"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven..." Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV
While our Heavenly Father is an unchanging God, change is inevitable for us as we travel the earth in our fleshly bodies. And since it is inevitable, it would behoove us to learn to embrace it rather than resist it. However, change is uncomfortable. And who wants to be uncomfortable? But there is often a blessing in being uncomfortable. As a matter of fact, the most wonderful blessings are often found beyond your comfort zone. Oftentimes, we fight change when God is merely trying to position us for a miracle or, at the very least, a blessing.
In this short devotional, Author Adrienne Thompson shares insight about change and highlights the importance of obedience to God using her own personal experiences.
This is the first in her Flash Devotional Series and her first stand-alone, nonfiction title.
Married at sixteen, a mother twice by seventeen, and thrice a mother and divorced by twenty-four, Adrienne Thompson is no stranger to adversity. Not your typical teenage mother, she went on to complete her college degree and to earn her nursing license. She attributes God's faithfulness as the catalyst for her success in life. Now, having raised three children as a divorced mother, she is sharing a long hidden talent and passion with the world. Using the lessons that life has so expertly taught her as a guideline (betrayal, abusive relationships, self-esteem issues, witnessing the deteriorating effects of drug abuse), she has created stories that will both entertain and inspire the reader.
Adrienne currently resides in Arkansas in her newly empty nest. Formerly an RN, she now writes and publishes her stories full time. She is also a motivational speaker.

This flash devotional was awesome. I wish it was much longer. The illustrations were on point. There were thought provoking questions that one could journal. The selected scripture reinforced the thought for the day. The realistic devotional broke down another perspective for me. The author's transparency reinforced the need for me to find me an accountability partner. Thanks Ms. Thompson for your gift of writing with us! This really blessed me!
I really enjoyed this book and I have read it twice since I purchased it. Seven Days of Change reminded me that no matter what may come into your path you can not give up. Adrienne also showed that once you understand your purpose in life you will then be able to follow your dreams. My favorite chapter in this book was Praying and Staying. Quote: (Don't use prayers as your cop-out not to move your feet.
