In your hand is an indispensable pocket-sized training manual for new dads. Written by ex-Commando and father of three, Neil Sinclair, this no-nonsense guide will teach you how to:
• Prepare base camp for your baby trooper’s arrival
Very helpful reference book for parents from birth up to a year old. Even though it says it’s for dads, any parents could use this.
Easy to understand and follow. No complicated waffle!! Due to its physical size it is easy to slip into a pocket and carry around as a reference if needed.
Fun and easy to read guide. It’ll help you from birth til 12 months. Right to the point and well structured. It’ll advise from food, to entertainment, transport, essential lists of products to have anywhere you go, health conditions and how to identify, mediate and when to escalate to a health practitioner.
Only downside is the terms used, which while funny at times, it does make you think. But if needed it comes with a glossary of each term.
Very useful to read it once, and use the key words at the end of the book when required, as it’ll tell you what page of the book you need to go to.
Complains about novelty books which is odd given it’s delivery of BT “Baby Trooper” and MT “Mobile Trooper”. This is also odd as Commandos don’t have Troopers but Marines. Good general advice without being preachy about his being the only way. Has some words in the glossary I don't think that he uses in the main text but are very Royal Marine based (Yomping) for example.
I brought it for my son in law as a fun book gift at the baby shower, to read before he experiences his first time as an expected father....nothing like being prepared and this book will give him a light hearted look at what he's about to go through.
A brilliant intro and reference book for all things baby. Greg bought this for himself and said how good it was so thought I'd give it a go, given that most antenatal classes have been cancelled. Some great tips 👍
A pretty good summary of the most important things a new parent will need. Although it's marketed towards dads, everything here can be used my moms too. It will be a book that I will be coming back to as a reference for sure. Due to some common sense and very basic advice, I have given it 4/5.
