Captain Jason Burke and his crew are used to danger, but nothing prepares them for the terror stalking the stars.
A savage killer, born from twisted science and driven by vengeance, leaves a trail of butchered victims across remote worlds.
When Omega Force is drawn into the hunt, they uncover a secret that threatens not just their lives but the lives of thousands of innocents. With a predator who knows no mercy, Jason must confront his past and a truth that could destroy everything he’s fought for. In a galaxy where trust is a luxury, can Omega Force outrun the hunter—or will they become the hunted?
I've read many of Joshua Dalzelle's books and they are consistently very entertaining with wonderful plot twists and characters. However, they are all also riddled with typos that detract from the reading experience. They are unusual typos, too. Most are wrong verbs or verb tenses and this has been true from his first book to his most recent. I'm not sure what the problem is, but it needs to be fixed ASAP. When it is his books will all unequivocally deserve five stars.
I've been reading Syfi since the mid 1960s. With out a doubt Omega Force and Scout fleet are among the very best. I read the new books as soon as they hit the web. Then Order them when available on Audible. I read and listen to each one multiple times while waiting for the next one to be out. Please keep up the great stories Mr. Dalzelle....
You know when you watch a good tv series, with a big over-arching story line? Sometimes they'll throw an episode in that doesn't have anything to do with what's going on. It doesn't make it a bad story, just standalone, almost filler.
I felt like this was that book. It was much more centered on Jason, instead of "Omega Force". It also didn't have the same team dynamic the other books did, and even brought in "side characters".
Not a bad read at all, but think more snack than full meal. I think i'm more negative than I should be just because it takes roughly a year between books, and that builds excitement.
For me, this is the best book in the series thus far! You can see how much the group has matured from their origins and also see that Jason has legitimate fears about his own future moving due to an unknown threat and his own abilities (or lack thereof). Been a huge fan of the series since Omega Rising and always look forward to each new release! Thank you as always Mr Dalzelle!
Listen - my review 4/5 is only because I felt the story kept jumping back a little bit. Did I still blast through it and enjoyed the morsel of a new book. Absolutely. But I had wished there was a different outcome to Karrack. Trying to be vague on purpose. I will say I enjoyed a more serious version of a certain character who shows humility very sparingly. Still can’t wait for the next one.
Hunted is the strongest entry in the Omega Force series so far. The pacing is tight, the action is relentless, and there is a noticeable evolution in the team’s dynamic. The stakes feel higher, and the characters are tested in new ways that show real growth.
Dalzelle balances suspense and humour well, but what sets this one apart is the intensity. It feels like everything has been building to this. If you have followed the crew from the beginning, this book delivers in every way.
Again Mr. Dalzelle has written a masterpiece! Jason Burke is magnificent and his crew with help from old friends give a most exciting adventure. If not read the Omega Force series you are missing out on exciting adventures. Each one filled with adventure, excitement and great entertainment.
One word sums the book up, Awesome. This has to be one of the best Omega Force books to date. The Hunter and the Hunted. Someone from the past who bears a blood feud (it still goes on in some ignorant cultures today) against Jason and it takes all their resources to overcome. The ending made me smile
★★★★★ Great book! Can’t wait to read it again (and I will). ★★★★☆ Good book. I am glad I read this. ★★★☆☆ OK book. Nothing special but not bad. ★★☆☆☆ Not good. Why did I waste my time? ★☆☆☆☆ Lousy. I didn’t finish.
If for whatever reason, I go back and reread a good book, I will change the rating to five-star because I read it again.
Excellent! This series is one of my favorites but it does have some sore spots. Hunted is NOT one of them. This is a thrilling story that doesn't hang on an apocalyptic threat to drive the narrative, and it is as good as any in the series. I look forward to each story released and can't wait for the next in line. Highly recommended.
This series just keeps getting better and better. Jason has given us so much growth and maturity. From book one, he has gone through so many challenges and stays true to the man he is. I am really looking forward to seeing what's next.
Just when the bad guys think they are free and clear, Jason finally gets the upper hand. I love it! And I love this series. The writing is great and the descriptions are even better. It's like your right there. Well done Joshua!
I've been buying each and every Omega Force book since Omega Rising! Hunted is a new twist! The hunter becomes the hunted. Jason Burke will need all his allies, his wit, knowledge and personal power to live through this book!
…the poor editing. Lots of spelling and grammatical errors. Still the best series out there, by far. Doesn’t matter what I am reading when a new Omega Force hits Kindle, I drop it. But, poor editing? C’mon, Omega Force!
I have read the early Omega Force books twice. I read any of the new ones within a day or two of publication. They are all well written and fun books to read. It’s is enjoyable to have developed each of the characters and their behaviors. Great job by Josh.
Having been an avid reader of this series I wait eagerly for each instalment this one definitely did not disappoint. There was more focus on the lead character this time and the story unfolded beautifully.
This latest book in the series took a different turn from all other Omega Force books, it was more of a suspense thriller but in the end it came through and was worth it.
Another great story. Jason, Crusher and Lucky have met their match. The hunters become the hunted as the title suggests. But as we learn, there is ulterior motive behind the perfect hunter. You will have to read it to find out more.
Omega Force Hunted is answered many questions, but left many more unresolved. I need to know how Jason and Voq will maintain their precarious relationship without putting the entire galaxy in peril! Cannot wait for the next installment of Omega Force!
Joshua Dalzelle does another great job. At some point I keep thinking king he's going to have an off day when it comes to his books, but he continues producing entertaining stories.
I enjoy reading an Omega Force story when I want to read about heroes fighting malevolent elements in the universe. The only problem was I could not turn off my proofreading habits in this digital book full of errors. Please fix them.
