‘The world is at war with the Primal Virus’ - A Prescient Thriller….
Michigan author WJ Lundy has extensive experience in the military, serving as Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy in Europe, Southeast Asia, the Balkans, and as a Veteran continuing his service in Afghanistan. For those who were introduced to him in the fine ORIGINS OF HONOR anthology with other fine writers, his own novels allow further and deeper appreciation of his talent. His books to date - THE SOLDIER series, THE HUNT, THE CREED, BLACKBIRD and FIVE ROADS TO TEXAS, the TOMMY DONOVAN series, THE INVASION series, and of course the eight part WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT series, now being offered in bundles – ESCAPE containing the first three novels.

Charging a dystopian sci-fi subject with wholly credible characters that make the presence of zombies near credible is a trait that pervades this exciting series. Lundy serves up his ideas well, and reading one novel in this series likely assures the reader to continue the fantasy journey. And now that is possible vis-à-vis this bundle.
Quality writing, vivid attention to detail, and fast paced, this is an excellent series that speaks to the art of WJ Lundy and is bound to attract an even a larger audience to his work. Recommended.

Great Book! Great take on a familiar story line.
I was a bit nervous picking this it as my next book to read. 99% of my books on kindle are freebies, and it tends to be hit or miss with them, so it's always a gamble when you pick up one of these freebies to read.. my wife calls it "Kindle Roulette", more so with an omnibus. My middle daughter chose this one for my next read, and I'm so glad she did!
I loved the character development, and the action never stopped. It was well thought out and had perfect, easy to follow timing, something that a lot of authors miss or mess up. It was a pretty great entry to a familiar line, and the author pulled it off flawlessly in my opinion.
I have a few corrections in my Amazon account: "good read", "read again", "meh", don't bother", and my favorite but seldom used: "BUY!!!". this one is definitely going into the last collection!

The virus turn people into rabid beast who only want to eat the non-infected. This is an excellent three some for the genre.....DEHS

Fast paced action packed page turner
WTF a well written omnibus of small team warfare against an enemy that doesn't know the meaning of giving up and can't be defeated by normal methods.
The author's own experiences as a serving soldier are masterly woven into the plot.
The action is stacked up on every page as the main characters of the story fight to survive and reach the safety of friendly forces
The narrative of the story is so well written that it doesn't take too much imagination to understand the developing scenarios.

9-11 Never ended.
The author W. J. Lundy used his imagination to create a whole different plot for an undead story.
Full of expected and much unexpected twists which catches you totally unprepared.
Beautiful narration by Andrew Wehrlen for each of the characters in this creation.

Engaging, entertaining ,& hard to put down
Was not sure what to expect with this series but as I got deeper into the story I wanted these men to succeed in getting home. Up close and personal view of bravery and duty that is drawn from the authors personal experiences make it real in a way that is hard to describe.
Heading on to the next book in this series.

Terrific.
Love, love, love this series. Finished with one through three and going on. Well written, exciting series. Just terrific. Very well edited, caught maybe 3 errors so no grammatical distracting errors. Highly recommend it you are interested in these types of books.

Wild ride! Well-told story of a group of soldiers trying to get home from the Middle-East after a world wide apocalypse. Eager to read the next book in the series!

Not just another zombie story
I will admit that I'm a Walking Dead fan and, therefore, somewhat of a zombie snob. I don't fall easily for every story about the undead, but this one hooked me all the way to #6.
From the first page Lundy starts reeling you in with just the right amount of detail and suspense. You feel the anxiety of the characters and you find yourself feeling suspicious of each new situation and character. You are often wondering if you will lose a favorite character or will he/she squeak through another harrowing situation. Warning - nothing is predictable in these page turners by Lundy...you just gotta hang on and ride it out to the end!

Book Bub Gem
I'm new to the apocalypse genre, and after reading this series I feel like I've been missing out. WOW! This was such a fantastic introduction to the series and genre. It was well written by someone who has been trained to deal with a zombie apocalypse, if zombies represent a biological warfare outbreak and it's aftermath. The story contained believable characters, story elements, and plot line. Author, please keep up the good work as I will definitely look into other books by you.

Not normally my cup of tea but I thoroughly enjoyed this. It kept going at a swift pace and the 'militarism' was not too overpowering. A good story with a great range of charachters. Not sure I will read the rest of the series as it looks as though it might extend past the end of those currently available and I am not sure where the end of the journey could be as there seem to be no specific goal in mind.

Wow!
I would recommend this series to anyone with a love of zombies and the military. I'm not a huge fan of military stories typically, but the manner in which this was done exceeded excellent and riveting writing. The characters are each given the proper attention by way of individuality and skill set. I loved these books so much that this was my second read through... buy it! You won't be disappointed.

THE OMNIBUS OF ...
The 1st & 2nd book are a little slow and making the group run in circles. Some of the story seems to be grab by air (Col. Cloud anyone?). Characters show and disappeared as fast as they could.
Gladly, the author finally get the story on track by the 3rd book and is becoming increasingly interesting. One detail the "infected" in all the books "moan, here's, etc) maybe a little distance from this?

A good old fashioned zombie book
I like that the situations took into account the different reactions from civilian and military personnel, and put what mattered most to each person's motivation.

Great combat story

Loved It
These were not zombies exactly. More like raging crazies that don't die easily. Much more scary than a simple zombie. It's a military tale at the end of the world as we know it. The characters are likable and the story is paced perfectly.

I have enjoyed the series so far and it is a nice change from the traditional zombie stories and all those zombie stories where the Military are either non-existent or are bad guys.
