After surviving an assault on a remote asteroid facility, REC-Team Pelican has gone to ground.

Spending months in hiding, team sergeant Mack Baines catches intel that could bring his team in from the cold. Their find kick-starts a mission tracking the mysterious "signal" to its source—to one of the most dangerous planets at the galaxy's edge, Ankalor.

But the zhee world is home to more than just its fanatical residents. It houses a covert enterprise dressed as a criminal cartel. One whose scheme could put a charismatic warlord on the throne of a world calling for "Death to the Republic."

Join Mack and the members of REC-Team Pelican as they drop onto Ankalor to face rogue agents, Night Marketeers, and one of the galaxy's most dangerous races...

...All while the "signal" calls to a new enemy.

Interesting story arc, i like how it fits with the primary story line.
I could do with a little less of : "a leej has to work for it every day" rhetoric. I think it's fine once or twice but it does seem to come back fairly often in the book and we understood it the first times. But otherwise pretty good .

all action all the time!

4 stars as the author is clearly capable of adding some depth to his characters. I want that. Now, that said it is hard to write all action all the time and get it right. The authors do that well! So on to book 3!

Awesome series from another great series. Can be read as a stand alone, or with Galaxy’s Edge
