Tiny Tiger is very shy and sad until Riley Lion gives him some advice.
This is another book my 4 year old grandson brought me to read. Written in a rhyming style with lovely illustrations this book also comes with extra ideas for discussion, flash cards and more.
Tiny Tiger is a great book for readers that are just getting started. Readers will learn about a shy tiger that just wants to make a friend of two. This book provides great pictures and details on each page. The young readers will love this book. For these reasons I am rating thi book 5/5 stars.
Another in a series of books highlighting specific vowel sounds. This one is long /i/. There's a nice message about overcoming shyness, but in order to do so, the main character lets an adult take him to a restaurant and buy him pie. It's never explained that they already knew each other so that's kind of stranger-dangery. I'm probably over-thinking that because its a good series of books for what it's trying to do.
This story is extremely relatable for young students. Jumping out of one’s comfort zone is not always easy but this teaches a way to be yourself in order to make friends! There is rhyme and rhythm that proceeds throughout the story. The involvement of a mentor figure is a good example for this age group as well as learning to deal with different emotions. Love this book!
