Can a sadist ever truly feel redeemed? And can his love for the one who taught his heart how to beat survive all odds—even the multitudes she herself contains?

When Domhnall looks at his fiancée, he sees the love of his life—sweet, steady Anna. But when she stares back, sometimes it's not Anna at all.

It’s Mads. Sharp-tongued. Chaotic. The first girl who ever made him feel seen. And now she wants him back—in every filthy, feral way imaginable.

But what do you do when you're in a love triangle with two women sharing a single body and a single heart. Not to mention a single history carved with secrets that enmesh all three of you in a darkness you haven't even yet begun to understand.

Anna swears she doesn’t mind sharing.

But how long can three people survive in one love story before something shatters?

He thought he could love them both. He was wrong.

Because Mads doesn’t share.

She split to survive. Now the pieces may just tear them all apart.

This is the sequel to 7 Days and the final book in the Carnal Games Series. Reading 7 Days first would make for the most enjoyable reading experience. Stasia Black

92 books2,117 followers
Stasia was born in Georgia, grew up in Texas, recently spent a freezing five-year stint in Minnesota, and now is happily planted in sunny California, which she will never, ever leave.

She loves writing, reading, listening to podcasts, and has recently taken up biking after a twenty-year sabbatical (and has the bumps and bruises to prove it). She lives with her own personal cheerleader, aka, her handsome husband, and their teenage son. Wow. Typing that makes her feel old. And writing about herself in the third person makes her feel a little like a nutjob, but ahem! Where were we?

Stasia’s drawn to romantic stories that don’t take the easy way out. She wants to see beneath people’s veneer and poke into their dark places, their twisted motives, and their deepest desires. Basically, she wants to create characters that make readers alternately laugh, cry ugly tears, want to toss their kindles across the room, and then declare they have a new FBB (forever book boyfriend).

Frankly, I went into this sequel to 7 Days with more than a little trepidation. After everything Anna/Mads and Domhnall had endured, I couldn’t imagine piling on more trauma, and part of me wanted to leave them with the fragile happy ending of the first book. But Stasia proved me completely wrong in the best way possible. Not only did she deepen their story, but she made it even more powerful, even more unforgettable. Yes, there’s angst. Yes, there’s trauma. But every single page feels earned, and the payoff is worth every moment of tension. The most fascinating part of this novel for me was the dynamic between Anna and Mads and the way they wrestle for control of Anna’s body and their shared life. While the idea of multiple alters isn’t new to me, I’ve never really considered what it would mean in a committed relationship. Stasia captures it brilliantly: Domhnall slowly learns to tell Anna and Mads apart, but it still feels almost like a polyamorous relationship… with just two people. Their intimacy becomes even more layered because of it. Anna often retreats during the steamy moments, leaving Mads to revel in passion with Domhnall. Domhnall himself holds back his darker instincts when he’s with Anna, instincts that Mads desperately wants him to unleash. The contrast between Anna and Mads is sharp yet heartbreaking: Anna, the tender and loving one, shouldering all the emotions; Mads, the wild child, craving pain as much as pleasure and resisting love even as she longs for it. Both of them, are afraid in their own way —Anna of nearly everything, Mads of being truly loved for herself. The journal as a tool of communication between them was a brilliant touch, though it was frustrating (in the best, most realistic way) that Mads revealed so little about their past. When those shadows finally catch up, Mads takes over and runs, only for Anna to “wake up” miles from home, furious enough to make a snap decision that changes everything. One of the most chilling, thought-provoking threads in the book was the concept of forced integration. It certainly scared the hell out of me. Yet, even as Anna enjoys her new-found self, feeling whole for the first time in her life, it only takes a moment, a danger to her life, for Anna to realize Mads wasn’t the only alter sharing her life. And Red doesn’t play nice. In fact, she doesn’t play at all. Compared to the first book, Domhnall sometimes feels a bit more in the background. He’s still her rock—steady, loving, supportive, and certainly present in the steamy scenes, but much of the action shifts to Anna and Mads (and eventually Red) as they face the threat head-on. That shift didn’t weaken the story for me; if anything, it made it richer, showing how this fractured, fiery trio of selves could come together in a crisis. The ending tied everything together beautifully. It left me hopeful that Anna, Mads, Domhnall, and Connor can finally claim the peace and happiness they so desperately deserve. Stasia didn’t just meet my expectations for a sequel—she shattered them.

This is Book 4 in the series "Carnal Games." It is NOT a sweet or lighthearted read; it’s graphic, dark, and emotional. The story explores harsh realities and how the mind can shatter to survive. It is definitely an adult, mature read filled with many erotic moments. I highly suggest that you read the trigger warnings before diving in, as I don’t list them all.

Wow! Hold on tight as you navigate this in-depth book that deals with split personality disorder and other mental illnesses. Expect themes of love triangles, abuse, violence, kidnapping, BDSM, human trafficking, graphic violence, and much more!

This book continues the series, picking up with the main characters from "Cherry Auction," which was later renamed "Seven Days." It may be a bit confusing, so I thought it was essential to point this out. I cannot stress enough the importance of reading "Seven Days" first.

Brooke, who once lost her memory and went by that name, now knows she is Anna. And is back home with fiancé Domhnall Callaghan after being away getting therapy for her mental illness of split personality. Anna, a quiet, gentle, wholesome, and earnest personality. Who is sensitive and loving towards Domhnall, her Domhn. Always feeling like she’s not enough compared to her alternate Madison (Mads). And Mads, a dangerous, wild, reckless, and demanding personality. Mads is tired of sharing Domhnall, her Donny, with Anna. Mads knows and craves his dark hunger like gentle Anna never could. She was his “Pet” and wants to be again. They both had agreed to share their body and stay with him.
If you read the first book, you learn about Anna's horrific childhood and how Mads stepped in to protect her. You also discover the special relationship that Domhnall had with both Anna and Mads (unknowingly). They all endured a terrible, abusive childhood, both physically and sexually, and Domhnall experienced his own brutal upbringing.

Despite their efforts to hide, danger finds Anna and Mads once again. Kozlov’s evil influence threatens not only Anna and Mads but also the only man they have ever loved.

Enter Red: cold, calculating, and merciless—the protector. Yes, blood will flow. I’m so excited for you to read this book!

You will learn more about Giuseppe and Marco, the D'Angelo brothers, and the Librarian from the Librarian Corporation, from which the three originally came. Other characters of interest include Dr. Ezra, Matilda Sheffield, the evil Mikalai, Kozlov, and many more. Most importantly, there’s ETHAN! Many secrets await you as you read this story, along with some beautiful surprises and a very happy ending.

Anna and Mads both love Domhnall passionately, obsessively, and single-mindedly. If you enjoy delving into the psychology of how we can be broken and shattered, you will love this book.

Ultimately, Anna and Mads realize that they are both complete, both necessary, and both loved exactly as they are. For the first time in their lives, they feel whole.

“We are whole, we are home, we are loved.” ❤️

An Extraordinary Love Triangle

I've been waiting for the sequel to Anne and Domhnall's upsetting story (7 Days, previously Cherry Auction) and once again it had me hooked from the first to the last page. It's a dark BDSM romantic suspense with tortured leads, split personalities and a love triangle that is hard to follow at first and that leads to lots of inner conflict, tension, lies, secrets and deception, but is ultimately just what everyone involved needs.
Anna is anxious and often overwhelmed, but also Domhnall's haven of peace and redemption, whilst he is her anchor. Mads is wild and reckless and allows no emotions, she needs Domhnall's dominance and sadistic streak to feel and he can live out his inclinations with her. At first Anna and Mads seemed a bit like Jeckyll and Hyde to me, but both have their strengths and weaknesses that balance each other out. There are lots of explicit power exchange scenes with all kinds of kinks, violence, but also tender and emotional moments, a few surprising twists, action and danger as the protagonists have to learn to accept their unusual relationships and overcome the dangers and shadows of their past.

I strongly recommend reading "7 Days" (book 1 of the series) first and taking the author's trigger warnings seriously. The plot also runs partly parallel to the 3rd installment of the series if you want more backstories.

Overall, a very intriguing and stirring plot with lots of emotion, spice, violence, danger and action that I am happy to recommend!

Coming together by MeemsAngel82

Stasia has done it again! This is such a complex piece of writing, I am beyond impressed that anyone could not only bring up a very sensitive topic, but truly delve into the pain and complications and the very real feelings a dual personality can bring on. Please, for your own mental health read triggers on books. I'm not one for sharing and though it is one body, it is more than one personality occupying the same vessel. So it makes things complex and beings on complicated feelings.

They love him and only him, but their conflicts and past feels like too much.

Talk it out. Always important in any relationship. Don't ever brush your or your partner's feelings aside. Open communication is so important. Stasia writes complex stories. There is talk of other partners and that is something I'm not comfortable with, it doesn't concern our leads but rather their family and friends who are present for their story. I truly felt like more than one woman was with this man and it is true and a real thing with split personalities. Trauma was apart of all of their pasts and that comes very much into play as well. Make no mistake, this is thorough. And emotional and steamy and powerful. They get their HEA but what a hard battle it was. The important thing is that they made it and through it all they had one another. Again, please take those triggers seriously, this was amazing and daring. But also a heartbreaking experience that thankfully healed.

This is an incredible story of love so deep it hurts. Domhnall loves Anna. Domhnall also loves Mads. She happens to be the same person. Over the years Anna has developed a split personality and tends to slip back and forth between personalities whenever faced with different emotions or situations. Anna is loving, tender, and caring. Mads is unhinged, aggressive and very sexual. They both love Domhnall in their own ways. Anna doesn’t mind sharing while Mads is predatory over him.
Both Domhnall and Anna/Mads have had very difficult childhoods and lives overall and unfortunately the past has decided to make itself known again. There are so many plot twists, turns, and action that keep you heavily engaged in the story. It is a definite page turner.
This is the fourth book in the Carnal series. If you haven’t read the others written prior, I highly recommend it. We are first introduced to our MCs in the first book of the series, “7 days” (formerly Cherry Auction.) You will need to read the backgrounds from the characters to fully comprehend what is going on in this story.
There are many trigger warnings for this entire series. Please consult the author’s website if this is something you look for. I recommend this novel for mature audiences only due to sexual content and violence.
I received this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I'm going to miss the characters from this series. It was nice to see them get a satisfying ending though. I have to be honest about Domhnall and Mads/Anna not being my favorite couple in the series. The relationship between them just never felt more than surface level to me. So much of it was based on the relationship they had as teens, and, to me, it just felt like it didn't really progress beyond having loved each other a decade ago and still centering their relationship on that and the guilt they felt from everything that happened since

I still enjoyed the story, but just wasn't as invested in their relationship as I was probably supposed to be because, honestly, their relationship was pretty boring and relied heavily on sex to build closeness

This was a good book, but I kinda wish we'd gotten a book about Marcus and Quinn instead.

Fascinating Characters!

Dual is book 4 in the Carnal Games series. Do not start here. You really need to start with book 1, Seven Days. Even though this is a direct continuation of Domhnall and Anna’s story, I would also recommend waiting to read this until you have also read book 2 and 3. There will definitely be spoilers for those books if you read out of order.

Having gotten to know the characters and events in the previous books I was thrilled to go deeper into the minds of these broken, tormented and determined characters. There was plenty of action, suspense and quite a few surprises!

I am hoping there will be a couple more books to this series as there are some more secondary characters that have really grabbed my attention. I have read many books by Stasia Black and they are always an exciting and satisfying read!

The perfect conclusion to this series.

This is book 4 in the Carnal Games series and it continues Domhnall and Brooke's story, i recommend reading the books in order.

I won't ever stop recommending this series. This has been one of my favorites by Stasia Black and it just seems to get better. The mental health representation continues to be a theme of importance in this book as in the others and I'm all for it. If you're familiar with this series then you know there are intense themes please check TW.

What do you do when you're in love with two women who share the same body?
Their's is a complicated love story to put it mildly. Domhn loves all of them. Anna/Mads find they are complete.
With so many obstacles they work through this story is emotional, intense, and just beautiful.

Dual is book four of the Carnal Games Series.

There is a lot jam packed into this book. We get to see how Mads and Anna have been working together while being in a relationship with Domhn. To say they are working together might be stretching the truth a bit. Anna is so deeply in love that she is willing to do what is necessary so she can stay with him. Meanwhile, Mads seems to have something she is hiding from everyone, but we aren't sure what it exactly is. She also seems to be constantly threatening Anna with running away.

There are a lot of twists and turns and edge of your seat moments. I was rapdily reading to see where we were going to go next. This was a fantastic showing of multiple personalities and it was interesting to see their different views of certain things.

I loved the first book that introduced us to Domhnall and Anna/ Mads with the split personality disorder. It's great to read where they are in their lives, where she went when she disappeared in the last book. It's well written with the different personalities Anna has, the way the try to keep her safe and protect her and protects him too from the dangers coming after them. The story goes is in-depth into the relationships they all have and how they deal with her split personality disorder together and separately. A captivating story of the past coming full circle, Anna and Donny healing and their loves just grows stronger. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the fourth book in the Carnal Games series. It’s a more in-depth story about Anna/Mads, her attempts to integrate her fractured self, and the final resolution of her and Domhnall’s pasts. I wasn’t sure if I wanted more of their story as it ended happily enough in the first book. The first part moved a bit slowly for me but the rest more than made up for it. There was a depth to their relationships (it’s a tricky love triangle!) that emerged and strengthened as Domh was the rock for Madanna’s differing needs. Although Anna’s character grew the most, Domh learning trust & patience was huge. This couple is now one of my favourites. I loved the faster paced action that revealed and hid quite a few revelations that rounded their story out perfectly.

Book four of Carnal Games, the sequel to 7 Days, comes back to Domhnall and Anna/Mads.
Check those trigger warnings, this is an intensely dark and heavily emotional story. It has violence, trauma from both main characters, BDSM, and a very complicated love triangle due to the FMC’s dual personalities. This book definitely held my attention with its fast-pace. Action, lots of mysteries and twists that bring secrets to the light, and plenty of steam between our two MC’s. If you thought Domhnall and Anna/Mads went through the wringer for their HFN story in 7 days, just wait, Dual says “hold my beer” and throws you on the gravitron in mid spin!!.

This is the fourth and final installment of the Carnal Games series as well as a continuation of the book 7 Days.
It continues with the story of Domhnall and Anna (formerly known as Brooke). I really enjoyed this series mainly because of the dark aspect, but I really loved the character of Mads. Mads is Brooke/Anna's alter ego (or is Anna the alter ego?) She's tough as nails and a little crazy. Both Mads and Anna really love Donny and their entire relationship is complicated.
There's a ton of spice, a lot of character development from the first book and the chemistry is phenomenal.
Definitely recommend!.

I have been anxiously awaiting the continued story of Domhnall, Anna, and Mads' story since I read 7 Days (or its old name, Cherry Auction). This is a love triangle like no other. Anna and Mads are very different women, but they share one important thing besides their fiancé: they share a body. This story is more than a love story, but that of a woman suffering from dissociative identity disorder, 2 women's need to be free, and what happens when they stop working together. This, like the rest of the series, has possible triggers, so check the warnings.

Dual by Stasia Black is the completion story of Domhnall and Anna. Things have changed drastically for them…all of them. She has morphed into something new, unusual, and different. Domhnall is desperately trying to keep it all together. Anna is just…dealing…

So many truths find their way into this story, your mind and heart will be spinning!! There are so freaking many twists and turns that the shock value alone will keep you heavily invested!! None of this is predictable in any way…things are twisted, crazy, macabre, and oh…so….good!!!! Freaking excellent read!!! Fantastic ending to this wild story!!!!

Where will Stasia leads Domhnall, Anna and Mads next?
I’ve been caught up in this series from the start of lost lost and found and a whole lot more to it from the beginning. I was eager to see how Dom managed with Anna’s split personalities, and wasn’t disappointed with his handling of them. Yet Anna surprised me with her need to take control, while Mads continued to keep their past hidden. Yet all good things come to an end when Mads and Anna’s past threatens everything, and you will be surprised what comes from the situation in more ways than one. Here’s hoping for a happily ever after that will be definitely hard fought!

When I picked up this series, I knew it was not sunshine and rainbows. This is taking that unconventional darker ride. The challenges these characters face is mind blowing, the successes they find is heartwarming but the adaptation they take on is fascinating. The way stasia writes this complicated maze of story is brilliant. Mind your triggers but this series is so worth opening your mind and taking a chance on something different or maybe new. I fell in love with all the characters for their own strengths, weaknesses and ability to blend to all exist as a cohesive group. Enjoy!.

Integration.
This was a wonderful conclusion to this series. Trying to empathize with Anna/Mads/Red and Domhnall was an emotional rollercoaster ride. At times, some of the themes around abuse, sadism and dissociative personality disorder were quite uncomfortable -yet really shed light on why characters thought/did certain things. For all the darkness involved in this story it was heartwarming to see the light and deeper connections between this couple emerge victorious in the end.

Is this really the end of the series? What started in book 1 with Anna, Mads and Domhnall continues, with supporting appearances from other series characters too. What more can I say other than if you've read the first 3 books in the series you need this one to wrap everything up for duo/trio. Dark, sexy, dangerous, sweet and loving, filthy and feral, secrets, mental health struggles and plenty more. Another fabulous read by Ms Black.

I've enjoyed this series and this is the best book yet; I didn't want to put it down. The story is hot, steamy and makes for compulsive reading. You'll find it hard to put down. But be warned, these books aren't for the faint of heart.

The author has built a world that seems totally unbelievable, but makes it feel real. I don't want to spoil any of the surprises, so I'll say read them for yourself and see what you think.

Together Again

This conclusion to Anna/Madison and Domhnall’s story was intense, action-packed and complex. Navigating through multiple personalities and danger while simultaneously trying to maintain love for one another was a brilliant addition to this story. I did not want to put it down as it evokes so many different emotions that were satisfying to read. Or to mention that the twists and turns surprised me more than I expected.

Dual is the conclusion to the Carnal Games series, and I recommend you start this series from book one to fully understand what is going on. Domhnall and Anna/Mads's crazy twisted journey continues, and boy does it take some dark and twisted turns. A man in a love triangle with two women in one body, and he never knew who he would be talking to at any moment. Great writing, interesting characters, and so much more in this fabulous conclusion. I recommend this book, this series, and this author to everyone who loves to read great books. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

This was a good series and you should read the books in order to get the gist of what is going on. You also get other people’s view on things that crossed over between all the books. Reading this made me think of the movie Splinter. I got a lot of respect for Anna/Mads cause they were bad ass to do some of the stuff they did. But also kinda sad with the ending cause was hoping to get a couple more stories of the group.

I cannot imagine having more than one personality, but Stasia Black does an amazing job of describing it. This is not an easy story to read and some of Red’s actions are hard to read. There are some steamy scenes, but there is no sweetness and light even with Anna. There is a lightening of intensity at the end when the whole family is together and it is very sweet which enables the reader to breath again and know that there is hope.

Anna and Mads are a twisted mix of sweet and take-charge. Where one struggles, the other excels. The issue is that they are the same being, and sometimes one is left in the dark! I couldn't put the book down. I loved all the aspects of their character and all the new unknowns! Their struggles bring even more chaos to their lives. I am sad the story is at an end, but what an ending.

Mind-blowing continuation of Anna/Mads and Domhn's story. Once more the darkness of this series beckons my attention to the suspense and the 2 personalities that battle for Domhn's love and attention. I was caught completely off guard by the twists in this book Ms.Black is good at putting a spin or two Into her stories that keeps her readers glued to the pages.

Dual: a Split Personality Love Triangle Romance. This is the last book in the Carnal Games series. Domhnall and Mads/Anna’s story continues.

Anna/Mads are the same person with split personality. They are the light and the dark. It’s amazing how and why they come out. Domhn is in a triangle with two women and only one body. Who is going to come out and play Anna or Mads?

I loved this book and series. I do love Stasia Black’s imagination! Very good, Stasia Black, Very good!!!!

WOW! Intense & just wow! I won’t lie I get have to skip through some of Mads & Donny’s dark sex scenes - they were a little too much for me at times. I really didn’t like Mads & her manipulation way of taking over Anna but I understood her person. Just wanted Anna & Domhnall to find their way through everything. Totally one of my top series!
