Roughly one year ago, TJ Dallas was the one to introduce me to sapphic er0tica, with the first book in her Pride-trilogy, The Bartender’s Pride. I was hooked. I devoured the rest of the Cardinal-series within days, some scenes still living rent free in my head.🫦
With the first prequel, Book of Genesis, we are introduced to Lilith and her origin story. Her story continues in Original Sin, where we follow Lilith after the events of Book of genesis. Lilith, now fuelled by hate and a yearning for revenge on God and his Heavenly Host of archangels, sets out with a plan to somehow give the people what they really want. With the help of Captain Blake, whose ship take them far and wide across Europe, Lilith finds the children she’ll have moulded into the Seven Deadly Sins. Accompanied by warrior chief Floki (who keeps severed heads as ornaments on her mantel👀), they all work together to see Lilith’s plan come to fruition.🍎
Like I have said probably several times before when banging on about these books, they are the perfect example of “came for the spice, stayed for the story”. Among the very delicious spice, that I have found few does as well as TJ, there is some really intriguing plot, that sometimes has me surprised by the sudden turn into er0tica. You’ll get the best of both worlds – an intriguing plot, with several interesting characters who all play a significant role in the story (and later on, in other books), all accompanied by some of the most delicious spice.❤️🔥
I am rarely one to have the brain capacity to come up with theories as I read, but this book had me bombarding poor TJ with several theories and reactions as the story went on (sorry, not sorry?😬). And, I have to say, I giggled hard when one of the character’s true self was revealed🪽
Now I just have to be very good and very patient as we wait for the rest of Lilith's story😌
