Colleen was born in Iowa, but grew up in the San Franciso (CA) Bay area during the 1960s and 70s. She started her working career at 17, dropping coupons in cereal boxes on the assembly line for Kellogg's. Since then she has worked in Hospital Pharmacy, Teaching (infant Day Care through College Math,) and Accounting (payable and receivables; more fun to take money in than send it out!) She spent four years in the US Air Force working on (now long outdated) nuclear missiles. She also earned her Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources in 1984 from St. Leo's College Military Extension Program.
Colleen now lives in the Central Valley of California on a 5-acre "ranchette" owned by her sister, Sue. She lives with Sue, her mother, her other sister, Pat, two rescue dogs, one rescue pony, and one pony pony. She has two grown children, Katie and Bear. Bear is married and has her two grandchildren, Mara and Kaylynn. Colleen's story is for God's glory, always.

Here there be dragons—and adventure-thirsty adolescents.

With the help of her bondmate, a dragon named Canna, fifteen-year-old Gentry flees marriage to an insufferable jerk. Next, she accompanies Canna to the abode of dragons, where peril awaits.

As Gentry embarks on these exterior adventures, she also experiences an interior adventure greater than any she has ever known, with consequences that will last a lifetime.

Author Colleen Snyder has written a gentle, engaging fantasy perfect for adolescents, but adults can enjoy it too—this one did.

I received a copy of a free ARC, and I am providing an honest, uncoerced review in which all opinions are my own.

A dragon of a disciple!
A dragon teaches a young girl about the love of God as they take an emotional journey. This is a sweet, touching, and super creative take on the importance of faith, and listening for that still small voice that dwells within every Christian heart. Highly recommend!
I received a free reader copy, and these thoughts are based on my honest experience of reading this lovely story.

I downloaded the book to read before passing it on to my granddaughter. Was not disappointed - great spiritual lesson among a cute fantasy novel.
