I genuinely haven’t had that much fun reading Jujutsu Kaisen since the Culling Games, and this volume was an absolute blast to read. It’s honestly peak JJK for me: we got fast-paced fights, emotional scenes, exploration of the complexity of some characters, and twist after twist. It’s just so much fun.

I love that we saw many characters fight against Sukuna. Some people complain that it’s a bit rinse and repeat, but to me it just helps to show how much of a MONSTER he is. It’s a nice change for once to see the heroes actually struggle against the antagonist, who seems almost unbeatable. It’s very realistic for him an actual army of the strongest sorcerers to take him, especially after he beat The strongest sorcerer alive. Yet, each of them have a little bit of impact on Sukuna, and we truly see the difference since the beginning of Gojo’s fight.

I love that we get to see just how much progress each of the characters went through. Yuuji learning blood manipulation, Yuta using his Domain Expansion, Maki being a monster (as always), even Kusakabe entering the scene. They all evolved so much since the beginning of the manga, and it’s just pure and absolute fun to see them using all of their powers against Sukuna.

The most emotional moment of the volume was definitely Higuruma’s fight against Sukuna. It’s insane the amount of progress he made during his few months being a sorcerer, to the point that even Sukuna was impressed with him. Yet, he still makes mistakes, and it’s NORMAL. He still learns all the things there are in having a cursed technique, so it’s logic he still doesn’t know everything. And it makes it even more realistic. His scene with Yuuji actually made me sob, and I can’t even imagine the trauma Yuuji must go through after everything.

This volume was everything I love about JJK, and I honestly don’t get all the hate it’s been getting recently. I think some people have expectations of what this manga is supposed to be and are mad the author wants it to go in another direction. If you don’t like it anymore, it’s okay to drop it. :)

اگه به صورت هفتگی میخوندمش حتما کلافه میشدم ولی خب خوندن یهو ده بیست تا چپتر پشت هم یکم داستان رو پیش می‌بره.

halfway into this the fight with sukuna got a little bit confusing, enjoying it regardless though!
i don’t understand how people can blame megumi for no longer having the will to live, i feel like everyone forgets that he’s still just a kid. he lost two of the most important people in his life in such a short span of time, you can’t expect him to be all happy and ready to go fight.

nooooo I've caught up :((( i finished ch 252 on march 7 (in my crazy manga consumption era) and had to wait over 3 weeks for the last 2 chapters of this volume (confirmed ch 246-254). these fights were much harder to follow, and gege straight up went for a THICK marker on some of these that honestly look unfinished lol. i don’t blame him tho, i’m sure he’s under some crazy deadlines.

it’s so cool yet sad that they put nanami’s technique into his cleaver and that ino got to use it :’) it’s epic seeing higuruma’s rapid evolution, so i’m sooo sad he’s dead :((( since reading the manga, he, maki, and choso have become my faves, and i really like uro, takaba, and kusakabe too! everyone be learning how to use reverse cursed technique now tho, higuruma, itadori… kenjaku’s death was almost anticlimactic with how quickly yuta took care of him and all his curses. i’m curious where tengen went since we saw a flash of him when kenjaku was killed, but if he was right there yuta should’ve been able to get him ??

speaking of yuta, his domain is SICK. him using cleave on sukuna is so funny. really back down to the pits tho with poor megumi absolutely devastated, like theoretically if he had some fight in him that would’ve changed the effect here a bit but…. interesting that it seems itadori used the blood technique like choso?? that would be incredibly weird since that would be kenjaku’s past techniques passing down.. could itadori have received part of kamo noritoshi’s technique AND part of kenjaku’s technique, which would explain why he and kusakabe had switched bodies in ch 222? i wonder if he also got his mom’s gravity technique too… HMMMM.

still want to know where todo is?? it's kinda odd that they were hyping kusakabe up soooo much and then the fight seemed so quick. i mean he's not dead (i'm pretty sure) so he might come back but… wdym sukuna isn’t taking the fight seriously tho? he kind of HAS to die in a story sense, but nearly everyone has failed and there aren’t many people left other than miguel. if he keeps hyping this up then winning is going to be a kinda ridiculous miracle.. anyway i’m going to cry having to wait weekly or biweekly for these chapters but this is my curse :’)

Estoy sumiendo que el tomo 28 irá hasta el capítulo 254.
No han estado mal, pero la idea de que Sukuna se esté conteniendo me me molesta en plan ¿qué va a hacer esta gente? Porque ellos ya lo están dando todo y cada vez se mueren más, ajajajjaa. ¿Entonces si no han logrado hacer mucho en grupo, qué les depara un futuro cuando solo queden unos pocos?
Plus, de verdad estoy enojada con Megumi. Se supone que él era el inteligente en el trío de idiotas, pero está tan rendido... Por matar a su hermana LA CUAL ÉL YA SABÍA QUE NO ERA SU HERMANA, DIOS. O sea, yo sé que el vato en el fondo es una masita llorona, pero vamos, no puede realmente darle control total a Sukuna por algo como eso.
Además, se siente como si Yuuji hubiera perdido por completo su protagonismo. Antaño Gojo se lo quitaba un poco, pero eso estaba bien. Ahora le dan más tiempo en pantalla a cualquiera menos a él. Lo que me fastidia un poco más es que sea principalmente por Yuuta. Como dije antes, yo no le tengo el mismo aprecio que otros le tienen y a pesar de reconocer su fuerza, creo que se está llevando todos los golpes fuertes hacia el enemigo. Haciendo una mirada hacia atrás, Yuuji no ha hecho nada, siempre terminan por robarle la oportunidad, pobrecito.
Y es que en parte no me creo esas evoluciones tan rápidas. Recuerdo mucho cuando me sacó de onda que Yuuta llevara tres meses en la escuela y ya podía hacer saltos en el aire y caer de pie jsjsjs. Es que no me lo creo de a mucho. Y generalmente lo dejo pasar por el pacto ficcional y toda esa vuelta, pero no lo había nombrado y quería quejarme un poco.
Las técnicas de los personajes cada vez parecen más rotas. Después de decir que Gojo es el "hechicero más fuerte" cada vez que aparece un nuevo personaje sacan algo como "considerado el hechicero más veloz. Después de Gojo", "considerado el hechicero más rápido. Después de Gojo", "considerado el hechicero que más puede acelerar. Después de Gojo". ¿No sé si no agarra que son sinónimos? jsjsjs. Y todos son los más fuertes en algo después de Gojo, menos la inútil de Miwa. Y la verdad es que, si quisiera, todos podrían ganar, pero Sukuna se saca cada power up de la cola ¿? Literal si el tipo de las bromas quisiera, podría ganarle. Si Toge lo mandara a morir, también (aunque es una palabra muy fuerte, quién sabe si lo lograría y además no quiero ver qué podría hacerle a su cuerpecito precioso). Quizás la única sin oportunidad es la misma Miwa jajajaja (ahorita plot twist y es ella quien lo derrota)
Yayaya, Akutami, deja de darle vueltas a estas madres. Deja de matar a mis personajes favoritos (aunque todavía no llego a esa parte, pero ya me la sé, porque YT e Insta están llenos de spoilers). Y céntrate en traer de vuelta a Megumi y que Sukuna los mate a todos de una vez o que ellos puedan contra él, porque ya le andas dando muchas vueltas a esta madre con tomos del relleno más molesto y absurdo y estoy segura de que no soy la única persona fastidiada por tanta pendejada que te sacas, casi es como si fueras el vato de la técnica de comediante.

so since this volume hasn’t been fully completed yet, i’m using it as a post to talk about my thoughts and feelings so far.

since i read the chapters one after the other, after i got past what is officially published in english i no longer knew which volume i was technically reading? so big overall review of what’s happened so far with the JJK volumes:

• i cannot wait for this all to be adapted into the anime because there were so many points where i was sooo confused on whether someone was alive, did they just leave the fight, did they die? very much so with yuta because i didn’t remember him even leaving the fight so when he popped up again i was like OH HEY. also totally with Choso too LOL. and also when yuji appeared again and i was like OH YOU’RE HERE STILL and then sukuna said “you’re still around?” in the next panel making me die of laughter.

• i now totally get my friends obsession with maki because i will admit, i originally saw her as kind of inconsequential, like she was cool for what she achieved without cursed techniques but she was never going to be one of the great sorcerers because she couldn’t match up. so when she essentially levelled up and became toji 2.0 i was like woah slay because now she’s epic and solo’s soooo many people.

• the random moments in JJK where the villain is goofy is so hilarious to me - first when kenjaku explained his whole plan coming about because he was bored and curious, then the whole comedian scene where he was actually enjoying himself making jokes, every time sukuna takes the piss out of yuji. just amazing

• i still don’t understand most of the tengen stuff if i’m being honest. kenjaku acted like they knew each other, they said something about tengen being the creator of the culling games? and yeah just a lot of it i really don’t get.

• i don’t really know if this epic long battle going on right now is how i saw this all playing out. i can’t tell if i’m enjoying it or i’m getting bored of how long it is. of course it makes sense that it would be majorly long - sukuna is literally the most powerful sorcerer but idkkkkk, there’s only been a few epic moments - maybe i just need to see this all animated because i might just not be following some things?

• NOBARA???? to be fair, it does make sense now why that guy who’s name i can’t remember was like “there’s some hope, but honestly really not a lot at all but still” so i guess i wasn’t super shocked tbh but it was cute.

OKAY maybe ill re edit this later once i’ve thought more but for now i need a screen time break LOL
