Bright Haven is my flock and I am their Blessed Lamb.

Under the guidance of our Father, I lead our congregation for the glory of the Lord. Seeking salvation from the rot that has set in across the country, we cleanse those who sin against us in the red rains, offering them a chance at God’s forgiveness.

We ask the Lord for mercy, but The Devil answers instead.

Once a member of the community, Lazarus was cast out to suffer among the damned long before I came to the compound. Wicked and cruel, he is now more sinner than saint but he wasn’t always that way. Betrayed by those he loved, Lazarus is The Devil that Bright Haven created themselves, and his vengeance upon our community has been swift and merciless.

And now I am his captive.

He meant to kill me when he took me but now I’m not sure he wants me dead. Lazarus seeks instead to corrupt me piece by piece and though I know I am to remain pure, I am weak to the temptation of his touch. The longer he keeps me alive, the more I crave him like I crave air and the more I learn about the man we call our Father.

There’s a sickness in Bright Haven.

Spoiled fruit in the orchard and a snake among the reeds.

We’ve been asking the Lord for mercy, but calling to The Devil may be the only way to save us all.

Call to the Devil is a full-length MM dystopian romance as part of the 1nf3ction shared world collab. Each book is a standalone containing themes and situations not intended for readers under the age of 18. Both characters are consenting adults. This book features dark religious themes, folk horror vibes, snacrifices, a forest full of zombies, actions that have consequences, a broken man with questionable morals learning how to love and trust, and a so-called sacred vessel learning how to be a messy, imperfect human. Please read and heed the content warnings contained within the author's note.

I really liked this book! Just like with the previous ones, I can totally see things playing out like this if we ever had an apocalypse — people completely losing it and following some psychopath who thinks he’s God (Trump cough, sorry, I had to 🤣).

The worldbuilding and character development were fascinating to watch, especially when it came to Dylan. Seeing him go from a brainwashed believer who thought he was the Lamb to someone who’s finally grounded in himself and realizes he’s been lied to for years — that was such a powerful transformation.

And Lazarus? What a great character with such an intriguing backstory. My heart honestly broke for both of them.

I only have one issue with this book....

It wasn't long enough. and I mean that in the best way. I wanted more. I loved the cult aspect a lot, it was such a different take from the rest of the series. I loved that you didn't know who was good or bad a lot of the time.

I loved that while Daylan came to realize he'd been lied to and so much was wrong, he still remained himself, still believed in something even if he didn't necessarily know what anymore.

I also really loved that it would've been easy for it to just be Lazarus getting revenge and burning it all to the ground, but Daylan saw the good in the innocent people there and wanting to continue to give them a home and something to believe in still.

AND THE SPICE? Yes.

Will definitely be checking out more from this author!

I loved this book!

Call to the Devil is book five in the 1nf3ction shared world collab, and it was my first read from Breanna Ripley, I’m now officially obsessed with their writing. The prose is so smooth and immersive that I found myself 80% through before I even realized. I was completely hooked.

The storyline is captivating, packed with twists and emotional depth. The spice is perfectly balanced, it enhances the tension and character development without overshadowing the plot. Lazarus was a standout for me; I loved how he slowly revealed himself to Daylen, layer by layer. Watching Daylan grapple with the unraveling of everything he believed in was powerful and heartbreaking.

The Premise:
Lazarus was cast out long ago and has returned with vengeance. Daylan, once Bright Haven’s sacred vessel, becomes his captive, but not all is as it seems. As truths unravel and temptation grows, Daylan must confront the sickness at the heart of his community and decide whether calling to the Devil might be the only way to save them all.

I’m a sucker for a good religious cult storyline, and this one absolutely delivered. The folk horror vibes, eerie setting, and psychological tension were spot-on. This is the third book I’ve read in the 1nf3ction series, and I’ve loved every single one. I can’t wait to have the full set displayed on my shelf!

If you enjoy dark romance with depth, tension, and a touch of horror, Call to the Devil is a must-read. It’s beautifully written, emotionally intense, and dripping with atmosphere. Just be sure to check the content warnings; this book doesn’t shy away from heavy themes, but it handles them with care and purpose.

Vibes:
• Cult in the woods
• Enemies to lovers
• Hurt/comfort
• Captor/captive
• Blessed meets devil
• Dub-con
• Folk horror
• Zombies in the forest
• Sacred vessel meets messy humanity

Oh boy, how I freaking enjoyed this book! I was so hooked I read it in one sitting — I couldn’t put it down.
Listen, I’m not usually into religious-cult-themed books, but this one felt really different, imo.
I devoured it and left no crumbs. I just wish it had been longer. 🥺💙

Daylan lives in a community led by Father, and he’s known as The Lamb because his blood is pure — he’s immune; the Red Rain doesn’t infect him.
Everything goes smoothly until one day the community gets… attacked. Multiple times. And the culprit leaves a mark: ♈. Who could it be? It has horns… the Devil, maybe? But Lazarus is the devil! It certainly can’t be him — he’s dead.
Or is he? 😏

I loved the relationship between Daylan and Lazarus — how it evolved. It went from Laz wanting to kill him cause he's The Lamb, to protecting him. 🥹🥹🥹
I loved how he slowly but surely opened Daylan’s eyes to all the lies he’d been told his whole life.
My heart broke for Lazarus — everything he went through, and no one helped him. It was so unfair. 😭
He had every reason to do what he did. 😤😤😤

They say opposites attract, and that couldn’t be more true in their case. 🤭🤭🤭

I loved Daylan & Lazarus together. Now I’m not a huge religious person but it brings the whole plot together. The little twist with Arn wasn’t expected at all but I liked that Lazarus had help and that he found someone who saw him for him. Such a great book and not as gruesome as the others tho.

Call To The Devil by B. Ripley is the fifth book in the INFECTION series by Mayhem Manuscripts. This is a series of standalone books that are all part of an interconnected world. Call To The Devil takes place 76 years after the infection caused by the Red Rain took hold, creating a sub-species of infected individuals. Some are no longer human while many live with the infection but haven’t yet turned. Call To The Devil is a dark, dystopian, enemies to lovers MM romance with captor/captive, dubcon, hurt/comfort, and a cult in the woods.

The Lamb, aka Daylan, aka Lambchop is considered the Blessed Lamb of the Bright Haven religious cult. Daylan found his way into Bright Haven as a child following the death of his parents. There is a dark past within Bright Haven that many residents aren’t aware of, even the Blessed Lamb. That dark past was thought to be dead but has returned with a vengeance and The Lamb will pay the ultimate price for crimes done by his predecessor.

Lazarus grew up in Bright Haven without the safety of parents. The Father was the only parent he ever really knew. Now, ten years after that fateful night, he’s finally prepared to take his vengeance on the people who wronged him. The people who hurt him. Things don’t exactly go according to plan and though he had intended on killing The “new” Lamb, he’s nothing like he thought he’d be. Now, all he wants is to keep this Lamb all to himself but how does The Devil convince The Lamb that maybe he’s not all bad?

The book really surprised me, in the best way. First of all, that prologue absolutely set the perfect tone for the entire story. I was captivated immediately. While this is a shorter story, it didn’t lack anywhere. The pacing was prefect from start to finish and the subject matter was so interesting. Horrifically dark but interesting. I really loved the world the author envelopes the reader into and how immersive the storyline was. The character and plot development were done well and the small plot twist at the end was a complete surprise for me. I gave his book 4.5 stars.

As soon as this popped up on my kindle, I started it. I devoured it in just a couple of hours.

The amount of religion type books that I have read over the years, could be counted on one hand. For me, it's the thought of reading something religion related and feeling like it's being pushed down my throat, so I tend to steer clear of them. This was not it at all, while definitely very religion/cult heavy, it was so much more.

This started with a bang from the first chapter and didn't stop until the very end.

Lazarus had some pretty horrendous things happen to him during his childhood and my heart broke for him. He took matters in to his own hands both in the past and now as well. I wanted him to get that justice, I wanted him to see that revenge, I wanted him to do what he needed to do, to be able to move on from what happened to him.

Daylan....Lambchop......he was the sweetest. He had the most growth throughout the whole thing. Watching him come to the realization that everything he knew of him and that his whole life was a lie, gave me mixed emotions. I was heartbroken for him but also happy at the same time.

Watching these two form thir connection and slowly fall in love was perfect for them. Chaotic, wicked, sinful, patient, understanding....everything that they both needed from the other person.

I was pleasantly surprised by Arn. I perceived him a certain way from his interactions but then to learn what I did, mouth dropped, gasped, utterly shocked.

Another great addition to the Infected series!!

This book is part of the 1nf3ction Series and is a Dark Romance with a HEA. You definitely need to check the TWs with this one as there is religious trauma and off page SA but it is explained. We are also in a Dystopian Setting with zombies so there is all that going on too 🤣

🌶🌶🌶

Daylan is like the prodigal son of his Cult. He is called the "Lamb" because his blood is thought of as pure since he is immune to the virus set on the earth. The Father of his cult holds him above others but not above correction when needed. The Cult's little camp has been the victim of some bad luck after animals have gone missing and fires have sprung up, at least thats Daylan's thoughts on everything happening. Other members though are blaming "The Devil" due to the sign of the ram that is found after/around the areas of these events. The Devil in this case being Lazarus.
Lazarus was a member of the group who was thrown out after a horrific incident and thought to be dead. Speaking his name is a sin of its own in their camp.
Lazarus was actually left by his Cult to die after taking revenge on his abuser. He now wants to take revenge on the whole camp and what better way to do this then abducting and unaliving their precious Lamb. After he takes Daylan though Lazarus starts to realize that he isn't what he thought he was. Daylan might actually listen to and believe Lazarus when he tells him the truth of what is going on, but will Daylan be able to get Lazarus to see that not everyone in the camp is the same now and meaning they dont all need to die?
Ugh our poor stabby bebe Lazarus 🥺 I just wanted to wrap him up and hide him away. He is just a broken boy abandoned by the world. I loved the little twisty parts in this, the things you might have thought you knew just get flipped up at the end and it keeps you on your toes through the whole story 🖤 Another great addition to this series!

A Brutally Beautiful, Wicked Dystopian Love Story

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

B. Ripley's Call to the Devil is a dark, gritty, and fiercely passionate ride through a dystopian world where faith and fear have been weaponized. This book is not for the faint of heart, diving deep into themes of trauma, religious manipulation, and found family, all wrapped up in an intense, high-stakes M/M romance.

The world-building in Bright Haven is stark and unsettling. The "Father" figure is a truly terrifying villain, and the rain-zombie threat adds a constant, visceral layer of danger. What makes this story so compelling, however, is the relationship between Lazarus and Daylan.

Daylan, the Lamb, is a character of pure resilience. His journey of self-discovery and reclaiming his own narrative—including his sexuality—is powerful and heartbreaking. Lazarus, the self-proclaimed Devil, is the perfect foil: dangerous, wicked, and entirely devoted to his Lamb. Their dynamic is complex and raw, transitioning from captive/captor to a deep, transformative love. Their intimate scenes are explicit, passionate, and beautifully written to reflect the power struggle and undeniable connection between them.

The addition of Arn as a morally gray ally provides fantastic tension and necessary emotional depth to the plot, elevating the story beyond a simple romance. The pacing is relentless, leading to a satisfyingly brutal confrontation that changes the very foundation of their world.

If you enjoy dark romance, queer dystopian fiction, and stories where the characters fight tooth and nail for their happy ending (and their right to sin), pick this up. This is a story about choosing your own truth, even when the world calls you a devil.

Call to the Devil completely blew me away! From the moment I opened it on my Kindle, I was hooked and devoured it in just a few hours. The worldbuilding is dark, immersive, and terrifyingly believable, with a cult-driven apocalypse that feels both chilling and fascinating. Dylan’s journey from a brainwashed Lamb to a grounded, self-aware individual is beautifully written and incredibly satisfying to watch, while Lazarus’s backstory and morally complex nature had my heart breaking and cheering for him in equal measure. Their connection—chaotic, sinful, patient, and utterly compelling—unfolds perfectly, and watching them navigate trust, love, and redemption was everything I could have wanted.

The characters are layered and unforgettable. Lazarus is a wonderfully tortured, complex antihero, while Dylan’s growth and resilience make him such a relatable and endearing protagonist. The tension, the emotional depth, the wickedly dark stakes, and the slow burn romance all combined into a story that kept me on edge and fully invested from start to finish. I also loved the surprises—Arn, in particular, left me utterly shocked and delighted! This book is the perfect blend of dystopian, cult intrigue, dark romance, and emotional depth, and I absolutely cannot recommend it enough.

I have to be honest, when I first started this book I had trouble getting into the story. I wasn't a big fan of the religious heavy plot and dialogue, it's just not something I particularly enjoy reading. However, the more I kept reading the more I ended up enjoying the story itself, mainly because I liked the dynamic between Lazarus and Daylan.

The juxtaposition of Lazarus being akin to the 'Devil', and Daylan being an 'Angel', was really well written and portrayed. What I liked the most about their unlikely pairing is the fact that they are not who they are portrayed as.... Yes, Lazarus has done awful things but he has his reasons for them... And while Daylan is kind, caring, and thoughtful, he isn't the holy saint everyone expects him to be. I liked that they broke out of the molds everyone else forced them into, Daylan learned to think for himself instead of listening to whatever nonsense 'Father' told him.

I also enjoyed seeing these characters grow throughout the story as well, along with them gradually opening up to each other over time. I liked that their relationship was unconventional yet fitting in a way... Even though they are portrayed as opposites, I think they are exactly what each other needed.

Oh! And the ending is absolutely glorious! Let's just say that a certain 'Father' got what was coming to him.

READ THIS BOOK!!

This is book 5 in the Inf3ction Series, please check the triggers and protect your mental health as this is heavy on the cult and religious themes.

Although this is built in religious themes I thought it was done so so well! It really dived in and really showed how religion can be pushed and pushed into a cult like setting and I was intrigued all the way through with the whole concept.

Lazarus was pushed out as he was seen as the “Devil” for his crimes and his name is not to be spoken at all. Then we have the sacred lamb Daylan who follows the word of Father to lead a pure life for him and his followers that depend on him. Lazarus is out for revenge over those who did him wrong and Daylan is caught in the crosshairs.

This book really made me sympathetic to how easy it is to fall for things when they are all that is known to you and in this case all Daylan has really known is what father has been feeding him. Lazarus makes Daylan rethink the words and the world as he knows it. And Lazarus is realizing how sacred his little lamb really is to his heart. These two together have such a special place in my heart, I loved them so much!

My jaw was literally on the floor at some of those spices scene it was top-tier!

This has been such a great series

I’ve loved every book in it

This was great too

Very heavy on the faith/religious vibes.

Lazarus was known as the devil to the Bright Haven Cult. Once the favorite or

Chosen, he is cast out and seeking revenge on his former abusers

Daylan, the current chosen, the Lamb has been taken by Lazarus

Lazarus is smitten with him, at first he wanted to hurt him, but soon realizing Daylan is innocent in his actions but also thought, he now wants to keep him for himself

They two fall quick and hard for eachother

I adored how protective they were of each other

“Wicked,” I whisper, laughing under my breath. “You love it of me.” “I love you,” I correct. “No question.” “I love you too, my most blessed Lambchop.”

This was quick and sweet and sorta unhinged in the culty religious vibes way but really awesome too

It’s been such a great series

I really liked this

So glad they got their hea

SO thankful or this arc

The 1NF3CTION world strikes again. Honesty, I'm amazed at how each author in this series took the shared world and made it their own.
As usual, we have the red storms, the zombies, and the whole virus thing but made in a very cult-in-the-woods way.

I will be honest, I usually don't read very many books with such heavy religious themes, but this one I definitely won't regret. It was written in such an interesting way that I devoured it in just a couple of hours. From the start, there were no dull moments.

The things that made Lazarus the Devil people thought he was were horrendous. And the fact that the sweet little Lamb didn't even realize that he was being hurt? Devastating.

Their relationship started in a very questionable way, but I was so glad to see them finding something good in each other and that Lazarus made Daylan see the truth.

And may I just add that Daylan was just the sweetest? The way he was always so polite, even when held captive. (Okay, Lazarus was sweet too... sometimes.. and only for his Lambchop)

Part of a multi-author series (Mayhem Manuscripts Season One: 1nf3ction), but can be read as a standalone. Dystopian. Captor/captive. Hurt/comfort. Slow burn. Dual POV. Heed content warnings.

Raised in a religious community believing he was special due to his blood, Daylan tries to walk a righteous path until he is kidnapped by the resurrected Lazarus. After being left for dead, Lazarus is back for revenge, but he doesn’t intend to start to care for the innocent man he planned to kill.

This story doesn’t require the zombies in the background but it does lend to the danger aspect as Daylan’s innocence and Lazarus’s need for revenge drive the story. Once they spend time together and Daylan learns the truth behind how his community has been led he believes Lazarus and discovers the reasons for Lazarus’s anger. I enjoyed the twists and surprises, and that Daylan was intelligent and understood the truths and hurts, and that Lazarus becomes protective and not abusive. An entertaining read a good addition to this series. 4.5 rounded up

“I can, and I will,” I promise. “You are mine to keep and mine to protect.”

One thing I love about this series is that each book by each author has their own spin on the story that is set. This one is set around a cult community called Bright Haven. Daylan is their lamb, and as characters go, I think he has to be the most polite I have ever read, even with all that he faces throughout this story. Lazarus, the condemned and thought-to-be-dead seeker from the cult, has waited for his revenge, and it's now. But the more time he spends with Daylan, the more he knows he can never hurt his sweet lambchop. Others, however, are not as safe from his revenge.

Theres a few little surprises I did not see coming
But im definitely not going to spoil it.

well, this book may not have a high spice it doesn't need. As it tells an incredible story of uncovering truths, finding love, and making people accountable for their sins.

✨ WOW!! I gobbled this ARC down in a day's time! The dark religious theme of Call to the Devil really roped me in from the get-go.
The dystopian zombie apocalypse theme is new to me, and I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about it all, but I'm having a blast reading this series!! 👏🏼

I absolutely LOVED the wickedness of Lazarus and the sweet innocence (maybe?) of Daylan. The twist in the story definitely caught me by surprise, which doesn't happen very often. 👏🏼👏🏼 What a beautiful story of revenge, redemption, salvation and most of all, unexpected LOVE.

✝️😈 What to Expect:
• Dark religious themes
• Folk Horror Vibes
• Sacrifices & betrayals
• A cult in the woods
• A forest full of zombies
• Lazarus, a broken man seeking revenge
• Daylan, a gentle man seeking salvation
• Survival, truth, clarity, love & happy endings... If Lazarus doesn't burn the world down first.

B. Ripley’s Call to the Devil is definitely in my top three of the 1NF3CTION series!

Before diving in, I’ll start with a gentle content warning reminder — check those CW/TWs first! This one contains a bit more potentially triggering material than the usual gore and violence that comes with a zombie-themed world.

That said, I absolutely adored Lazarus (we all know I’m a sucker for a deranged and misunderstood MMC) and his Lambchop. The cult-like setting, and the way Daylan perceives the world, adds another compelling layer to the bleak, chaotic dystopian landscape RRV13 has laid seige to. This story gave me strong early Walking Dead vibes — in the best possible way — where the true horror comes not from the infected, but from the monstrous humans.

It was a gripping read that kept me fully invested. I craved retribution — and by the devil, it was delivered. 😉

And remember:
“Don’t be a dick.” — Lazarus

I loved this one! I think it’s the shortest in the series at about 180 pages but managed to do quite a lot in that length. It’s set in the community of a small religious cult and we get all the lore behind their beliefs, some great character development and even few plot twists thrown in there for good measure.

I loved how removed from reality this section of society is (this book is also surprising funny at times considering the subject matter - I particularly enjoyed Daylan’s confusion over the concept of a summer camp)

Daylan and Lazarus are suuuch a great pairing. They’re polar opposites - literally the devil and the lamb within the religious imagery used by the cult. The dynamic between them was packed with tension and eventual corruption. The red rain scenes in this were also 👌

All in all this was another strong entry to this series, it’s honestly been incredible so far and I can’t wait to read the rest.

* SPOILERS *

I’m loving every single one of these books in this lovely series because it seriously captures you like you wouldn’t believe it. I’ve never read any books by this author but man, I was so not prepared by how good this book was.

I loved Daylan and Lazarus. From the moment they met one another, I knew this was going to be a good one. I loved the cult concept we got in this book, and my goodness, the spice was spicing.

I love me a good enemies to lovers romance but man, this book had me on the edge of my seat because I needed to know what happened. I love the twists that you get in this book and it just makes you want to want more.

I love how Lazarus’s kidnapping Daylan was what helped him change his ways of thinking. I was a sucker for this book from start to finish.

I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.

The fifth book in the interconnected, multi-author 1nf3ction series takes us to Canada into the clutches of a religious cult, Bright Haven.

Daylan is immune, the Lamb of Brighton Haven, and seen as pure to the cult leader and followers. Lazarus was once a member of Bright Haven, but after murdering the first Lamb, he was cast out and left for dead. After surviving his death sentence, Lazarus plots his revenge on Bright Haven and its leader, the one they call Father. His original plan was to kill the current Lamb, believing he was just as bad as the previous, but upon seeing him decides to kidnap him instead.

The story that follows includes red rain shenanigans, killing zombies, and a bit of Stockholm syndrome (this is my assessment, and I love it!). Be sure to read the content warnings and protect your mental health, as this is a dark story.

This book hit me hard in the feels. My heart broke for both Lazarus and Daylan. They were both raised and treated vastly differently but they both were mistreated and abused in different ways. Let me tell you some of it was very hard to read and broke me, brought tears to my eyes to read and feel both of their suffering and hurt. Daylan is just such a good and pure soul even if he is tempted to sin by Lazarus. And Lazarus is only as wicked as the men who made him, made him to be. At his core he is good and deserves more than he got. There were some unexpected twists and I loved how it ended. These characters are so endearing and I just fell hard for them. It is well written. It was different to see this unique world of the zombie apocalypse with a cult twist. This series is seriously one of my favorites and this book was just great.

ARC Review:

Call To The Devil is book 5 of the Mayhem Manuscripts Season 1: 1nf3ction Series. They are complete standalones and can be read in any order. This one follows Lazarus and Dayan.

This one was completely different from the other ones . I loved the whole cult aspect and everyone being brainwashed.

Daylan is the “beloved Lamb” since his blood is immune and Lazarus is evil, the devil who committed murdered and was cast out supposedly killed. One good and one bad total opposites but compatible they just balance each other out.

Lazarus is seeking revenge and Daylan becomes his captive. Lazarus is intrigued and instead of killing him he keeps him. They learn about each other and Daylan learns all the lies he’s been told.

This book kept me hooked! The plot was good all those twists kept it interesting and the spice was hot.

Recommend: 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽

My heart aches for Zombies

So... this one was very deep and consuming all on its own. The message and things in this book really hit home.

I couldn't believe the pain both Lazarus and Daylan had to go through just because some people let power consume them.

This book was so good and seriously I couldn’t stop reading, because I needed to see what was going to happen.

I needed to know how karma was going to come into the picture.

The build up and the spice throughout this book was amazing and so hot. The ending was so good. Can't wait to read the next one.

I definitely recommend this book and the series. There are some triggers so please keep that in mind. Your mental health matters.

The Inf3ction series continues to deliver!
Call to the Devil dives deep into the dark heart of a cult—complete with an egomaniac leader pulling the strings.

“Father” hides behind scripture and lies, using faith and fear to keep his followers obedient while the red rains fall—the same deadly storms that unleashed the zombie virus from earlier in the series. But control only lasts so long, and when Lazarus rises for revenge against those who wronged him, everything begins to unravel.

What he doesn’t expect is Daylan—the so-called “Lamb”—to be sincere, kind, and nothing like the rest. What starts as vengeance slowly burns into something neither of them could’ve imagined.

This story was gripping, emotional, and so worth the read. The series just keeps getting better!

Poor Lazarus and Daylan! They have both had some rough pasts and frankly the cult was creepy as heck! It worked for the storyline but the amount of thought that was put into it made it soo creepily realistic… I loved it! I mean, not the actual cult but how much detail and how it explained the past of both characters. The bad guy definitely got what he deserved! Daylan and Lazarus are just what the other needs- Lazarus teaches Daylan to think for himself and Daylan shows Lazarus that not everyone is a terrible human being. I will probably reread this book soon; I just can’t get enough of them. Once Daylan breaks through Lazarus’ walls, he becomes his world, it’s soo sweet! .
I received an ARC and am happy to provide my honest review.

loved this

I found this series as I had b ripleys book on order. It’s one of the best series I’ve read in a long time. The fact that all the books have the same initial synopsis with the red rain could have been same old, same old but it really hasn’t been that way. Every book is completely different and I don’t think I’ve ever read a collection quite like this. Which is brilliant.
I love all b ripleys books and this didn’t disappoint. I loved the storyline and the characters Lazarus and daylan and the world you envisioned. Arn surprised me which made me smile.
I hope authors realise that when they write books for us, they give us so much more than words on paper

We are delightfully 6 for 6 with this series. I enjoyed delving deeper into the cult side of things with this book. Getting to see some of the differences between when Lazarus was apart of Bright Haven versus when Daylan was there was interesting. I liked the interactions between Daylan and Lazarus as they were two sides of the same coin and we got to see their differing views as well as where things overlapped. There were a few unexpected twists that kept things interesting! I’m happy I was able to read this!!

What a great dystopian read in the Inf3ction world. Daylan started living in Bright Haven when he was a child as he is immune. He has been studying the scriptures from Father and is considered the Lamb for their salvation. Lazarus is considered the devil for getting rid of the previous Lamb. As we get to read about his background, we understand why. When Daylan was kidnapped by Lazarus, and they started talking about everything, he eventually changed his way of thinking. I really love this world and cannot wait to read more.
