Space Crush: Houston, Ignitions Are a Go

Rate this book
NASA safety specialist Kaley Parker embraces protocol. Systematic rules and regulations keep astronauts on Earth and in space out of harm’s way. They also safeguard her own heart.

That is, until a co-worker makes an excellent case for spontaneity with an after-hours kiss.

Systems engineer Evan Mitchell loves thinking outside of the box. His creative approach helps him analyze, evaluate, and build NASA’s next wave of space exploration technology.

Too bad it fails to help him figure out why a certain safety specialist is ghosting him after their impromptu make-out session.

Between Kaley’s on-going risk assessment and helping Evan out of an unstable situation due to his original approach, Kaley figures her strict adherence for standard procedures is well founded.

Especially when she’s left publicly exposing more than just her feelings at NASA’s Youth at Work festival.

But when Evan’s unconventional thinking rescues her from an embarrassing situation, and the balance of risk versus reward tips in the heat of their embrace, can these two finally achieve mission success?

Or will protocol declare failure as their only option?

*Space Crush is a sexy NASA workplace romcom featuring an optimistic Lunar Rover engineer living his best life who falls first for a no nonsense safety specialist who may or may not need rescuing from a moon bounce and a wardrobe malfunction.

STEM FMC: safety engineer, STEM MMC: systems engineer, both work at NASA. Super quick novella in the Space series. If you hate the miscommunication trope, then skip this one. Novellas are hard to write I think because you have such little time to build any sort of chemistry in the story. Their connection didn’t seem believable to me, but that’s because we had no time to see it before the miscommunication took over. There is a spicy scene in there as well.

Lookin' for a 'quickie'?

Now, now get your mind out of the gutter. In this instance, it's a short novella featuring characters in the Houston Space Program.

This author gets it right. There's always a balance of humor and romance.
It'll whet your appetite for an future books she may pen (hopefully, in the near future).

Loved this!

I love coming back to the Space series! I love this story of Evan and Kaley! This is an adorable story of new love and some misunderstandings. I love these two together. And it was great visiting with the old space family too.

Short sexy novella with lack of communication at the center. Several silly parts.

Evan and Kayley - he's been crushing on her for a while. They went on a couple of great dates, but then she made an assumption about something she saw, and rather than communicate with him, she kept him at a distance. Classic.

This is a cute novella, with glimpses at the characters from the other Space Series books. If you ever need a breather between reads that are heavy and serious, this is a great choice.

I wish it were longer…

This short sexy sweet tale is still a hilariously fun read, and tells a pretty complete story of burgeoning romance though it could have been much longer. I loved this “world” in the previous books and always appreciate a return to NASA.
