Just terrible.
The new Surfer is one of the most unlikable characters I have seen in a while, the bad guy's motivation seems to just be an asshole for the sake of it, and the story is disjointed and doesn't always make a whole lot of sense. 5 issues weren't enough to tell the story they were trying to tell.

The Silver Surfer deserved better and I hope they retcon this mess asap.

I read this in single issues as it came out. Issue five dropped today as I write this review. Simply put, if you're a fan of Norrin Radd, prepare to be disappointed. This miniseries is less about him, and more about the introduction of a new character, Kelly Koh, and how she becomes the latest iteration of the Silver Surfer. I don't mind new characters taking up mantles for classic ones, however I did not care for the writing here at all. Pak has done better work than this. Instead of reading this, check out Silver Surfer: Requiem by J. Michael Stracynski.

Insomma. Sono piuttosto perplesso.

I personally just read/requested for this one since I wanted to read more of the writer's works, since I enjoyed his City Boy with Minkyu Jung. Personally I wasn't that familiar with Silver Surfer aside from being a Herald of Galactus and his name being Norrin Radd.

I think I enjoy the ideas, but execution feels weird. Like I get the idea of B.A.N. (the antagonist organization) but it's too black and white and of course we . I think I just moved too fast, maybe if I read more of Norrin Radd/Silver Surfer previous comics, I'll appreciate his motivations and death better (not a spoiler, since it's on the title).

On the new Silver Surfer, I'm just a bit surprised that Kelly Koh is a new character and even B.A.N. is relatively very new. Not really sold on her yet, her arc is super expected and a bit generic.

The art team, Sumit Kumar & Frank D'Armata, is decent, a typical big-two comic art. But I really love the art/panels of the first couple of pages of the first issue.
