TW: Incest
The premise of this book was promising, however, I in anguish continued reading as the FMC made terrible choice after terrible choice. I think the story would have been more impactful if we had really felt like Kai loved Lyric. Instead I wondered why she was so dead set on loving this man she didn’t even know because he was dark and mysterious? Give me a real betrayal. Make me feel like their love was a tale for the ages. Too good to be true.
Where did Rowan go? What about Velora? Why was she so okay abandoning her found family for Miami? With a random dude named Grayson who has ladders.
I felt the writing was stronger once we moved to the family home in NC/SC (it’s written as both). The twists there were like gut punches.
Strong premise, needed better execution.

This story was absolutely heartbreaking. It follows a young lady who just wants to have a simple life after her parents are murdered. But a mysterious man bound to legacy and secrets has other plans for her.
Full of twists and turns, it will most definitely keep you guessing.. You will unlock facial expressions you didn't know you could make. I personally love a psychological thriller, and not even I could predict the ending.
Get cozy with a blanket cause you won't want to stop reading until you uncover all the secrets.

If you are a fan of SVU and Cold Case, this book is for you! This book had my head spinning with every new twist. At one point I was screaming at my non-existant audience over how someone could be so deranged and vile..I'm trying not to give anything away. It's best to go in blind.. I'm still having a hard time processing my thoughts. Definitely a must read for my fellow twisted reader lovers!!!!

What the fuck. I don’t even know what to say. This is one of those books that’s so hard to rate. Not cause it was bad, but because I’m still processing. I knew as soon as Kai said two words this was going to give me Torment Duet flashbacks, in the sense of such a possessive man. But not in the “giggling, screaming, oh my god!” kind of way. In the “I’m terrified” kind of way. Lyric. She kind of pissed me off in the beginning, she gave “not like other girls vibes”. But knowing everything that happened, everything she went through, I can overlook it. I was so heartbroken seeing her go from this normal girl, to having everything and being pampered, and then reduced to almost nothing by this bible thumping, incest loving, CRAZY FUCKING FAMILY. Kai. I have nothing to say about this man. Disgusting, vile, and every other word in every language remotely relating to the word “awful”. But also, seeing how even the maids and staff of the house were brainwashed, thinking everything they were doing was diving God’s Will, and doing everything in God’s name. Editha, I hope you burn in hell. That’s all I have to say, because that’s all I really can say. Overall, 4⭐️ 7/10

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A fiery, emotional rollercoaster — one of my top reads of 2025!
This book is everything you thought you didn’t need — and then some. Bound by Crimson pulled me in from page one and never let me go. I binged it in a single day because I physically couldn’t stop reading.
It’s rare for a book to keep me guessing, but this one had me saying “OMG” out loud more than once. You think it’s a romance… and then BAM — it’s every red flag, every bad decision, every moment of self-doubt wrapped into one heart-racing, emotionally charged story.
The writing is phenomenal — easy to follow, but still layered and rich with emotion. It captures that messy, raw struggle of trying to see past all the warning signs when you’re falling hard. And let me tell you — you will not be able to predict how this ends.
Only three books have made it into my top 5 of 2025 so far… and Bound by Crimson earned its place with ease. Highly recommend this one if you want a book that burns, twists, and grabs hold of your heart.

It started with seduction and sexual undertones, and ended with wtf and not enough!!!!!. This is literally the opposite of most books that I read, starting with hating the MC and ending up loving him. Kai was the perfect mirage, you fall in love with him only to end up wanting to kill him in the most gruesome way possible. I mean yeah I understand that he was groomed, but he never tried to fight for his independent thinking like other survivors. Editha was pure evil. I wanted to see these two waste of space people to get what they deserved, but sadly it all ended with Lyric escaping. Hope there's a sequel with Kai and Editha seeing the fall of their disgusting incestous cult like family, Lyric getting back her respect and the public knowing the truth.
I felt that the author got lazy with how quickly she ended the book, and it was rather disappointing since, she put so much of world building initially.

I did not get to read this book as fast as I wanted with things going on in my life but when I could sit down and read it I was hooked and Everytime I had to stop it was so hard. I needed to know what was happening. As a fan of true crime and shows like SVU and Criminal Minds this book was totally my type of vibes! Plenty of drama, twists, and shocking moments to keep me engrossed in the story and characters. I can't wait to add a physical copy of this one to my collection!! I'll definitely be rereading this one at some point when I can just sit down and binge it without so many breaks! If you are a fan of dark and twisted reads than I highly recommend this one!

That twist had me gasping and just had to find out what happened next. I absolutely loved this book and the emotional depth of the characters drew me right in.

I saw 1 glowing review video of this book and ran to grab it. It was release day by an indie author, so it wasn't so easy to find. I can't thank that random person enough for the recommendation so much so that I hope I am that random person for you. Go get this book.
It's a twisty, suspenseful read that had me saying "wait what!" More than once. Old money family meets independent Lyric who doesn't want any of their nonsense but bites her tongue for love. She ends up finding herself in too deep to get out, and now she needs a new plan, but there's no one she can trust. This is a wild story that reminded me of The Housemaid a bit.

Thank you so much Jennifer for letting me read your book early as an ARC. I honestly loved everything about it. The plot pulled me in, the characters were so well written, and the whole story flowed beautifully. I have to say Kai’s mom really got on my nerves, but in a good way. She seriously irritated my soul, which just shows how strong your character work is. I also loved how helpful one of the maids became by the end. That moment really stood out to me and added so much heart to the story.

Kept me on the edge of my seat. This psychological suspense has twists and turns every page. I literally could not think of anything else except for this book!!! It will def be added to my physical books once it gets released. The tragedy and romance and pain and love was just chefs kiss combination. Don’t sleep on this book!!! Just get it already.

I don’t even know where to begin. This book had me at the edge of my seat the whole time!!! A rollercoaster of emotions! Just when I thought it I knew what was happening , I didn’t. Everytwist, turn, moment just kept me hooked. I love the style of reading and I am so glad I was able to read this one! The details were next level and made me feel like I was there.

Bound by Crimson is going to absolutely screw with your head. Reading this book gave me mass amounts of anxiety, but in the best way. The build up throughout the storyline is absolute perfection. I can honestly say it pulled so many emotion out of me. What would you do for your children? What would you do for your bloodline? What wouldn’t you do for those two things??
