Through sign language and acting, two young men seeking their places in the world discover a connection that transcends the spoken word.
“It doesn’t matter if you don’t know the right sign or if you mess up. You don’t need to use words with me. I can read everything about you.”
Fujinaga finally lands a lead role in a stage play, and Keito makes it his mission to see it with his own eyes. The world finally recognizes Fujinaga’s unique talent, and Keito is here to witness this life-changing moment. When the play concludes its run, Keito receives a message from Fujinaga: “I want to see you.”
After so much time apart, both are wrestling with possessive desires and an overwhelming yearning to communicate the feelings deep in their hearts, an act that may not require any words at all.
Overall - lovely read :)) The illustrations of characters and language expressions/explanations, were beautifully drawn.
Throughout all 3 volumes, panels gave me some sort of balanced feel: Quite dramatic and expressive / calm and collected Awkward / comfortable Independent / codependent
It feels like they got way more animated in this volume; a lot of the panels have kind of over-the-top expressiveness...maybe Fujinaga's visually loud personality rubbing off on Keito? It's cute and adds to their officially-dating excitement, but could get a little distracting if that continues.
Actually loved that there was a solid chunk of time given to actually showing Fujinaga's play. I don't know if I buy that he'd get ultra-popular from a single play - to the level of being recognized in the streets of Japan's most crowded intersection. That probably should've been saved for after his next role, when having a former idol cast alongside him would yield that level of public visibility and scrutiny.
Still, it's good to see Fujinaga finally thriving and being recognized for his charismatic talent. It makes sense; people who are a little "too much" or hard to understand or deal with in normal one-on-one interactions can shine so brightly on a stage where they're projecting an entire personality to an audience. It fits Fujinaga, and it leaves Keito tied between pride and excitement for him, and jealousy over so many other people suddenly wanting a piece of his formerly not-very-popular boyfriend.
I like that Keito's the one with a lot more dating experience, and how much of Fujinaga's relationship with him is learning how to fit into Keito's world, which is making him grow a lot as a person. I said this in the previous volume's review; it's nice to have a Deaf character never being treated as someone who's in need of being "rescued" or "helped to fit in." By Fujinaga, anyway, and by Keito himself, who is perfectly comfortable with how he engages with the world. His overprotective brother might think differently, but families can be like that.
Also interesting how Keito resisted Fujinaga's attempts to use a phone to make their communication clearer at one point where they were struggling to understand each other. From Fujinaga's perspective, it makes sense: typing things out on a phone is the clearest way to ensure they're both experiencing the same words. But for Keito, it's an unwelcome interruption in an emotional moment where he just wants to keep eye contact with Fujinaga, without a screen coming between them.
I like that they're awkward around each other as they navigate the early stages of dating, but also really comfortable with each other due to their ongoing friendship and trust. They're a good couple; any drama seems like it'll have to come from the exterior. Like Fujinaga becoming more of a celebrity, and whatever this warning was about the idol costar.

Seeing more of Aoi and Keito dating each other is adorable and cute. And seeing that there is trouble on the horizon (or at least conflict) without the next book out already is annoying in the extreme.
This is the first time I felt the word “love” is not enough to describe what Fujinaga has for Keith. It’s so much greater and more sacred. I love them !!! Read until chapter 13.
fujinaga and keito are so adorable together! i love seeing these two characters caring about each other so deeply and making a good influence on each other!!
