It doesn't have too much meat. Smacks of too much holiness movement influence. Just too much emphasis on effort and far too severe: That which we call love, is not love, Natural love, in whatever relation of life it may manifest itself, whether in conjugal or freaternal affection, or in friendship, is in the eyes of God corrupt and worthless, injuring instead of benefiting the beloved object." This isn't true and isn't the commonly accepted understanding of love by Christians.
