked with twist after twist. It has a Romeo and Juliet vibe. Watching Charlie step into a dangerous world and unexpectedly gaining a father, four fiercely protective brothers, and an entire crew willing to kill for her was incredibly satisfying. The story was fast-paced, layered, and impossible to put down. I’m officially obsessed and will be very impatiently waiting for the next book in the series! Well done to the Author! Amazing story!
