Rate this book
Calvin De’muore is on the run.

After a traumatizing event, Calvin is forced into hiding under the protection of Nathaniel Cross’ most esteemed bodyguard, Ezekiel Kelly.

Now that Joaquin Hernando is dead, Athena and Jason Vanguard hold the reins to the Hernando syndicate. However, their most desired target, Sonny Silvestre, is missing, and what better way to draw him out than to capture the person closest to Calvin De’muore.

Wanted, Calvin and Ezekiel must endure an on the road journey to New York City, with only each other to rely on. Forced into close proximity with the other, the two develop an everlasting bond. One that’s not just fulfilling, but essential for their survival.

Sonny and Nathan’s story continues along with Calvin’s in the second installment of the Echelon Saga, Convalescence.

This is the second book in the Echelon series and is NOT a stand-alone. It is recommended to read the series in order.

I absolutely loved this book. I am now in love with the series. The character development in this book is insane. After reading the first book of the saga, I was curious to see where it would take us, and omg, my mind was blown. I love a book where a "straight guy" falls in love with his bodyguard. Each character felt like they jumped out of their high school drama and into the harsh reality of the world where parents aren't always the knights and shining armor for their children, or how people can change perspective of what family actualy means.

EMILIA...GURLLLLL!!! she took me for a turn. I expected her to be a main villian allong side her family (the vanguards) with the path she was taking in the first book but she proved me wrong. I love a enemies to friends kinda story but the fact we get to experience Emilia's perspective. It was definitely a game changer she was such a baddie.

The relationship between Calvin and Ezekial is SO beautiful on there journey to get back to sonny and nathan. I felt like it was so refreshing to have a bi awakening guy to want a mans affection it made it SOT refreshing t to see them fall into love.

Calvin grew so much, I loved seeing how he grew from being sonnys right hand man and protector to being protected. He grew emotionaly and became so mature especailly towards the end. It brought Of another side of him that was so exciting to see.

Overall this was a great read and I loved seeing every second of it especaily for what i think was the best wholesome chapter ive ever read being chapter 30 (final fantasy) it felt like such a needed time away from all the fighting and a chance to really show the connection of sonny and nathan. I recomend this book to everyone who loves a good lgbt romance with a great plot and some fire ass action scenes.
