Reality 2.0 by William Truax is a striking and thought-provoking exploration of the physical realities of science and the deeper mysteries of life. Truax challenges readers to reexamine the current scientific models and consider a “consciousness-first” model that he calls the Essentia Theory. Rather than rejecting traditional science or leaning solely on faith alone, he bridges the two with refreshing logic, clarity, and intellectual transparency.

In his own words, Truax states that his purpose is to “offer a new model of how the world works and to see if there isn’t a way to better resolve some of the mysteries and paradoxes offered up by quantum research. And, in the bargain, maybe we can shed some light on the human condition and how we work as people, and how we might revise our social sciences into a form that provides real solutions to some of the pressing issues of humanity.” His words reflect both the depth of his ideas and his genuine desire to educate and inspire readers who are curious about the nature of the universe.

What makes Reality 2.0 truly stand out is Truax’s ability to present complex scientific and philosophical concepts in language that is remarkably clear and simple. He translates abstract theories into practical, real-world insights without oversimplifying their depth or importance. Even when tackling the most challenging topics, Truax keeps the reader engaged with a writing style that is both straightforward and deeply compelling. This book succeeds in offering a captivating and unique perspective on how the universe truly works. For anyone seeking answers to these deep and complex questions, Reality 2.0 is an excellent read that will leave you thinking about life in entirely new ways.

Following in the grandest philosophical tradition, William Truax’s new book seeks to provide a new universal theory for how the world works through synthesizing breakthroughs in science, mathematics and philosophy.

Truax opens his book with an examination of classical physics and materialistic views of the universe. While these laid ground rules and best practices and allowed for the immense advances in technology and science that humanity saw within the last century, it was the arrival of quantum physics in the twentieth-century that would outdate these models. For quantum physics would prove that tenaciously held views on how the world works was only explaining part of it and not the totality.

However, the introduction of this quantum reality, as Truax argues, has still not produced a true re-thinking of reality that encompasses the new truths that advanced mathematics and quantum models have verified as existing. This is where Truax’s book steps in, to offer such a solution.

Reminiscent of previous philosophers such as Descartes and Hume, Truax’s model seeks to not just explain the physical and subatomic but to include such esoteric ideas as beauty, and seemingly unanswerable questions as: what is the purpose of life? Indeed, he argues, a model that cannot take into account both the physical and the metaphysical is an incomplete model. His universal hypothesis he calls the essentia theory and it takes into account physical reality, metaphysical reality and esoteric concepts in a way that does not presuppose the use of assumptions or workarounds to make the explanation work.

This is a bold, assertive book that holds intriguing conclusions and arguments and seeks to correct a problem plaguing mathematics and both physical and social sciences. It should get people thinking and talking as all great philosophical theories have done from time immemorial.

Love the Way Mr. Truax’s ‘Reality 2.0’ Offers Info & Hope, Education & Enlightenment

One of the key takeaways from ‘Reality 2.0’ is that William Truax wants the reader to expand horizons, to look beyond the grinding issues of life for a way see a higher purpose. Steadily, with foundation and purpose, the basis of his philosophy—Essentia—comes into fruition and offers a way to see how our supposedly modern world has buried us in confusing morass of mixed signals. With each word, sentence and paragraph, a feeling of intellectual and spiritual benevolence, without arrogance, shines brightly through until the final page.

He grounds the reader in scientific and philosophical precepts required for his ultimate watchwords, which are, in part, something akin to this quote from the book: ‘You’ll almost always have to go through or overcome some opposition or distraction to get where you want to go, and in doing so, will gain knowledge and experience. The bigger the barriers to overcome, the sweeter the victory. And the more life created by your victory, the more meaningful it is. The way things get better is if we make them better. If we don’t actively make them better, they get worse. Disorder is the keynote of this universe.’

Within the debate exists the struggle between the physical and spiritual worlds, how this all started, why we are here in this place and what is the meaning of it all? He bounces back and forth with two-mind clarity in order to give both sides a fair hearing, this quote highlights the paradox: ‘This makes sense when you look at how totally, fabulously, incredibly, absurdly, unimaginably unlikely it is for this universe just to exist or persist in any way. Any deviation whatsoever, no matter how inconceivably small (a trillionth of a trillionth of a trillionth of a bit), from the precise magnitude and interrelationships of the forces and components of this universe, and it would collapse instantly. It’s beyond unbelievable that it’s here at all. The fact that this universe is here and continues to exist makes winning the lottery twice a day, every day for twenty years straight, look easy and inevitable.’

My paltry explanation here does not do full justice to this engaging and powerful book, I benefited from reading it and will probably pull some quotes for my everyday use. A surprise section in the back of the book is More About Words, which offers interesting thoughts on clear and efficient communications.

REALITY 2.0 A Revolutionary New Look at the Universe and Life
‘From doubt to an intellectually sound, spiritually vibrant vision of reality’ – At last!

California author William Truax, a graduate of SUNY Fredonia with studies in music, physics, and philosophy, is a Native American privy to both Indian American and European American cultures, and enjoys a life as an athlete, musician, part-owner of a solar power business and financial management company, researcher, and author. Defining the title of this book – REALITY 2.0 – he states is ‘the evolution of human thought.’

For most readers, Truax’s book provides that sigh of relief that at last someone has provided an in-depth exploration of the meaning of life and reality by writing a compelling narrative that bridges science, philosophy, and personal insight, ‘aiming to offer a realistic explanation of the mysteries that have puzzled scientists and laypeople alike.’ One of the many reasons this book succeeds is the one-on-one conversational style of his prose: complex aspects of quantum physics, a keenly distilled history of human beliefs from the ancient Greeks to current philosophers that makes each stage of thought credible and cogitable, and a warmly challenging discourse on assisting critical thinking and incorporation of science and philosophy: ‘The primary reality of this universe is spiritual, not physical. The primary reality and orientation point of us and all around us is LIFE, not STUFF. Recognizing that opens the door to workable social sciences, happier lives and more complete sciences.’

Rarely has an author been able to explain science and philosophy with such an informed yet comprehensible manner as Truax. From quantum physics and other technology, reason and logic, philosophy as completely unified knowledge, materialism, creation theories, the essentia theory – every building block of knowledge is adroitly communicated, issuing an invitation to understand reality and the meaning of life.

This is a book to absorb and revisit, especially now during these trying times when chaos shadows our perceptions of everything. ‘Reality – the combined and compounded end result of mutual creation…because we all participate in this creation, the world belongs in large measure, to us.’ A truly must-read book!

Reality 2.0 lays out a sweeping attempt to rethink how the universe works, starting from the holes the author sees in modern science and expanding into a new model that blends physics, philosophy, and spirituality. It moves from the mysteries of quantum physics to the shortcomings of materialism, to the struggles of human life and society, and then offers a unified way of understanding reality and our place in it. The tone is welcoming and plainspoken, which makes some very big ideas feel surprisingly accessible.

As I read, I felt a mix of curiosity and skepticism, and this tug of war kept me engaged. Author William Truax writes with clear passion and a kind of earnest certainty that pulled me in. I appreciated how he talks about the limits of science without mocking it, and how he wants philosophy to rise again as a practical tool instead of something dusty and abstract. At times, I caught myself nodding along because the frustrations he points out, especially around communication, meaning, and the gaps in our current worldview, feel real and familiar. His blend of personal background and scientific curiosity adds warmth, and it gave me the sense that the book was written by someone who genuinely wrestled with these ideas rather than someone preaching a system from on high.

I often found myself wanting even more from the ideas because the scale of what the book tackles is so huge, and that sense of moving quickly over big questions actually kept the pace lively and exciting. Instead of slowing things down, the brisk movement through such profound topics made the whole experience feel energetic and fresh, and I stayed interested the whole way through. The writing has an inviting tone, and I liked that the author avoids jargon and keeps the language grounded. There’s an energy here, a sense of wanting to share an insight that mattered deeply to him, and that enthusiasm is contagious.

I’d recommend Reality 2.0 to readers who enjoy big, idea-driven books and don’t mind taking a ride that mixes science talk with spiritual curiosity. It’s especially suited for people who feel the gap between what we know and what we feel, and who like exploring new ways of bridging that divide. Even if you don’t agree with every conclusion, the book offers plenty to chew on and might nudge you into thinking about reality in a fresh way.

Law of Simplicity & Incompleteness Essential in William Truax’s ‘Essentia’ Look at Life

I thoroughly enjoyed William Truax’s book, ‘Reality 2.0: A Revolutionary New Look at the Universe and Life,’ for a number of simple reasons, and indeed it is ‘simplicity’ which follows the reader throughout this fascinating detective story. I use the term detective story because Truax builds on all sorts of discoveries, studies and beliefs in the manner of a keen investigator on the hunt. I thoroughly appreciated that path as I traveled with sub-atomic particles, inside wave lengths and to the core of our existence.

Tremendous amounts of work went into the creation, a good word to use, of ‘Reality 2.0,’ and I commend the author for his thoughtfulness and tenacity. I will not give away the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, but it involves Our, as in you and me, importance in ‘Creation.’

Something I found fascinating is that systems all have flaws and are unable to be truly authenticated. This quote from page 108 sums that up: ‘Gödel showed that systems that use logic and quantities cannot prove their own consistency using their own rules. He showed that any such system must contain statements that are both true and unprovable, thereby rendering that system incomplete. This means they can’t prove their own axioms. Why is this? If such a system were complete, it would be able to prove its own axioms. If such a system’s axioms could be proven, then any statement within that system could be proven. The fact that there must be, within any such system, statements that are both true and unprovable means that no system that uses logic and quantities can prove its own axioms. Therefore, the fact that all systems that use logic and quantities must contain statements that are true but unprovable means that all such systems are built on axioms that they cannot prove.’

There is so much knowledge to absorb and, when you come out the other side, I know you will be enlightened and have an altered view of the world. In the final stages, Truax gets to the heart of his new philosophy, called Essentia, and that puts the cherry on top of the pie. Taking a trip across the Universe on ‘Reality 2.0’ is a journey of discovery, I strongly urge others to get on board.

Amid the cacophony of everyday life, with family duties, work and all the other activities demanding your time, it’s hard to carve out moments to contemplate “The Big Questions.” Like “how did we get here?” Or “where do we go when we die?” Or “is there a God?
But in his new book, “Reality 2.0: A Revolutionary New Look at the Universe and Life,” author William Truax not only examines those questions but breaks them down into manageable thought processes to enable you to examine them. And he blazes a path for readers to not only find the answers but enables ways to use those answers to enhance the life you are living.
To do this, he takes the reader through the study of math and science and logic and how they can help to explain some of the answers to those big questions. He also veers into religion and clearly details how the whole philosophy of religion and morality serve as a backbone for life’s purpose and improving one’s quality of life.
“Essential Theory,” a phrase coined by William Truax in “Reality 2.0,” offers a more complete and practical explanation of reality than either traditional religion or science alone.
Truax’s background is ideally suited to take on the topics. He has found success in the fields of sports and music. He’s an entrepreneur with a successful solar power business and a financial management company. He’s self-educated in the field of law, studied philosophy and physics and brings a spiritual and nature-focused element he learned while growing up as a member of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe.
Truax unites science and spirit: Instead of choosing between logic and faith, Essential Theory uses both, offering a model that is logical, evidence-based, and spiritually meaningful.
By bringing together his incredibly diverse wealth of knowledge and experience, he is able to ruminate on topics many have a tough time even thinking about, let alone focusing on. But in the book, he details how when one begins to think about the hard questions and concentrate on the answers, it flows through to begin improving the life you have and go forward from there. Highly recommended.

A Must Read: Reality 2.0 by William Truax is Truly “A Revolutionary New Look at the Universe and Life”

If you have pondered the age-old questions about life, why we’re here, and what’s really real, Reality 2.0 is a book you should check out. William Truax takes big ideas from science and philosophy and explains them in a way that makes sense. He draws from his own life and scientific thinking to show why the usual ways of looking at the world, just believing in what you can see and touch, don’t answer the big questions about life.

Truax believes that religion and science both try to explain the universe, but neither goes far enough to answer the deepest questions about existence and meaning.

Truax actually coined the phrase "Essentia Theory" to describe his main idea. In simple terms, it means that reality isn’t just atoms and energy. There is something else, LIFE or spirit, that helps shape the world. We’re not just watching the universe; we’re part of making it happen.

What makes this book stand out is how Truax connects science and spirit. He doesn’t just criticize materialism, the idea that only physical things matter, and he doesn’t get lost in vague spiritual talk. Instead, he gives us a new way to look at things, where our choices and our minds actually matter. He backs up his ideas with real science, like quantum physics, but keeps it clear enough for anyone to follow.

Whenever someone questions the way things have always been, there will be people who disagree. I encourage anyone who enjoys thinking about life’s big questions, whether you’re into science, philosophy, or just curious about why we’re here, to give this book a try. It’s also a great pick for book clubs, since you’ll definitely want to talk about it with others.

Bottom line: Reality 2.0 will get you thinking about life in a new way. This is a must-read for anyone who wants to better understand themselves and the universe. I found it powerful and it’s still on my mind days after finishing it.

Observers of history have acknowledged the centuries-old debate between science-minded and faith-based philosophies. This has been the basis of books, intellectual debates and entertainment. I am reminded of the television show “Lost,” where two main characters debated their worldviews: Dr. Jack Sheppard as the “Man of Science” and John Locke as the “Man of Faith.” The two collided throughout the series, leaving one to wonder if the true meaning of life and explanations of truth come from an intertwining of both. Enter William Truax’s book: Reality 2.0.
Truax offers an open-minded look at both sides while juxtaposing the two in a way which both challenges and acknowledges the philosophical merits of both those who consider themselves people of “science” and “faith.” The author breaks down complex ideas stemming from belief and from technology through his own experiences and eyes with roots in both Native American and European American cultures, creating a bridge of understanding between the two, proving they are not mutually exclusive and with both merits as well as flaws. This opens the reader to look at and potentially re-think about what he or she has learned and observed through their own lives.
The author also delves into the major obstacle to both spiritual and intellectual fulfillment: materialism, which is blatant within our culture today. Truax, in a sincere and practical manner, exposes how the constant need for “stuff” keeps us as a society from learning what we really want to know about life and the world around us. Perhaps his book is a primer to life, its mysteries, logic as well as both a philosophical mirror and magnifying glass.
Reality 2.0 is an honest look at ourselves, the world and life in general. From perspectives to both life and scientific principles, Truax provides a rather engaging and entertaining read which both enlightens and inspires.

Book Will Make You Want to Transcend Your Stuff & Become a Creator

After reading ‘Reality 2.0’ I had a different perspective about all the useless ‘stuff’ that I have squirreled away in cupboards, closets, drawers and, well, just all over the place. Getting wrapped up in all our material possessions is a trap we all get caught up in to a certain degree, which in turn draws our focus away from what William Truax advocates for: ‘Creating More Life!, a term which has many layers of meaning.

Without going too deep, in essence he writes about how ‘Life Transcends Stuff’ and that in our own way, big or small, we all possess a ‘Creationist’ role in fashioning the world we live in.

I recently lost someone near and dear to me, and what irked me was that this person had the time and means to create an orderly, healthy and happy life, but instead the focus was on all the crap that had been collected over the years. And so that life became a never ending cycle of worrying about, organizing or trying to sell said crap and/or needlessly dealing with people who were sucking the precious energy out of his soul. This took place while I was in the midst of reading ‘Reality 2.0: A Revolutionary at the Universe and Life’ by William Truax, a fine book which went straight to a key aspect of what this personal tragedy symbolized.

After educating the reader about science and philosophy, we are warned not to get ‘trapped by our stuff’ and not to forget why we are here: ‘To Create More Life’ while trying to avoid becoming the ‘Custodians of Our Stuff.’ A tall order that we can only hope to partially accomplish, nonetheless a worthy goal. And our materialist world is filled with stuff, why do think those personal storage companies do so well, because we got too much stuff, and in a backdoor way it suffocates our spiritual lives.

Good Luck!!!

REVIEW OF REALITY 2.0
William Truax

As a reviewer of all different types of books, I have to admit that Reality 2.0 is a new one for me. Just the tagline hints at the type of book that I haven’t read before: “A Revolutionary New Look at the Universe and Life.” See what I mean? So where do I begin?

The big question is…what’s going to get us to a new reality? The author says that religion, philosophy, and hard science, each by themselves, will not do the trick. But they have provided us with the steps we need to move forward into a new reality.

How does the world work? It’s reason based on useful and accurate data, and then using logic to come up with the answers. It comes down to LIFE vs. STUFF. What does that even mean? Simply put, it’s creating against being created. To quote Truax: “It’s like trying to tune into two nearby different radio stations at the same time. You can get one or the other clearly, or you can get fuzzy reception of both, but you can’t get both clearly at the same time.”

Besides being incredibly interesting and very well researched, it’s also got some very pertinent quotes at the beginning of most chapters, from the likes of Einstein, Planck, Voltaire, Confucius, and many others. I also really liked the footnotes. When things got confusing, they helped to help us make sense out of what Truax was saying.

Is this confusing? Here’s what Truax says: “The fact that this universe is here and continues to exist makes winning the lottery twice a day, every day for twenty years straight, look easy and inevitable.”

I will leave you with one more quote: “The ultimate meaning of life is to overcome obstacles in order to create more LIFE.”

Reality 2.0 by William Truax discusses a revolutionary “consciousness-first” framework called Essentia Theory, which distinguishes the physical domain from “life”. Truax invites readers to step outside conventional structures and consider a new operating system for perceiving reality. The book’s premise is bold and wide-ranging: it asks not merely “what is real?” but “what if the version of reality we assume is outdated, and what might the next version look like?”

“The true nature of science isn’t so much about doing, making, or even proving things; it’s really about understanding things,” says Truax. “It’s not only about studies and experiments that try to discover new data and relationships; it’s about the theories and explanations that we come up with for these new data and relationships. Most of all, it’s about the organization of all this data into a meaningful and workable whole.”

Truax’s writing shows real courage in taking on big questions, such as “what is the meaning of life?” He doesn’t shy away from mystery, paradox, or the suggestion that our current models of reality are limited.

Reality 2.0 is a stimulating, thought-provoking read. It won’t answer all your questions about reality- and in fact, it may raise more- but that seems to be its point. It has much to offer for those willing to wrestle with big questions and walk into the gray zones of meaning. If you’re wanting to learn how to choose, navigate, and influence the reality you inhabit, this is the perfect read for you.

Revelatory Knowledge & Inspiration for a Better Life

In a manner of speaking Reality 2.0 is a self-help book, but it certainly exists within the realm of other genres like the intertwining of science, philosophy and real life. People make life more complex than it needs to be, getting themselves twisted in knots over issues that seem important but, in the grand scheme of life, are ephemeral nonsense. William Truax puts a mirror up to each one of us with watchwords to live by and the reasons why those precepts make sense.

My own struggles had already gotten me to a place where I pulled back from engaging in trivial fights and conversations, and Reality 2.0 offered fresh resolve that I was correct in a stance that many told me was offensive. They key is to not care but explain, and Truax will give you ammo to use when you tell someone, ‘Stop talking, I do not want to discuss this,’ or when you just hang up on them and maybe, yes maybe, decide to explain yourself at a later time.

William Truax has created a worthy book that will improve your emotional, physical and spiritual life. Simplicity is the key, orderliness the result, and creating more Life the Ultimate Goal. Reality 2.0 can be a fresh, bracing breeze through an open window to a better tomorrow, the key part of that phrase is ‘CAN BE’ because you must let it in for the magic to happen.

Take the Time to Digest This Book, You Will Not be Sorry in the Least

When I take the time and money to acquire a book, it is in the hope it will provide education and/or entertainment, but then there are also ancillary hopes like improving vocabulary or picking up on some conversational topics. ‘Reality 2.0: A Revolutionary New Look at the Universe and Life’ by William Truax filled all of the above plus offering enlightenment, or more precisely the gifts of illumination and hope in a blizzard of lamentable uncertainty.

Like any good book, the story is built on what went before. Here that means advances in human disciplines, going back thousands of years, which have searched for the meaning of life, for that life essence which Truax then distills into his own philosophy, Essentia. You won’t be let down or disappointed, indeed you will feel lighter on your feet as the world takes on different shapes and sizes.

William Truax has a fascinating personal story of his own, one that contributes to everything in a book that is worth keeping around after the initial consumption. Want to get pieces of philosophy, here it is, want to get pieces of science, here it is, want to find a healthier, happier, more purposeful path in life, here it is within the pages of ‘Reality 2.0.’

Reality 2.0’ is My Christmas Gift to All My Relatives & Friends, Hope it Helps Them!!

The last five years have been so crazy, ever since the Covid thing happened our world has gone out of whack like I never imagined, and it was already on thin ice. From reading history I know how fast the world can change, where one day or event will shift everything to dramatically that it is deemed a ‘Watershed’ moment. I believe Covid did that, and I also believe William Truax’s book, ‘Reality 2.0: A Revolutionary New Look at the Universe and Life,’ offers people some intellectual exercises and much needed spiritual sanity.

This holiday season, most of my relatives or friends are going to get a copy of the book, even if I have to covertly send it along without them knowing who it is from. There is so much angst and anger everywhere, just running errands has become a gut churning affair. Being frightened all the time is no way to live, and I found knowledge and solace in the concepts and heartfelt advice in ‘Reality 2.0.’

William Truax obviously put a lot of work and thought into the book and fashioning his primary philosophy, Essentia, and that it can benefit those who take the time to fully digest the material.

Finding a Path Through Philosophy & Science to a Better Place in Life

Every single one of us has to fight our emotions and flawed human nature to find that spot, that place where equilibrium and peace allow us to exist in a healthy and happy place. Easier said than done, easier to dream about than to actualize, and for all too many much easier to stay in the familiar than to grind through what might be a frustrating process. A praise worthy new book by William Truax, ‘Reality 2.0: A Revolutionary New Look at the Universe and Life,’ is a refreshing, well thought out guide book for just such a journey.

Truax walks the reader through all sorts of beliefs, facts, philosophies and comes out the other side with sage advice which, even if you only meet it halfway, your life will benefit in some way, shape or form. I found the book a nice read and will probably go through it again!!

Looking at life in a different way

Sometimes, a book appears when a person needs to question what they believed was already settled, and this one made me realize how often we move through life on autopilot. Many times, we do not stop to ask why things are the way they are. The book suggests that consciousness is not just another detail, but something that truly shapes how the world exists. This idea felt simple and made me more aware of my actions and thoughts each day. It also showed me that life does not need to rely only on scientific facts or on beliefs without reflection. There is a middle point where a person can search for meaning while still thinking clearly. In the end, I kept a simple idea, what we observe and how we observe it matters, and it can change the way we live.

Power and confidence

This book is a very interesting proposal for what the future really holds. From the perspective of someone who is already older, I must say that I find all the new concepts in technology difficult, and reading books like this one is a huge relief.

The book addresses topics that are extremely complex for me, and I must say that when I closed it, I came away with 100% greater clarity on each topic covered.

However, it is not just an introduction to technology, but a guide to learning how to approach a whole new world in which we already find ourselves and which is constantly changing. I liked that even more, because we really tend to feel overwhelmed by the amount of new information that this globalized world brings us. This book is a 10/10.

I liked it!

This book really surprised me. I think it was written for people who are curious, skeptical, and still quietly searching for meaning without wanting to abandon logic.
The ideas unfold slowly and clearly, and I never felt overwhelmed or preached to. Instead, I felt invited into a conversation about consciousness, observation, and why the universe might not be as empty or mechanical as we’re often told. It’s not a book that gives easy answers, and I liked that.
