The Proposal Pact : Marriage of Convenience Romance

Rate this book
“Marry me.”
“Shrek, are you drunk?”

If a week ago you’d told me I would be standing right here, in front of the biggest little menace on planet Earth, asking her to marry me, I’d tell you you’ve lost it.
Yet, here we are. Because desperate times call for desperate measures. And my times are as desperate as they get with the local Granny Gang out to marry me off to whomever they deem worthy. Forget what I want, it doesn’t work like that in my small hometown of Loverly Cave because once they set their mind to something, they’ll do it and I’m just not interested in falling in love, having a family, or any of that.

Not again. Not after everything.

Hence why I chose Sophie Levidis for the job of my fake wife. There’s no way I’ll ever fall for this ball of mess and chaos who fell onto my head with her crazy, colorful life style, extreme hockey obsession, and absolutely no filter whatsoever.
She’s the safest bet to get rid of the Granny Gang.
Or so I thought…because now her color is bleeding over my gray lines.

“I thought I was your nightmare.”
“You are. The kind that scared the crap out of me and forced me to wake up.”

It just wasn't for me. A lot of HP references from a side character that threw me off and I couldn't connect with the main characters at all. There were some side characters with good banter, but that wasn't enough to keep me going.

BETA Review of The Proposal Pact by Daisy Thorn💘🌸👮🏻‍♂️🚓✈️💍📚

Wow… what a sendoff. I have no words, this was honestly the perfect ending to a series that has completely stolen my heart. Sophie and Callum? Hands down my favorite couple of the entire bunch. The way their story unfolded felt so real and so tender—it was everything I didn’t know I needed.

It still doesn’t feel real that this is the last book in Loverly Cave. I’m not ready to let go. This series has been my comfort, my escape, and honestly, a piece of my heart for so long. Every single book has been a five-star read for me, and this finale delivered in every possible way. I soaked up every page, and I already know I’ll be carrying these characters with me for a long, long time.

I adored seeing Sophie step into the spotlight. We’d seen glimpses of her before in”My Heartless Soul”, but watching her journey—her healing, her friendship with Grace, and of course her falling in love with Callum—felt so special. And the way they called each other “wife” and “husband”? Literal butterflies. I was grinning, kicking my feet, the whole thing.

And don’t even get me started on the little hockey Easter egg with Exton. If you know, you know—and yes, I squealed.🏒

I highlighted more of this book than I didn’t, which pretty much sums it up. This wasn’t just a story, it was a goodbye hug, and I’m truly obsessed. Can’t wait for what’s next from Daisy.💘

I really wanted to like this book and was excited to read the final book in the series, but I could’ve skipped this entirely. The first half of this book was painful to get through and really, I felt like I could’ve started at the 50-60% point and wouldn’t have missed a thing of importance.

This series is an interesting one for me. I started the series out of order by reading “Tame the Beast” first, which I found to be ridiculous in a highly entertaining way. If I’d started the series with the actual first book, I don’t think I would’ve read beyond it -even though I did like it since I knew what to expect of the characters. Somehow, “Tame the Beast” made it so that the idiotic and overbearing characters were bearable.

Vassar is the main reason Sophie agrees to marry Callum, and he’s a significant person in her life … until she gets married. Then Vassar’s character just falls off the face of the earth for a really good portion of it. I skimmed a few times wondering if he was mentioned in some sections I skipped, but nope. He pops back up eventually, but his removal from the story was weird.

I realize that everything about the series from the characters personalities to the overbearing and intrusive hive to the town itself are supposed to be exaggerated -but it’s still a lot. Somehow, this sixth and final book manages to ramp up all of the ridiculousness to where it’s just … too much. Far too much. I found myself skipping any text that mentioned Fanny, Lily, or pretty much any of the other mothers in the hive. Their roles were big enough in the previous books and they’re even bigger in this one. It’s just too much. I chuckled quite a bit at Sophie and Callum’s banter and the banter between their friends, but the Hive mothers, I just couldn’t stand at all. Had their appearances been dialed back a bit, I would’ve enjoyed this book a lot more.

As it stands, this book made me happy that this series is coming to a close so that the meddling Hive can be put to rest.

ARC Review: Thank you to Daisy Thorn and Luna Literary Management for sending me an advanced copy of The Proposal Pact to read and review

This book was cute, but the quirkiness of the characters could be a bit much sometimes. This book is a slow burn between the grumpy, former Navy SEAL sheriff and the new woman in town who brings color to his life.

Callum Lovinski is the grumpy sheriff of Loverly Cave. The granny gang in town is constantly trying to set him up on dates. He wants nothing to do with it. The town is full of colorful people, and he's trying to set quiet time curfews. To get the granny gang off his back, he proposes a fake marriage to the new woman in town, Sophia. One year of marriage, and no feelings. He's lost someone in his past, and he's afraid to love again. Sophia breaks through his barriers like a wrecking ball. He finds himself noticing things about her and doing nice things to see her smile. There are a lot of "my wife" moments that had me smiling.

Sophia was a software engineer who quit her job. She cut up her dress clothes and gave herself a haircut. Then she moved to Loverly Cave to be with her friend Grace. Sophia fit right in with her. Colorful characters of the town. She's funny, and she tries to put on a brave face when her feelings get hurt, but Callum sees right through her shield. I love that about Callum's character. She keeps finding ways to get on the grumpy sheriff's nerves, and she calls him Shrek. She wants to prove to her brother that she has her life together. She accepts Callum's proposal. Sophia helped Callum see the world in technicolor instead of black and white.

Callum and Sophie! Two imperfect people that needed each other in their darkest times. When she called him Sheri, I cackled!! I loved this corky small beach town vibes with the meddling town folk. I honestly wish I didn’t read this one first because it was hard to keep up with all the previous characters. Daisy does say to read the series before picking this one up..I didn’t realized when I requested the ARC because the tropes are some of may favorites, small town, fake marriage, forced proximity, and a grump MMC.

Thank you Daisy and Luna for this opportunity to read the Propsal Pact early!!

The Proposal Pact by Daisy Thorn
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Proposal Pact is the last book in the Loverly Cave series by Daisy Thorn and I’m so sad that it’s over. This series and town is so fun, chaotic, and addicting. Sophie and Callum are perfect for each other. I loved watching Sophie grow, heal, and become her beautiful, colorful self. Now, let’s talk about Callum, the hot sheriff. Callum is the definition of grumpy and possessive and the way he grows to care about Sophie is so sweet. The marriage of convenience aspect of this book was hilarious and so fun. Thank you so much to Luna Literary Management and Daisy Thorn for the early copy of this book, I can’t believe the series is over😭

I made it through the first two chapters, but the writing was really cringy and so over-the-top that I couldn’t keep reading. The premise and tropes sounded right up my alley, and I’ve enjoyed Born of Ice by this author, but this one just wasn’t for me—the writing felt completely different.

✨Review ARC✨

✨I voluntarily read this ARC of this book and this is my honest review ✨

Sophie is living in New York doing her dream job but isn’t taken seriously so she spontaneously quits her job to be near her best friend, Grace in Loverly Cave.

In Loverly Cave, she meets local sheriff, Callum, a grumpy man who’s not interested in finding love.

Callum’s family and friends are doing everything to find him a girlfriend but he is not interested.

To get them off his back, he comes up with a plan to ask Sophie to become his fake wife for a year.

I enjoyed this book! It’s definitely a slow burner so you’ll need stay focus with it and it starts to lift off but I do recommend this book.

I'm so sad that this is the last book in Loverly Cave buttttt this was the perfect way to end this series. I absolutely loved Sophie and Callum and can easily say they are my favorite couple of this series💛💛 From the moment these two met I was hooked - the way these two met will forever be my favorite😂 These two were completely opposites but the way they fit so well together was perfect

We got little bits of Sophie in her brother Vas's book, My Heartless Soul, and I was so excited to hear that she was getting her own book. Getting to see more of her was such a treat, Sophie is truly the sweetest. She cares so much about everyone around her and has the biggest heart. Seeing her show Callum that care and love melted my heart, this man has been through so much and needed the light that Sophie brought into his life. She definitely sneaked her way into Callum's heart and seeing him lower his walls and let her in was the actual sweetest🩵 Even though at the start he pretended he didn't care about Sophie, this man cared so much about his "little menance" - seeing these two move past what they went through had me so emotional and just loved how their story played out.

This was my most anticipated ARC. There were so many reasons why I wanted to have this ARC.

First, it was because I was so enamoured by the Instagram feed of Daisy Thorne and the way she has presented every book in the series — with those beautiful, colourful covers, and each of them having unique titles. Second, it was a marriage-of-convenience romance novel, which I absolutely adore. Third, it was Grumpy x Sunshine, again, my favourite trope. Fourth, it was a police officer romance — and I’m such a sucker for men in uniform. So yeah, I was four times more excited for this book. And when I finally got it, I couldn’t be more thrilled — like, yay, I got the book!

Then came the part when I started reading it. I wouldn’t say it was a bad experience or a good one — it was somewhere in the middle.

I loved the whole “my wife” and jealous scenes — I was a blushing mess. I loved Vass’s scenes in the book. Their chemistry was literally fire. Their friend circle was ah-mazy-ing 🤌🥹. I loved the whole backdrop of the story, Cal’s past, and him seeing right through Soph’s tough exterior. I especially loved how he never failed to take a stand for Sophie — literally in front of everyone *swoons*. I loved how she made him a hockey fan and them enjoying the match together >>>>>>>>

Things I didn’t like:

1. At the start of the book, I was so pissed. I don’t even know what to say. I was pissed because of the way the meddling kept happening. I was like, dude, at least give that guy some space. Okay, I know he’s here and you don’t want him to brood, but at least be there for him in the right way. Give him some mental space. Don’t hover over him. Don’t do all that meddling stuff. I was so mad, I couldn’t even explain.

2. The second was when Cal came to Sophie’s apartment for the first time. Sophie was seriously acting like a brat. She was acting like a spoiled kid. We all know that law enforcement officers, police officers, and fire officials — they’re there to help us. They’re hired to do their jobs. But she was being… what can I say? Such a kid. Because if that guy is there, he’s on duty. He got a call that something is happening in your apartment. So you’ve got to answer him, not act all crazy. I know she’s sunshine, full of insane energy, and chaotic — but at least be sensible.

3. The third was again the meddling. I was so done. I literally put the book on hold because I was getting so aggravated. I was like, I can’t with this anymore — the meddling, the hovering, the so-called Fantastic Four, the constant group chats. I just couldn’t. I know they cared for him, I know they had seen him suffer, but the way they were mentally pressuring him — it was borderline bullying him into marriage. That poor guy had to marry someone just to stop them from chasing him. I was so mad. Like, dude, give that guy some personal space. Why does he have no control over himself? Why do you get to decide who he dates, when he goes on a date, or even show up and announce things at his workplace? Maybe I’m overreacting, but as a reserved person who has faced this kind of scheming and meddling in real life, I genuinely felt bad for Cal.

4. Sophie never gets her character development. Marriage is never the end game, but in this book, it was given so much importance that it overshadowed Sophie’s professional growth. The whole point of marriage here was to prove to her brother that she’s not a child and that she has her life together. But marriage can never be your whole personality or the ultimate solution to your problems. That’s what I believe.

Maybe I’m wrong, maybe I just have a different perspective — but these are the things I felt while reading this book.

Thank You Luna Literary Management for providing me with the ARC <3

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Callum and Sophie.

This was my first time reading a Loverly Cave book and now I’m going to read the other five.

When the local Granny Gang sets their matchmaking sights on our reluctant town sheriff, Callum he hatches a plan: fake a proposal to Sophie Levidis, the town’s most unpredictable whirlwind of color, sass, and sports trivia. What starts as a strategic escape from love quickly spirals into something far more real. Thorn’s writing is sharp, hilarious, and full of heart. Sophie is a standout with her unapologetic personality and emotional depth that make her impossible not to root for.

The vulnerability they both showed and went they worked through was so empowering and emotional. Callum thought he could never love again due to his history and with that he hasn’t been with another woman in sixteen years because he couldn’t. He’s blamed himself to what happened sixteen years ago and no one knows the guilt, hurt and pain he has been living with bottled up.

Sophie needed a fresh start at the age of 27 because the life she had been living wasn’t what she wanted any longer. But her brother thought she was going through a mid life crisis but she needed her best friend back in her life so she was headed to Loverly Cave.

Callum aka Clover going full “my wife” mode. The man doesn’t just fake a proposal, he commits. Protective with a capital P, Clover stakes his claim with the kind of intensity that makes your heart race and your Kindle overheat. He’s not just playing pretend; he’s buying a ring, throwing down at coffee shops and making it crystal clear to anyone, especially his family that Sophie is his. The possessiveness is deliciously romantic and never overbearing, it is just the right mix of alpha energy and genuine vulnerability. It’s the kind of moment that makes you want to scream into a pillow and then immediately reread the chapter. To top that, OMG is Clover the king of dirty texting. His messages are the kind that make your jaw drop and your cheeks flush. I mean Sophie had to step into another room every time a Clover text came in, if you know what I mean. 😏

Perfect! This is just heart exploding, crazy, zany, only in Loverly Cave, perfect! The Lovehive
is in full effect and its usual step away from totally unhinged, the town itself is working some of its best don’t even try and fight it you know you love it here magic, and Callum and Sophie are giving every well meaning resident of this town copious amounts of fuel for their gossip fire and a run for their money in love plotting with Callum’s we’ll get fake married to thwart them plan. That backfires spectacularly. Because this grump falls so ridiculously hard for his rainbows and butterflies and pure sunshine wife it’s insane. And heart melting, and full of charming and over the top antics, blazing hot chemistry, and mine, mine, mine, and it’s completely wonderful and fills you to overflowing with happiness. It’s a romance that legitimately grabs you by the heart, hugs you tight and wraps you completely, in Loverly Cave’s favorite thing and the only reason to live, so much freaking love and it is unforgettably fabulous, and a total must read.
This is fantastic, like honest to God fill you with warmth and make you smile fantastic. Callum and Sophie are great characters who you love with everything you’ve got, the plot itself is simple, get fake married and find yourself falling, but Loverly Cave changes the whole game and makes it feel fresh, unique, and addictive, and… I am heartbroken. I do not want this to be the end of this series, I’m not ready to leave behind these characters, and I am totally destroyed about saying goodbye to Loverly Cave. This little town Daisy Thorn created truly has a special magic, it’s a warm hug, it’s feeling free to be exactly as you are, it’s crazy, it’s over the top, it’s a soft place to land when the world is hard, and it somehow really honestly is love, the very thing it's obsessed with, and I for one will miss it dearly. Highly recommending this book and shouting from the roof tops to not skip this series, it is worth every hilarious, well meaning, and heart felt second.

A fake marriage meets meddling grannies with a grumpy sheriff and a hockey-obsessed chaos queen: what could possibly go wrong.

Daisy Thorn delivers another delightfully chaotic romantic comedy in The Proposal Pact, where desperation meets charm in the quirkiest small town imaginable.

It’s the kind of moment that makes you want to scream into a pillow and then immediately reread the chapter. To top that, OMG is Clover the king of dirty texting. His messages are the kind that make your jaw drop and your cheeks flush. Honestly, if Sophie ever published a coffee table book titled Texts from Clover, I’d buy it in hardcover and annotate it.

This book is perfect for fans of small-town romances with big personalities, fake dating and laugh-out-loud dialogue plus many swoon-worthy moments.

If you’ve been following the Loverly Cave series, this is a satisfying, high-energy finale that ties everything together with warmth and wit. And if you’re new to the series, welcome to the madness. You’re in for a ride.

A huge thank you to Daisy Thorn and Luna Literary for the early copy!

If you’re in the mood for a story that will make you laugh out loud and swoon at the same time, this book delivers! As Daisy has mentioned before, you don’t have to read the earlier books in the series, but I’d definitely recommend it. Otherwise, you might miss some of the fun connections and the delightful chaos surrounding these characters.

But it’s not just humor—this book also touches on deeper themes like grief, healing, and finding your way back when you’ve felt lost for too long.

Callum and Sophie couldn’t be more different. Callum is a grumpy sheriff, weighed down by a past he can’t let go of, while Sophie is a software engineer searching for a little magic after leaving a soul-crushing job. Despite their differences, once Callum decided to deal with the meddling grandmas determined to set him up on endless dates, the two strike up a “proposal pact”: a one-year fake marriage where obviously they won’t fall in love (yeah, we all know how that goes!).

Their character development was beautifully done. Callum finally learns to leave the past behind and open himself up to real love, while Sophie embraces a life filled with color, chaos, and a certain grumpy sheriff who completely steals her heart.

And let’s talk about the spice—because wow, it was HOT! Callum’s dirty mouth had me blushing, and the way these two couldn’t keep their hands off each other? Utterly satisfying.

So, if you love marriage of convenience, age-gap romance, grumpy x sunshine, meddling hippy grandmas, a quirky small town full of wild personalities, and chaos—the best kind of chaos—this series is an absolute must-read!

Thank you so much to Daisy and Luna Literary for the opportunity to review an advanced copy of this great book!

Woman leaves big city job because she isn't taken seriously. Said Woman moves to be close to her best friend (what else is a woman going to do?). Grumpy Sheriff is single, and his family is pestering him to find love. Grumpy Sheriff and Woman agree to a fake marriage for a year. Cue the gossip and the romance.

Honestly, what's not to love about this set up?

I love, love, love Sophie! She is such a sweetheart with a huge heart, which is how she ends up married to Callum, said grumpy sheriff. It was really only a matter of time before Callum gave in and fell in love with her. But the time it does take gives you a bit of slow burn to watch as Callum's grumpiness fades (for Sophie!) and is replaced with a possessiveness for her. "My wife," ya know? They really are opposites whose worlds have collided in the best possible way for one another.

And don't get me wrong, this book is very sweet. But Callum... he has a filthy mouth. Hot, hot, hot. It was just what Sophie needed. No complaints from me either!

Now I need to read the rest of the books starting from the beginning!

I will say, I haven't read any of the other books, so it was a bit hard to keep up with all of the characters from the books prior. You're given information about them that seems like non sequiturs but I'm sure it would make sense if you had read the rest of the series. That was really my only issue with it.

Over all this 4.75 read is easily rounded up to a five star for me. Daisy Thorn draws readings into her newest romance chapter by chapter opening each one with a quote making the reader wonder the context of this newest chapter in the proposal pact. An example of the chapter lead in : “"My most brilliant achievement was my ability to be able to persuade my wife to marry me." - Winston Churchill”. The story focus on a town and the couple Callum and Sophie, who decide to make a pact. Sophie’s friend introduces her to the town Loverly Cave. Sophie friend believes one has to be ready before learning about it. Callum and Sophie make a pact that turns into a slow burn true romance. The plot is captivating and readers will be interested by the different balance between plot and character development and how these are interwoven together to create the character narratives of proposal pact. Once again daisy thorns writing and character development is spectacular. Her book is a fast paced read. Tropes found in proposal pact which might draw reader in are: grump and sunshine, marriage of connivence, grumpy sheriff, sunshine FMC, age gap 7 yrs, one bed, my wife, dirty text messages, no third act break up, small beach town with meddlers, and a bit of a slow burn. I highly recommend picking up Proposal Pact as Callum and Sophie’s story is fascinating and daisy thorns writing is brilliant. The three tropes the drew me towards this book where no third act break up, small town romance and marriage of convenience, when combined with the other mentioned tropes it creates a unique and different story to tell Callum and Sophie romance. The opening quotes for the chapters is clever.

🌈 !! arc review !! 🌈

this is it.
it was the last book of the loverly cave series and i am going to miss everyone and everything.

daisy wrote such beautiful books and ended it with the perfect story.

callum and sophie are so different but they just belong together.
they fulfill each other and make each other happy.

i love how the books was written and just overall the story.
i am not the biggest fan of marriage of convenience but daisy can make me read anything, because she writes everything so good.
and i am so glad I read it because i could not put it away, i read it in one session and maybe 8 hours?

the little details in this book warm my heart so much.

callum is so caring to sophie even though he pretends to hate her messy lifestyle, but he knows he loves it.
just the way he cares for her and is there for her in every situation, makes me almost cry again.
but that man has a filthy mouth on him as well, damn the spicy scenes were HOT.

i loved sophie. she deserves all the love and is just such a sweet human being.
she gets you and knows when you’re not ready to talk about something and i love that. she gives callum the space he needs but also pushes him in a way and i liked that.
she sneaked her way in his heart and how he warmed up and became such a softie was the best thing ever.

i am going to miss this little meddling small town so much.
these characters mean more to me than I could’ve thought and i‘m going to think of them a lot.

bye loverly cave - even though I don’t want to say bye 🥺

Thank you to Daisy Thorn for the chance to read an advance copy of this colorful story!

Welcome to Loverly Cave, a cozy little hippie town where color abounds. Unless you're the town sheriff Callum who's returned home after 16 years. The fantastic four granny gang have him set in their sights and ate dead set on making him fall in love. Enter recent new resident, Sophie, who is determined to reclaim her freedom and color. Will Callum's bright idea to temporarily marry Sophie end the granny gang's meddling, or will Sophie's need for color and inexplicable chaos be too much for him?

Thorn created the most beautiful character in Callum and Sophie. This read was so much fun watching these two fight against their feelings for each other, while overcoming their own issues. Sophie with the need for independence and reclaiming herself. Callum with his past loss and need to let his history go. The side characters in this story were hilarious. They added to the tension between the main couple.

“I thought I was your nightmare.” “You are. The kind that scared the crap out of me and forced me to wake up.”

"I think that’s my superpower, making the men in my life lose their shit because of me."

"I was absolutely content with my simple life, simple routine, no excitement, just living every day. And then comes in this wrecking ball of chaos, coloring over every gray area of my life until I no longer recognize it."

"Clover brought something into my life with all his gruffness and grumpiness that I couldn’t resist his pull. Even then, even I knew nothing of his soft heart underneath it all. I simply wanted more of the thrill he gave me."

I received an advanced copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily. The above opinions are my own.

ARC Book Review
The Proposal Pact
A Novel Written By Daisy Thorn
Fiction - Romance
Published August 2025
388 Pages
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the sixth and final book in the author’s Loverly Cave Series. I’ve enjoyed reading all six books in this series. The author ended this series on top. This one was a winner. I’ve enjoyed the author’s writing. This series is full of humor and emotion. Daisy Thorn has created a colorful town with quirky residents who want to help everyone find love. The love hive chat is a riot. I looked forward to reading the quotes at the beginning of each character.

The Proposal Pact is Sophie and Callum’s love story. Sophie has quit her job in New York City. She travels to Loverly Cave to be with her friend, Grace. Sophie has a hilarious run in with the town sheriff, Callum. This leads to the two of them entering into a fake marriage. Callum is trying to get the town matchmakers off his back. Sophie wants to prove to her brother that she is settling down.

I loved reading how Sophie and Callum slowly fall in love. Sophie is hard to resist with her sassy funny comebacks. Despite having his own demons, Callum truly is a caring husband to Sophie, whether the marriage is fake or not. The ending! Grab your tissues!

“… you painted my cold dead heart in so much color, all I could think, see, feel was you.”

𝗜 can't believe we’ve reached the end of the 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀. I'm really going to miss the quirky town and its fun, unforgettable characters.

"𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝘁" follows Sophie and Callum. Callum is the new sheriff in town and the "fantastic 4" are determined to set him up with the local ladies, despite his reluctance to fall in love again. Sophie, on the other hand, returns to town after facing setbacks in the big city. Struggling to figure out her next steps, she finds herself accepting a marriage of convenience with the grumpy sheriff as a distraction from her problems.

𝗜 absolutely loved diving into this book. Sophie's chaotic nature made her an endearing character, and her hilarious dynamic with the broody Callum was so much fun to read. The theme of found family added an extra layer of warmth to the story. If you're a fan of marriage of convenience plots and small town charm, this book is a must-read. And if you adore lighthearted romance, the Loverly Cave series is definitely worth exploring!

𝗔 special thank you to 𝗗𝗮𝗶𝘀𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗻 and 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗮 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 for providing me with an early reader's copy. All opinions expressed here are my own.

I do not want to leave this place

I dont even know where to start right now. Does it have to be over? I’ve loved this perfect fictional place so SO much over the past two years. And it has given me so much. Great conversations, deliciously grumpy bookboyfriends, fierce bookgirlfriends and real friendship I now cant imagine being without in my life.

This is the perfect ending to the series though.
Collum is SO grumpy and stubborn and Sophie is the best kind of colorful chaos i have ever read. She resonates within me so whole heartedly. Their story is so tender and cautious, at the same time as it is hot and explosive, dont even get me started on those texts! Woha Collum has a mouth on him !!🥵🥵

Daisy gives us a laugh out loud rom-com, and the way she writes it the chaos and confusions comes jumping out of the pages. its just great. I love our crazy nannies, Fanny in my heart forever!!

If you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting these couples, Daisys writing or the Fantastic Four yet, you are really missing out, but in for a treat

This was the final book on the series and I’m a little sad it’s over. It’s always nice to stay within the same town and have other members of the series pop up every now and then. In my opinion, I think the books definitely got better as they went on as there was a part of me that didn’t want to continue after the first one. But we prevailed and I’m so glad we did!

This one follows grumpy, new Sheriff Callum (Clover) who has returned to Loverly Cave after decades away with a dark cloud hanging over his head. To avoid the interfering from his noisy neighbours, he convinces Sophie to fake marry him for a year. But our girl is the yin to Callum’s yang.

Sophie escaped her dull, city life to join her friend Grace in her charming town to get the colour and fun back. Where her brother thinks she’s reckless, she sees Callum’s offer as a way to prove she can settle down and start again.

This grumpy x sunshine / fake marriage trope was always going to be a winner. Especially when Sophie unintentionally thaws Callum’s ice block of a heart with her screaming and hockey games and drunken karaoke in the town’s water fountain. You knew these town would fall for each other despite all the jibes they shared and I very much appreciated the text messages from our boy. The mouth!

I love the entire Loverly Cave Series it’s definitely in my top 10 of series. I loved the two main characters. Sophie the MFC leaves her corporate job in NYC & after a brief mental breakdown moves to Loverly Cave where her best friend lives. She is hilarious, an unpredictable ray of sunshine, & bound to bring some color & excitement to her life. The MMC Callum or “Clover” is a grumpy sheriff who consumes himself with his job, and never lets loose, & is harboring some past trauma he hasn’t moved on from. They meet when he is on a disturbance call & literally busts her door down only to find Sophie screaming at the TV while watching a hockey game! This begins the hilarious banter & wild ride of their fake marriage! This is my new favorite couple. The chemistry between these two characters was off the charts! And the mouth on this man! This did not disappoint & I’m not ready for this series to be complete.
I received this book as an ARC & was asked to leave an honest review. I definitely recommend not only this book, but the entire series! Thank you to @daisythornauthor & @lunaliterary.management for the opportunity.

I loved this Final Book in the Series!
I fell in love with the small, quirky and magical town of Loverly Cave in the book "Barefoot Dreams" so I was excited to jump into this one too!

Sophie Levidis has lost herself and she wants..no, needs a new start. She quits her job, cuts off her lovely hair, clothes and even panties and reunites with her best friend who lives in Loverly Cave.

Her first interaction with town Sheriff Callum/Clover doesn't go down so well and he finds her too loud, too colourful... annoying..a brat and a menace.

When the meddling moms and grannies don't let up it trying to fix him up with date after date. He comes up with a brilliant plan! Ask Sophie to marry him in order to get them off his back!

Sophie agrees and things quickly change for them both! The chemistry was serious and when they finally had their moment?
🔥🔥

It was great seeing past characters again, the banter was so entertaining and the town chats were hilarious as usual.

If you haven't read this series, honestly, give it a try!

Many thanks to author Daisy Thorn and Luna Literary Management for this lovely eARC!

The Proposal Pact is the final book in her Loverly Cave series!! Loverly Cave is a silly little town with meddling parents, hippies, and magic! Everyone knows everyone and everyone is in everyone’s business 😂 This book follows Julie’s brother Callum, he’s come back to town and is the new sheriff. Sophie is Grace’s best friend and after leaving a toxic workplace she moves to LC. Sophie is chaos personified and Callum prefers quiet solitude. Callum’s parents and all the other meddling adults in town are trying to set Callum up. They want him to fall in love and get married, so he proposes a fake marriage to Sophie so that everyone will leave him alone. Sophie wants to prove to her brother she’s a stable adult after leaving her job and moving across the country, so she’s in! Callum is positive he won’t catch feelings and that he hates how crazy Sophie is, but they’re so cute and feel at ease with one another immediately. They have such good chemistry and are really adorable!! I loved how protective and jealous Callum was! So hot!! Such a great ending to this series!!

First off i would like to thank Luna & Daisy for the opportunity to read & review this gifted E-Arc.

Sophie & Callum
Oh gosh. You guys 😭! I absolutely loved everything about it. I just freaking adore Sophie and her chaos, i also love that she wasn't afraid to be herself or to stand up for herself when she needed too. I absolutely adore Callum and his grumpy self. I loved watching him come to life and the fact that he thought he knew what he wanted outta life till Sophie showed him otherwise. The banter between these two was straight up gold and had me giggling the whole time. Seeing them get the happily ever after they truly deserve was beautiful.

5/5 Recommend this book. Y'all daisy really out here doing her thing with these books. This whole series is so good. Its heartfelt and light hearted. If you haven't read the series yet go do it now. This was the perfect way to end the series and i will miss them 😭.

Oh how is this the end of Loverly Cave!? Damn I’m going to miss this place and all the people in it.
Callum and Sophie were absolutely amazing! I was sucked in straight away and did not want to stop reading.
Callum - what an MMC - fierce, protective, lost and so loveable - when you finally hear his story your heart goes out to him, him finding Sophie is just perfect for him (she is honestly everything he didn’t know he needed)
Sophie - such an amazing FMC - she is funny, chaotic, colourful and a little lost herself (not as much as her Clover though) she needed Loverly Cave (thanks Grace) and she felt at home straight away. I loved her colourful outlook on life too.
I laughed and I cried - what a ride!
I’m so sorry to say goodbye to Loverly Cave - 6 books with 6 very different characters but still such amazing people.
Thank you so much to Daisy and the team at Luna for this eARC in exchange for my honest review

I just love the Loverly Cave series by Daisy Thors and this one was no different!
They're all quirky, funny, sometimes even ridiculous, but in the best way. You get all the small town vibes, big families and found families, meddling moms/grannies, tons of schemes and shenanigans, great banter and - let's not forget - Willa's potions. This is the perfect escapism in a form of book!
And it's always so heartwarming to follow the journey of two lost and a bit broken individuals - how they find themselves, learn how to let someone else into their lives and allow themselves to be happy and in love. Callum simply needed this colorful hurricane in a form of Sophie to enter and re-arrange his life. And the little menace needed her Shrek to truly be herself.

And I have to say - I absolutely loved how all three of Daisy Thorn's series perfectly lined up here and I (not so secretly) hope that it means we'll get the second book in hockey series soon!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

This is quite bittersweet. I can't believe that it's already the end of the Loverly Cave series. This is my favorite book of the series. Thank you Daisy Thorn for this beautiful ending.

Sophie, Callum and the Loverly Cave family found me at the right time. I've been stuck in a colourless world for weeks now and this story brought me so much laughter and joy. I was giggling, kicking my feet and wishing I was living in this small town.

Daisy's books always uplift my mood, so if you're looking for a light hearted, feel good story packed with emotional depth, I highly recommend the LC series.

ARC REVIEW
Daisy did it again—this was a masterpiece. From the first sentence to the very last, I was hooked and completely in love with their love story.
Sophie, in the middle of an early mid-life crisis, moves to Loverly Cave to finally start living for herself. Then comes Callum—literally barreling into her door—the grumpy sheriff of the town. Intrigued by this strange, hockey-obsessed woman, Sophie quickly finds herself in the middle of small-town meddling. With her brother dismissing her worries and the townspeople constantly interfering in Callum’s love life, the two agree to a fake arrangement with “no feelings attached.” But of course, nothing goes as planned.
Between Callum’s daily dirty texts, Sophie’s openhearted and understanding nature, and their undeniable chemistry, resisting each other becomes impossible.
I adored Sophie—her humor, her warmth, and her bond with the girls kept me laughing nonstop. And Callum? The bar scene with him and the guys had me howling. Their banter, their teasing, the pure magic of that friend group—I need more of it. Above all, Callum’s devotion to Sophie stole the show. He would do absolutely anything for her, no question.
This book was everything: heartfelt, hilarious, and undeniably swoony. Daisy never misses.
