Rate this book
Thanksgiving is in the air, and the Thorne sisters’ flower shop is overflowing with autumn mums, cinnamon-scented arrangements, and the cozy bustle of Bloomwood’s beloved Harvest Jubilee. Iris and Poppy Thorne are up to their elbows in plaid ribbons and pumpkin centerpieces, gearing up for their biggest commission yet, floral décor for the town’s centennial celebration dinner.

But when a prominent local collapses face-first into their prized Thanksgiving centerpiece during the mayor’s toast, the holiday cheer turns to shock. What was meant to be a joyful gathering of gratitude becomes a crime scene wrapped in whispers of curses, long-buried secrets, and a mysterious note.

As suspicion swirls through the town like falling leaves, Iris and Poppy dig into a tangled web of past heartbreaks, hidden motives, and old family feuds. With a lovesick secretary, a brooding groundskeeper, and a glamorous guest with ties to the victim, the sisters must work quickly to uncover the truth before someone else winds up carved out of the Thanksgiving picture.

Can Iris and Poppy solve the case in time to save the holiday... or will Bloomwood’s blessings give way to betrayal?

Curl up with Mums, Mayhem, and Murder, a heartwarming Southern mystery with a twist of danger and a slice of sweet potato pie.

I got half way into it and felt like it was finally getting started. I had to stop there though. There were soooo many literary devices thrown in that you got no actual information. What was there was very drawn out. Everything was compared as a metaphor or a simile. If not that then there was a metaphor. It just got very frustrating. The literary devices are well thought out and the premise of the story is interesting. You just don't get a good story with only literary devices and barely any supporting information.
