A sweet lovely romance book that has a rollercoaster ride of emotions.
The book starting off with Blair the main female protagonist getting dumped by her fiance Tristan with the typical 'It's not you, It's me'. Blair leaves their apartment to stay with her best friend Phillipa. If having your heart broken wasn't enough, Blair also quits her dream job as it was owned by her father in law.
Being an amazing best friend Phillipa books a trip for them both to Aspen to help cheer Blair up. Little did they know of how much fun and adventure they will have.
Blair meets MMC Austin at the airport and finds out that he is from Aspen where they are heading too. The pair hit it off sharing stories, banter and some embarrassing moments together throughout the story.
Blair however is still trying to work through her emotions with her recent break up with the man whom she thought was the love of her life trying to contact her after a few months of hearing nothing from him.
Being that the new handsome, smart and kind man has been mixing up some wonderful emotions within Blair, will she continue to explore her newfound feelings for Austin that lives on the other side of the world or go back to Tristan whom is asking for forgiveness.
There is also some lovely spice within this book that is open door with some sweet details.
Refreshing comedy romance!! Blair lost everything in a blink of an eye: a fiancé, her job and a life she had built. Accompanied by her best friend, she travels half the world to mend her broken heart. For Austin, it was love at first sight. For Blair, it was a new start. She went away to mend her heart and unexpectedly found a good and gorgeous doctor 🩺 willing to take care of her ❤️🩹
Short novel, filled with hilarious moments, a dash of spice and HEA.
How cute and fun was this book?! I absolutely loved reading it as a quick/feel good romance read with a dreamy doctor! It had me crying with laughter and then swooning at the cuteness. Loved how the best friends were portrayed in the story as being so kind and selfless to each other. Everyone needs a good friend like Pip!!
Broken-hearted Blair dumped by her fiance, her best friend Phillipa takes Blair on a trip to Aspen to help her forget about her broken heart... what she doesn't expect is to meet a cute guy (Austin) at the airport, from Aspen!
This MMC has all the green flags, after a not to smooth first date, Blair and Austin both falling hard and fast even with a few hiccups along the way!
Their story is 1 of the most funny romances i have read yet! Ur gonna pee ur pants with laughter (pun intented). I mean, who doesnt love a hot MMC who is a doctor, tattooed, and can cook!
This is a lighthearted meet cute where our FMC Blair is in need for some serious time with her bestie, so why not head to Aspen to hit the slopes during ski season?
How about meeting a hottie at the airport who just so happens to call Aspen home! Yep, you got it. Blair meets the mysterious MMC before her trip even starts.
Blair is awkward AF and it just makes her more adorable as the story goes on. Definitely a born with foot in mouth kinda gal.
As for hot MMC, did I mention he's got tatts? Phew mama, well he and Blair hit it off after a little mishap on their first date but Austin doesn't seem to mind.
What follows next is a series of unfortunate incidents that bring the two closer together...
Rating: 4 ⭐ Spice: 2 🌶️
Tropes: Love after heartbreak, doctor mmc, tattooed mmc, golden retriever mmc, ride or die bestie, meet cute, vacation romance, hurt/comfort
Triggers: medical procedures, medical emergencies, lactose intolerance, engagement breakup
While I liked the story in general, there was so much extra filler content that didn't need to be there. Detailed ski lessons with Pippa and Greg, not to mention over exaggerating the dates Blair & Austin had during their time in Aspen, lengthened the story but didn't add anything of substance to the overall plot. It was ... Boring. Very "basic Brittany."
Remind me: What was the initiating conflict again? Was there any conflict?
There were quite a few moments throughout the novel where the actions, dialogue, and intimate moments between the two main characters felt stoic and a little mechanical. They didn't develop much at all and there was no external stimulus driving each one's motivations.
It was nice to read, but ultimately not a personal favorite.
A sweet slightly spicy meet cute that will keep you reading.
I could not put this book down and read it in a day. I loved that this book was funny as well as serious all in one.

What do you do when life as you know it completely implodes? You hit the slopes in aspen with your bestie of course!
Blair’s heart is broken, and her confidence is shook but her bestie isn’t taking no for an answer when she decides they are going away! Blair wasn’t expecting to run into Dr cutie at the airport but she wasn’t expecting anything that life has thrown at her!
This story was so fun! I loved getting to see Blair blossom throughout her healing and reading what a true best friend is for🤣 Pip is the real MVP! I cannot wait to have a shelf trophy of this baby!
A beautiful love story set in snowy Aspen. This book is a reminder that love can find us when we least expect it!
In addition to meeting our MCs and watching their connection grow despite all of the clumsiness and little things the universe throws their way to make things tricky we also get to celebrate the amazing friendship between Blair and Pip. We all need a hype girl like Pip in our corner, raising us up and reminding us that we are worthy and deserve our happily ever after.
A little bit of spice in jus the right places makes this a great and quick read!
