Coffee, spicy books, and a profound disrespect for tomorrow (aka reading until four in the morning). My three favorite things.
I aim to write the kind of stories that keep you up way too late, while squealing, kicking your feet, and falling hopelessly in love with your new book boyfriend (or two... I don’t judge).
Grab that triple-shot brown sugar shaken espresso. Trust me, we’re both going to need it.
Oh my—this book is one huge, messy, unhinged, and totally unhealthy romance… and I absolutely loved it. From the very start, the author makes it clear that this story is an exploration of fantasy rather than reality, and that framing is essential. Read through that lens, the intense dynamic between Carlo, a powerful mafia capo used to absolute control, and Ginni, the delusional femboy who abducts him, becomes a bold and fascinating psychological ride.
What I appreciated most is that even while furious about being handcuffed and trapped, Carlo never truly hates Ginni. Their interactions carry an undercurrent of strange understanding, and as the story unfolds, we see the roots of Ginni’s delusions—years of isolation leaving deep emotional scars. His shifts between eerie calm logic and spiraling instability felt disturbingly believable and added real depth to the narrative.
This is not a healthy romance and would end tragically in real life, but as a dark fantasy exploring power, control, and consent dynamics, it’s incredibly gripping. Recommended for readers who enjoy morally complex, boundary-pushing mafia romances and aren’t afraid to explore darker themes.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I enjoyed this, but there were parts that seemed repetitive in their explanation. So glad Carlo finally came to his senses and Ginni gets his HEA, especially after the life he's had so far.
I received an ARC from Book Sirens for my honest review.
I received an advanced copy of Abducted by the Femboy! Thank you to the author for the chance to read and review early!
You know it’s gonna be a banger when the MC wakes up chained to a bed on the first page! “Assertive courtship” according to Giovanni. You know, Giovanni Torrini, “oh he’s sweet but psycho… a little bit psycho…” or however that Ava Max song goes 😂 he’s pretty crazy, but I kind of adore him! But for real, I have a THING for dudes that wear crop tops. And Carlo, don’t even get me started on Carlo… I mean, he had a touch-him-and-die obsession five minutes after waking up chained to a bed. So, it’s easy to say they were meant for eachother!
I enjoyed Abducted by the Femboy. It was a somewhat dark, but super sweet read (dark AND super sweet at the same time!? I know, I know. Crazy!). I really dig the Stockholm Syndrome lovers romance vibes.
34 - 21 age gap ❤️ Best friends brother ❤️ Ginni - the perfect lil twink femboy wifey ❤️ Carlo - the possessive “straight” obsessed good boy ❤️ Zero plot, insanely crazy and sexyyyy as hell 🥵
I actually really enjoyed this story despite the story being essentially the two MMCs in a kidnapped environment and no major outside characters. You learn a bit about the organisation Carlo works for and about Gianni's family but there are very limited interactions.
Carlo identifies as straight at the beginning of the book and has never had any interest in being with a man but you seen this change over time although I don't necessarily think it changes to anything except him liking Gianni. Carlo holds onto the belief he isn't falling for Gianni but even through his POVs from pre kidnapping you can see he has noticed little things about Gianni all the time. . Along with the craziness that Gianni puts Carlo through you learn just how bad Gianni's parents were to him and even his brother who Carlo thought was a good person. Despite how bad Marco was to Gianni he still wanted his brother in his life though and this made me sad. Gianni just wanted to be loved.
This book has just the right mix of happiness, romance, sadness, smut and comedy and I would recommend to mm readers who are not afraid of spice.

Talk about one sided crush for years and finally taking action in an extreme way 🤯 Ginni is such a endearing character even his reason for kidnapping Carlo is very heart achingly cute and sad because he can’t even imagine a normal scenario that will make Carlo accept him other than doing all that😭 the love he have for Carlo might be considered extreme and unhealthy but just like Carlo said it was just sooo good 🫠 the love he put in, the care, all the thoughts he have for Carlo are very precious. He basically just want to devote himself to Carlo happiness and love 🥹
But what i like in this story is how realistic the author wrote the plot, the way Carlo reacted to the whole situation and how he struggles with accepting it all at first and questioning his feelings towards Ginni. This will not be a walk in a park read if Carlo didn’t have an ounce of attraction or feelings towards Ginni which is why i get to enjoy it since Carlo did have…still he remain to make lots of kinda gentleman + green flag approach i might say. The way he try to not take advantage of Ginni state of mind towards him and find a proper care facility in hoping to help Ginni + also distance himself for awhile to analyze his true feelings ✨
I have to add that all the above + the story being an enjoyable read is due to it is fiction + with Carlo also having an attraction towards Ginni since the beginning…without all of those it will not even be a read.

“I’ve never been anyone’s muse before,” he says finally, and his voice is so soft I almost miss it.
“You’re not just my muse. You’re my everything. My inspiration, my purpose, my reason for creating anything beautiful.” The words tumble out before I can stop them, raw and honest and probably far too intense for a morning conversation. “I know it’s overwhelming, but I can’t help it. Loving you makes me want to fill the world with art.” €
“People think love is about grand gestures and dramatic declarations, but I know better. Love is in the details, the careful attention to what makes someone happy.” €
“What Ginni offered was neither normal nor sustainable. It was obsession disguised as devotion, desperation dressed up as love. The fact that it felt good doesn’t make it healthy.
But Cristo, it felt good. It felt like coming home after a lifetime of wandering. It felt like finally being seen and known and valued for exactly who I was rather than what I could provide.”

And the genius of this story is that it never tries to fix that.
From the first page, his obsession doesn’t soften, his instability doesn’t fade, and nothing about the story ever feels settled. Even when he gets his version of a happy ending, there’s no promise of healing and no reassurance that love makes this safe. He’s still manic. Still dangerous. And there’s always the quiet possibility that one day he could murder Carlo, or be tracked down by the family that made him this way. That tension never leaves, and that’s exactly what pulled me in. Once I started, it had my full attention in a way that felt almost obsessive. Ginni is next-level psycho—soft, tiny, pretty, hidden away and abused, yet frighteningly intelligent and completely detached from reality. He studies Carlo for years, plans his kidnapping in detail, anticipates every reaction, and justifies every violent impulse as love and protection. Mad. Proper mad. And somehow, I was glued.
This was my first time reading this author and my first full-length MM dark romance. I usually read novellas, but this had weight. The heat during the captivity phase was heavy and constant, exactly what I read dark romance for. When Carlo escapes and they reunite, the heat drops off completely, and I felt that. I wanted one final scene to seal it. Still, it didn’t ruin the book—the psychological tension carries everything.
The domestic scenes afterward are almost worse than the captivity, because Ginni is still wildly unstable. Knife-out unstable. Smile-and-serve-wine unstable. Carlo isn’t fixing him or saving him—he’s staying. He understands what Ginni is, romanticizes it, and chooses it. Carlo has never been loved like this before, and that realization matters.
Disturbing, obsessive, uncomfortable, and unforgettable. This is technically book three in a series, but it worked perfectly as my entry point and made me want more. Despite the drop in heat after the reunion, this was still a five-star read for me.
If you want safe, don’t read this. If you want clean redemption arcs, don’t read this. If you want manic, obsessive, psychologically messy madness with real bite? Yeah. This one does it.
Ginni is the most deranged character I’ve ever read and I love it. In no way, shape, or form is this a playbook to get the person you’re obsessed with to fall in love with you, but it was interesting to read anyway.
Carlo Benedetti is a respected mafia man, he’s feared and people don’t mess with him. So imagine his surprise when he wakes up in a basement he doesn’t recognize, chained to a bed he’s never been in. Ginni Torrini is a cunning and dangerous little thing, who’s been in love with Carlo for years, and obviously the only way to convince Carlo he’s also in love with Ginni is to drug him, kidnap him and hold him hostage until he realizes it. Nobody ever said Ginni was a sane person, but Carlo might just be crazy enough to fall for him anyway.
Reading about Ginni, seeing how his brain processes everything, it’s a perfect fantasy that he’s been willing to bring to life. He’s not the biggest in the bunch but he’s incredibly intelligent and very observant at his surroundings. Somehow he managed to pull off drugging the big bad mafia man he’s been in love with since he was 16. Just the way his mind works is fascinating.
Carlo can’t decide whether he should kill Ginni or keep him for everything he’s done. It’s a slow descent into questioning if this is Stockholm syndrome or if he actually loved Ginni back. Honestly, it’s a bit of both. The way he views Ginni over the time of his captivity, I can’t say I blame him for falling for Ginni. He’s devoted to loving and caring for Carlo and he shows Carlo what it’s like to be wanted, although, there are definitely better ways to show it rather than leaving someone chained to a bed but I digress.
I think Dante’s book will definitely be interesting just because Dante’s character is so elusive, he’s quiet and calm but he always knows what’s going on.
I received this book through BookSirens in return for an honest review.
Abducted by the Femboy was my favorite installment in this series so far. This is my third ARC from this author via BookSirens, and while I am rating it four stars, this book stood out to me for its bold premise, strong character dynamics, and unapologetically unhinged energy.
From the opening scene, the story makes its tone clear. Giovanni is obsessive, impulsive, and entirely convinced that his actions are justified by love. His perspective is chaotic but consistent, and the author leans fully into that mindset rather than softening it for reader comfort. While his behavior is extreme, the characterization remains intentional and self aware.
Carlo’s reaction to the situation adds an engaging contrast. His internal conflict escalates quickly, particularly as his possessiveness surfaces almost immediately. The chemistry between the two characters develops rapidly, but it works within the heightened, over the top framework of the story.
Despite its darker themes, the book balances intensity with moments of humor and unexpected tenderness. The romance embraces its morally questionable foundation and leans into Stockholm syndrome inspired dynamics without attempting to reframe them as something they are not. That honesty made the story more enjoyable for me overall.
The reason this did not reach a five star rating was the ending, which felt rushed compared to the pacing and buildup of the rest of the book. I would have liked more time spent on the resolution to fully settle into the conclusion.
Overall, this was an entertaining and memorable read that delivered strong chemistry, bold character choices, and a tone that will appeal to readers who enjoy dark romance with obsessive dynamics.

ARC received via BookSirens. This review reflects my honest opinion.
Carlo is used to being feared and obeyed, not drugged, tied to a bed, and confronted by Ginni — his best friend’s cute, chaotic, utterly unhinged younger brother. Ginni has always been a danger magnet in their mafia world, but this time he’s gone further than Carlo ever imagined, all in the name of proving they’re meant to be together. What should be an unforgivable betrayal becomes something far more complicated as Carlo realises he’s not as straight as he thought, and that Ginni’s obsession comes with a fierce, disarming devotion. Torn between fury, desire, and the shocking possibility that Ginni might actually be right about them, Carlo has to decide what happens when he finally gets free: walk away… or keep the feral brat who’s turned his world upside down. A wild, spicy romance about obsession, unexpected attraction, and a love story wrapped in pure chaos.
I loved this story which was a very dark romance that never pretends otherwise. Ginni’s obsession is intense, unsettling, and driven by manic episodes that make him both magnetic and deeply unpredictable. His behaviour pushes the story into genuinely disturbing territory, and the author doesn’t soften the edges of how unhinged he can be. Carlo’s struggle to navigate that chaos — while confronting his own shifting desires — gives the book its emotional tension. Their dynamic is messy, volatile, and far from healthy, yet the connection between them was impossible to look away from. If you enjoy romances that lean into darkness, instability, and morally questionable choices, this one delivers exactly that. This was an MM story with mature content.
Dear Jessica, you have to stop when the reader's heart cracks loudly, not when it's about to shatter into a thousand pieces. OMG, Ginni. I wanted to jump into the story and hug him, protect him, and above all, shake Carlos awake. Sure, the little whirlwind is a little unhinged, but that's part of his charm. The love he feels is something raw, beautiful, and so multi-layered that it's rare and therefore incredibly precious. I can't believe how long it took Carlos to understand. Just close your eyes, Carlos, then you'll feel it! And Marko... that was the next part where I wanted to jump into the story, but to do really bad things to him. My protective instinct is still burning and I... okay, I'm taking a deep breath. Anyway. I have a feeling that this series has set out to break my heart, and I'm totally on board. Anyone who doesn't read the story of these two has only themselves to blame. Ginni, to me you are a wonderful, chaotic, and creative being, and I would be honored to be your friend.
I’ll preface this by saying that I did not read the first two books in the series. The promise of a psychotic twink was too much temptation for me. With that being said, in no way did I feel lost or like I was missing information as I read.
Ginni was an absolute delight. Deranged to be sure. Living in his own world. Cuckoo for coco puffs. But I was living for it. And who could blame the poor guy. His family was atrocious. But Carlo. Ah. Carlo was this perfect match for him once he actually got past his hang ups. Mafia guy admitting he likes a little loony twink is a big step for him. But they did pair up so nicely. Ginni, for all of his issues and delusions, just wanted someone to love. More importantly, he just wanted someone to SEE him. Carlo did that for him.
Did I have to roll my eyes a time or two? Yes. Did I have to suspend my belief? Yup. But I don’t care. This was a fun read that had all the dark and deranged things I love. Would definitely recommend.
I do wonder though, why no follow up with Marco and Carlo? Cause I really think Marco deserved a punch or ten. 🤷🏻♀️
I was a bit unsure about this book. But I must honestly admit that I was pleasantly surprised by the story. It had body and what kind of body. Carlo Benedetti, is kidnapped by Ginni [Giovanni Torrini], the black sheep of his family. Untreatable and unmanageable. But he has been in love with Carlo all his life. quote: "Beautiful, brilliant, and absolutely f*ing unhinged'. The big boss and a dangerous man. But that really doesn't stop him. "quote: he is insane. Completely and utterly f*ing batshit bonkers". It was really a pleasant surprise, deep emotions and feelings and I really couldn't stop reading. I felt sorry for Carlo in the beginning, but that quickly passed. Ginni sometimes broke my heart herself, so damaged and yet just normal. Certainly normal than that so-called family of his. The more we learn about this dynamic duo, the more you see them as a possible couple. How else can you see it quote: this is kidnapping. I prefer assertive courtship." Yes, I really enjoyed this book.
Abducted by the Femboy is a chaotic, spicy MM romance that leans into obsession, humour and unexpected tenderness. What starts as an outrageous kidnapping quickly turns into a strangely heartfelt story, as Carlo’s certainty about who he is—and who he’s attracted to—begins to unravel in the face of Ginni’s unfiltered devotion.
Ginni is delightfully unhinged yet emotionally vulnerable, and as more of his past comes to light, his behaviour feels less like madness for shock value and more like desperation shaped by neglect. Carlo’s gradual shift from outrage to protectiveness is handled with surprising warmth, giving the romance room to grow beneath the spice.
Bold, kinky and oddly sweet, this is a fast-paced read that balances dark humour with genuine feeling, delivering a guaranteed HEA for readers who enjoy their romances a little feral and very intense.

This book is deliciously unhinged in the best possible way! Ginni is an absolute riot — a chaotic, adorable, knife-happy femboy who decides the only way to win his crush is to drug him, kidnap him, and chain him to his bed. Carlo, the powerful mafia man, starts off furious… but quickly realizes his captor is dangerously charming.
The chemistry between them is electric, the spice is frequent and creative, and Ginni’s delusional-but-sweet obsession makes the story surprisingly heartwarming at times. Yes, it’s dark and completely over-the-top, but that’s exactly what makes it so fun.
If you love possessive “you’re mine” energy, dark humor, and a very determined femboy who will do anything for love (including stabbing a cop), this is a wild, spicy ride you won’t forget.
Check the warnings — this one is delightfully twisted!
Highly entertaining and addictive. I had a great time!

This book follows along in the My Mobster series by Jessica Jackman. The books are connected and some of the other MCs do appear, but you could start here without reading the others if you wanted to, as the story is character driven. The book is insular in that most of the story takes place in the basement where Ginni lives, with Carlo chained to Ginni’s bed. The basement is part of the wealthy family house, the surroundings are plush, and Ginni has everything he needs — well, except for a window and someone to love.
If you are looking for a book with an over-the-top premise that works in the end, this would be one to try.
Well, that was fun. I have seen obsessional love before and seen it in the papers irl, add in the delusions and I am really like this author can write romance off the chain so well. I loved Ginny so much, I mean who wouldn't want to see what lengths a man with OCD and delusions and obsessions would go, and months in the planning too. But wait, what did Ginny's parents do to him? Why was he kept in a basement? Where is basic human decency? I get it now. And Carlo didn't hate him, he cared for him? This just keeps getting better and better. No seriously this was well written( with a few too many words), but a sweet premise, a man a mafia man could love and be proud of. A brave man actually. And the scene at the dinner party with the knife and Carlo's capable way of curtailing it, chef's kiss. Also nice to see Dario and Molly again.
This is the first book I have read by Jessica and I absolutely loved it... I fell in love with Ginni right from the start. This adorable , traumatised and passionate (deadly) 21 year old femboy has had such a hard life and nobody to love him like he deserves and needs. He is witty and can be a brat and always tries to smile, even when he doesnt feel happy. He has been in love with Carlo since he was 16 💝
Then Carlo, who is a big, strong capo in the Mafia who never has and can't show his softer side gets abducted by Ginni 🤣. This is the exact reason I had to read this book. Even though this drew me in, the actual story is full of emotion, longing/playing the long game, love, trauma and exceptence. Wow, what a story. 🌶 🌶 🌶. 5 Highly recommend you read it!
The year just started but can confidently say this is going to be a top read for the year. Ginni's been in love with Carlo for years, his older brother's best friend. Well, Ginni's done waiting around for Carlo and decides to kick start their relationship on his own terms, via a legendary "assertive courtship".
Words can't express how much I love Ginni. Is he delusional? Does he have a touch of madness? Absolutely, without a doubt. He's also painfully endearing, sweet, and achingly fragile. He's the definition of loving with your whole entire heart. Love that his delulu manifested into real life with the most perfect HEA 🥹
Fast burn, high heat, found family, and charmingly unhinged. Will definitely re-read this before the year is over.
This was an intense, emotionally charged read that pulled me in right away. Ginni is impossible to ignore, bold and chaotic on the surface, but with a vulnerability underneath that made me genuinely root for him. Carlo surprised me too, and I enjoyed watching his feelings shift and deepen as the story unfolded. The tension stays strong throughout, and the dynamic between Ginni and Carlo is messy, compelling, and unexpectedly tender at times. It’s a darker romance, but it still has plenty of heart, and the emotional stakes kept me turning pages. If you enjoy MM romances with high intensity, complicated feelings, and a relationship that develops under pressure, this is one I’d definitely recommend.
I have never hated a MC more.. It’s just, the entire relationship is Stockholm Syndrome. There is no other way to describe it, even if it’s well written with pretty words. I completely wanted Carlo to escape and kill Ginni. I still wish it happened. I wanted Carlo to tell his friends the truth about his abduction and get his revenge.
And I really need to point out that there is non-consensual r*pe between the MC’s. It’s blatant and occurs multiple times. Just because they experienced pleasure and it was romanticized doesn’t take away the non-consent. This bothered me a lot.
Edit; Originally rated 1 star. Changed to 5 stars because despite my opinions, the book is very well written and deserving.
Such an intense read! Ginni is a tragic hero who has been put down for the majority of his life. So when he gets the one acknowledgment from Carlo: his infatuation blooms to obsession and he starts to plan out their ideal future together.
I really felt Ginni's emotions throughout the story, how unsettling and desperate it is. He's trying so hard to achieve a happiness that others mocked him for and I think that's beautiful. Even if it's a bit criminal…
I definitely recommend if you're into a hero who's planned a happily ever after for a beloved that doesn't know it yet.

I don’t know what I was expecting, but nothing could have prepared me for this wild ride. Most of the book is Ginni’s living out his delusion after kidnapping Carlo, declaring his undying love and devotion, ready to prove he can be the perfect “wife” for Carlo in every way possible. He then goes on to prove it through his actions and the fantasies he weaves as he lays out his dream. Carlo is initially resistant, but as he sees the fragile, damaged man behind the facade, he is also drawn to Ginni, able to appreciate the long term care and planning that has gone into his captivity, the observation, research, creativity, intuition, focus, organization and love that has culminated in this strange, yet somehow right interlude with a man who knows him better than he does himself. Carlo is a disciplined, practical, ruthless man who is confused by his reactions to Ginni and the whole situation, wondering if he is experiencing Stockholm Syndrome as feelings develop for this beautiful man, even though escape is still in his mind. I wasn’t sure where the book could go or how it could or would be possible for these two to actually be together in a “normal” way, but the author managed that beautifully, leaving me feeling satisfied that all was right and well in Ginni and Carlo’s world.
I think the author did a fantastic job pulling the reader into Ginni’s world, seeing things through Ginni’s eyes and his amazing mind, riding the manic phases as well as the well-thought out practicalities of his plans with almost nothing left to chance, and Carlo did react in many of the ways Ginni expected he would. Learning Ginni’s background explained a lot about his personality and motivation, and it had a profound impact on Carlo, too. Even though Carlo had known Ginni for several years, he had no idea of what Ginni experienced on a regular basis, and he was able to understand and appreciate so much more about this amazing yet damaged man. I adored Ginni and all the creative parts of him, and yes, it’s a romance, so we know he will get his man. They both deserved each other.
If you like the unexpected with fascinating and complex characters in a very unusual situation, throw in lots of heated sexy times and a grand, well-executed delusion, this book is a must read. You’ll have no idea what you’re getting into, but I think you’ll enjoy the ride.
I received an advance copy for free and this is my voluntary review.
Ginni is completely unhinged, there’s no two ways about it. Somehow he still manages to be endearing and even more so when he opens up about things that happened when he was younger. I think I expected more from Carlo, both in not accepting the situation he was in but also in terms of some type of showdown with Marco. The prison element didn’t quite work for me, given Ginni’s history an institution would probably have worked just as well but I suppose it did lend itself to a moment with Liam from the previous book. I enjoyed this but you do need to suspend belief somewhat. Oh, and Ginni is still unhinged at the end of the book.
This book was absolutely OTT and requires the suspension of disbelief. I loved every second of it.
Some authors ask you to let too much go to accept the story they are telling. This was the perfect amount because Ginni is an absolute menace and the sweetest broken boy. You want nothing but good things for him.
This highlights the harm of not accepting people as they are. Also how healing it is when people finally are loved unconditionally.
This book is completely ridiculous, deeply unhealthy, weirdly sweet, and somehow… it works. What starts as full-blown “dude, that is a felony” gradually reveals an emotional core that caught me off guard, and I ended up way more invested than I expected. Ginni is adorably, alarmingly unhinged while Carlo is trying very hard to remain the only sane person in the room. It does wobble a bit in the second half with some emotional back-and-forth, so it wasn’t quite a five-star read for me, but it was absolutely entertaining from start to finish.
This book was disturbing. I honestly thought more free will would eventually come into play given that the blurb gives it away that Carlo is kidnapped by Ginny right from the beginning, but Carlo is basically held captive through the vast majority of this story. Every time he tugged on his handcuffs, I felt a frustration on his behalf. There’s a lot of dub-con, bordering on non-con in this book and definitely a non-traditional romance. I would’ve enjoyed this more if Carlo had more free will.
If I could give this more than 5 stars I would, my only problem with this book is I wanted it to be longer. I could read multiple books about Carlo and Ginni. This will be a book I reread again and again. Poor sweet Ginni I’m so glad he got the hea he deserved and longed for so much. Really looking forward to the next book in the series!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I honestly wasn’t sure if I would like this. But I sure did. I mean crazy AF femboy kidnaps capo. Sign me up. It was unhinged. Being inside the mind of Ginni just wow. I felt the manic. It was sweet and some part but crazy in other. Definitely a really good mixture. It works for them. I mean it is far fetched but honestly why would I want to read something that was normal. Nope. I would totally recommend. The writing was really good and the story was interesting
