Join Milo, the long forgotten pet, as he travels the world in search of nothing more than a friend he can call his own.
Milo & Ze is the eagerly-awaited second illustrated children's book by Mark Watson and Pablo Michau, authors of the bestselling, "The Shark in the Park".

"Milo is a cute bull terrier puppy who has been forgotten, locked in a kennel, until one night a blinding light comes out of the night sky and smashes his kennel creating a crater that the bull terrier braves his way to peer into and hears a mole who asks his name and the little bull terrier discovers a fallen star: `'Never again need you wish for a friend, he waits for you at your journey's end.' And off Milo goes on a journey, sees a truck, meets Big the Pig who invites him to his yacht which turns out to be a leaky barge but Milo jumps ship and ultimately comes ashore to see Big the Pig safe and free. Milo meets a pelican who gives him a ride. The next ride is on a camel but a sandstorm hits, covers the little bull terrier, but he is discovered by an elephant who helps him on his journey. But more adventures arise - a tiger, a mountain goat, a cavern and finally, the little bull terrier puppy arrives at the door where lives an Indian lad by the name of Ze: Milo finally has a friend of his own.
Enchanting rhyming verse, exquisite illustrations and a heartwarming adventure that simply is restorative and makes the reader feel good. Searching for friends - a great goal and a wonderful destination. Highly recommended for children and art loving adults."

This is a beautiful story and an amazing tale of friendship. The story is fun for kids and has a wonderful message and the illustrations are delightful. I have read one other of this author's books and I highly recommend both. This story is one you will want your kids and grandkids to have handy, whether in or book or on the bookshelf, I feel that latter is better. Great job in a beautifully written story.

Milo & Ze: A Bull Terrier Puppy Adventure is a heartwarming and visually striking tale that invites both children and adults into a story of friendship, bravery, and belonging. Written by Mark Watson and beautifully illustrated by Pablo Michau, this rhyming adventure follows Milo, a lovable Bull Terrier puppy who sets off on a journey to find his missing friend, Ze.

What makes Milo & Ze stand out is the emotional depth woven into a playful, accessible story. Milo’s loyalty and determination shine through every page, offering young readers a gentle yet powerful message about never giving up on those you care about. The rhymes are lyrical and well-paced - ideal for reading aloud - and the language feels both fun and meaningful without ever talking down to kids.

Pablo Michau’s illustrations are bold, dramatic, and full of personality. Each page is a visual treat, with expressive characters and moody landscapes that elevate the story’s emotional stakes. As an illustrator myself, I found the artwork particularly captivating—its cinematic style adds a sense of scale and adventure rarely seen in picture books for this age group.

Milo & Ze is more than just a cute dog story; it’s a touching reminder of the bonds that connect us and the courage it takes to follow your heart. Whether shared at bedtime or explored in a classroom, this is a book that resonates long after the final page.

Milo is an bull terrier who has been virtually abandoned by his human owners. One night a blinding light from the sky shatters his doghouse and leaves a gaping crater. A falling star urges him to follow it on a one week's journey, after which Milo will find his true friend Ze. What an adventure! Milo meets all sorts of animals and even a monster on a trip that ventures over the seas, up into the skies and across the desert. Milo's faith and resistance to all manners of peril allow him to survive and find his true friend, at last!

The illustrations of Pablo Michau and the crisp rhymes draw readers into the adventure. Targeted for preschoolers and primary grade children, this book is a good choice for a bedtime story or as a child's beginning read aloud. Fosters the values of friendship and persistence. Highly recommended.

I am not sure if I have ever read an illustrated children’s picture book quite of this type. I am quite sure about this: I have not earlier read anything like this on a digital reader.

It is delightful. It took me back to times when my children—all grown up now—would pester me to tell them stories and I often ran out of inspiration. Something like this would have been a heaven sent gift.

I enjoyed this book, such that when I reached the end I felt mildly irritated that I had already reached the end, in what seemed to be just minutes.

The story is in verse, in rhyme, of the kind that you could kind of sing as you told the story to the little ones. The art work is just divine.

Again, I just wish it had been a bit longer.

Absolutely recommended if you have kids who keep demanding stories.

And maybe even if you don’t.

Milo is a small bull terrier whom his human owners abandoned. Milo is sad and lonely without any friends until something hits his doghouse one day and he is sent on a journey to find Ze, his new best friend. He makes friends with some strange and funny adventure characters. The author takes us on a journey and tells us that the greatest gift of all is love. The faith and resistance of Milo to all kinds of danger helps him to live and, eventually, find his true friend! Pablo Michau's illustrations and the crisp rhymes will attract readers to this adventure. Mainly targeted at pre-schoolers and primary-grade students, this book is a good option for children to read aloud or as a bedtime story. Promotes the ideals of friendship and patience. I admire that this book shows kids how to find ways to help each other out, so I'm more inclined to add it to my book collections.

Great bedtime story on kindle fire

Wonderful, colorful illustrations. My son loved it, as did I. It was the first bedtime story book we used in kindle unlimited on my kindle fire for bedtime story time. Usually we do physical books, however, we wanted to try something different since it was later and didn't want to turn the room light on. We had a night light and the screen light. So vivid in the screen. The story was adorable. will definitely be doing more bedtime stories with kindle unlimited!!!

It is about a dog named Milo who finds a fallen star. Throughout the book, Milo goes on an adventure to find an owner and makes friends with different animals along the way. Each animal helps him travel further along into his journey. Pablo Michau illustrated this book. The illustrations show Milo’s journey with bright colors.

A cute and rather long children's story book with lots of illustrations about a puppy. Loved the illustrations! The writing is very good and the story flows very smoothly. You follow this cute puppy and his star on an adventure to find a friend. I don't want to give too much away, so make sure to pick this one up to find out what happens!

Amazing Book

My grandaughter Annika says “this is an amazing book!” She just read the whole book on her own. Grandma liked the pictures. Annika liked the monster. Annika guessed the ending and she got it right.
