I've always been found of sailing, racing in many regattas thoughout the years and a couple of regional and national races in the Thistle class. I had a chance to visit and sail on one of the older America's cup boats kept at the Annapolis Naval Academy and they are quick, slick, and noisy boats. This book is the story, told by Dennis Conner who was the first American to lose the America's Cup and win it back. Great story and one not likely to be repeated in the near future where are chances have not been very good and where a skipper such as Dennis has been sorely lacking of late.

Dennis Conner, I met him and had a photo taken by my son Brett aboard "America" in Channel Island Harbor, Oxnard, CA. Pretty cool.

The book is an interesting read and Conner's personality shows forth on every page.
