Just terrible. The new Surfer is one of the most unlikable characters I have seen in a while, the bad guy's motivation seems to just be an asshole for the sake of it, and the story is disjointed and doesn't always make a whole lot of sense. 5 issues weren't enough to tell the story they were trying to tell.
The Silver Surfer deserved better and I hope they retcon this mess asap.
I read this in single issues as it came out. Issue five dropped today as I write this review. Simply put, if you're a fan of Norrin Radd, prepare to be disappointed. This miniseries is less about him, and more about the introduction of a new character, Kelly Koh, and how she becomes the latest iteration of the Silver Surfer. I don't mind new characters taking up mantles for classic ones, however I did not care for the writing here at all. Pak has done better work than this. Instead of reading this, check out Silver Surfer: Requiem by J. Michael Stracynski.
