Tiger Division get their own One World Under Doom tie-in, which goes about as well as you expect.

The team's been repurposed to fight for Doom rather than for the good of Korea, and that sits badly with most of the team, including new additions Karma, Wave, and Aero. What ensues is a bit of a Tiger Division civil war, with some double crosses and reveals that you could probably see coming a mile off. There's nothing overly surprising here, and it feels more like a set-up for a second arc than a complete story in and of itself.

The artwork from Minkyu Jung is fine, but the colouring feels a little flat. The visuals are a bit lifeless compared to say, his work on Doctor Aphra most recently, or Ms. Marvel from a few years back.

Not bad, and it's always nice to get a spotlight on characters like this, but a little too predictable.

The story: When Doctor Doom becomes Earth's new sorcerer supreme and somehow manages to convince all the world's leaders to make him our planet's ruler, Tiger Division, South Korea's superhuman response team, gets roped into being a part of a pan-Asian initiative called Doom's Division. People are doubtful, and reactions are mixed with some wanting to give Doom the benefit of the doubt, others less so. Luna Snow is assigned to make propaganda songs for the new world order, and Sunfire starts a violent resistance movement, which the newly formed Doom's Division is assigned to put a stop to.

Should you read this?: If you're reading the main One World story and wondering "Is it worth it to read a side story from another part of the world? Side stories on events like this tend to get a bad rap, so is it even going to be any good?" I'd say it's an unqualified yes from me to both those questions. In fact, I'd say almost all the side stories for One World have been remarkably high quality compared to a lot of other Marvel events. The author of this, Yoon Ha Lee, is a pretty well-known and highly regarded sci-fi novelist, and it really shows (very awesome Marvel managed to snag him to write this imo). The story, while it does start out maybe just a little slow, it really picks up and had me fully hooked by the end of the first issue. The story's got a lot of twists and turns, and does such a good job developing these characters.

The art: Pretty darn good really. It won't knock your socks off maybe, but it's very solid above average quality, I'd say.

I wanted to hive this book 3.5 stars. The main reason I makes it dow is I am as familiar with Tiger/Doom Division. I like the artwork and the the story is okay a bit drawn out, and coming back to me not knowing the characters very well is don't if they were in character or not for the final reveal.

Doctor Doom is the Emperor of the world and the Sorcerer Supreme. By the looks of things he is doing a pretty good job. Poverty is down, people can travel a world without borders, and regular people have access to education and medical that would have been out of their reach. The Tiger Division is divided themselves about Doom's intentions. With Sunfire offering resistance in Asia Tiger (now Doom) Division are tasked with taking him down. However the more they look into things the less people they can trust.

A good story, I would probably say read the first couple of volumes of Tiger Division before reading this to have a better understanding of the characters or you will be thrown into the deep end like I was. The book finishes with a variant cover gallery.

Glad I didn’t waste money on the floppies because this trade was underwhelming. The art is serviceable but feels very corporate—slick without personality. The story never convinced me there were any real stakes; everything moves along without tension or urgency. Oddly enough, Doom never even shows up, despite the title and the supposed connection to “One World Under Doom.” That disconnect makes the whole thing feel like filler. The one bright spot? I learned about a South Korean superhero team I’d barely heard of before, which was interesting and could have been explored more. Unfortunately, the execution is iffy, and the event as a whole suffers for it. Definitely one of the lowlights of this crossover—an ambitious idea that fizzles out.

Good art, and I like how it started. Some really interesting characters I'm less familiar with, too. There was potential, but the story started to grow stale and the end was a little to Hallmark movie ending. And the connection up One World Under Doom was disappointing (I wanted this series to matter more the the overarching story).

More Sunfire.

A decent read. Tiger Division is a team I haven’t seen in some time. Marvel introduced them and then didn’t do much with them. I like seeing Doom’s reign in a different part of the world and how it tears this team apart. Not the biggest fan of the ending and how it plays out. But excited to see where we’ll see this team next.

I really want to give the pan asian characters a chance but they lack any personality and this story adds nothing to the ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM story and it isn't a story on it's own. I wish someone saw more potential here.

Nice art with nice coloring all the way through, but the story could've been told in single issue format.
