More drama then trailing
Disclaimer I thought there would be more events going on as is trail ride is in the title. But nevertheless, it does cover siblings living their drama filled lives. I will just say that oh my gosh, I wish they weren’t all the same the semi similar situations. I would love to have seen some of the siblings maybe in a happy relationship so therefore another sibling can look and say that’s what I aspire to have. That cliffhanger gave me the most juicy bit of drama in this book and I love that I feel like that was my favorite book.

Nothing about this title prepared me for the fact that I'd be reading POVs from an entire family. Why??
My favorite brother was Amir cause he wasn't out here on some foolishness, just trying to be a good father to his son.
Onyx was interesting, and it was nice that he finally got serious about one woman and wanted to do right by her, but he was out here living foul and had the gall to be upset when that ish had consequences. Things will, for sure, stay interesting with the way he started this new relationship. Having said that, Chapter 1 was FIRE. Goodness.
Orion was another good dude, just doing right by his lady and her son. He really stepped up with her and it's about to be on, with that ending. Having said that, there is an error where she says her husband has been dead for twenty months, and he says he's been dead almost a year.
Serenity should have been named Stupidity. Ma'am, there is no way you have some dude making a fool out of you, talking about all this time you put in. Two years?? Ma'am be serious, please.
Charisma always spoke like she was Iyanla Vanzant. Ma'am, who just speaks like this in regular life? Skim, skim, skim.
I had trouble parsing these people with a family with money. Yes, y'all got it out the mud, but hmmm. And the flaunting of the wealth and constantly reminding the reader how rich they were made me roll my eyes. Also, we just out here shooting up places and people with no repercussions whatsoever?
Having said that, parts of the book are hilarious and I will be present for book 2, if only to see what happens with Orion. Also, want to see Onyx and Amir. This author writes well, and it's refreshing to read urban books that are decently edited, not riddled with grammatical and spelling errors. We can forgive a few here and there.

I thought Lucian was a damn mess in "Wives Of The Country Boyz Cartel" but his cousin Onyx got him beat. Onyx is seriously a whole unhinged hoe. He have a habit of dealing with women who's already taken. I knew sooner or later he was going to end up in some bs behind messing with Siyah after her husband caught them and Onyx dgaf about it either. He was a proud hoe. I couldn't do anything but laugh at his silly ass. For him and Orion to be twin's. They're very different when it comes to women. However Raina have Onyx stepping out of character and changing his views on being with one woman but there's a problem. Raina is engaged to Onyx father business partner but once again. Onyx dgaf. Raina should've ended her relationship with Philando. First she wasn't in love with the man because he's old enough to be her father. Secondly because nothing good will come from it when the truth comes out. Orion is a lover but when it comes to his siblings Amir, Onyx, Serenity, and Charisma as well as their mother and father. He'll turn into a beast. I love the bond between the siblings and their parents. It was good to see Ace, Lucian, and Ace appear in this book. I knew Orion was smitten with Charm the first time he saw her. The both of them deserved happiness. Charm was a sweetheart. Widowed with a young son. Orion definitely applied pressure when it came to her. Amir being the oldest siblings was the laid back one as well until it came to his siblings, parents, and son. He have a trifling, simple minded, dumb ass baby momma. Amir went to prison trying to protect Regina only for her to be doing the same thing and putting their son life in danger. I was glad Serenity and Charisma stomped a hole in Regina ass. Serenity is like the female version of Orion when he comes to family and matter's of the heart. I just wish she leave Leek trifling ass alone because he don't respect her or their relationship. She have already crashed out on him. Charisma been hurt before and isn't looking for love. Watching what her little sister Serenity is going through with Leek. Have Charisma sticking to not being in a relationship. The way this ended. I knew something bad was going to happen. Raina is pregnant and her and Onyx are happy about it but I have a strong feeling. Philando knows something. Somebody have snatched up Raina. I definitely didn't see this plot twist with Charm and Orion while on their trip. Charm have saw a ghost from her past. Everything she thought she knew about her deceased husband Jake is a lie.

Book was so good I felt so bad for king, the fact that ole girl husband shot my boy in the back was a bitch mood 😂 but I absolutely love onyx and want a cowboy with a crazy ass family and a black card lol. When it was said I make her weak to her knees and it’s my every day purpose to stay on her mental!😳 Them brothers that sister is a team . That daddy plays no games. Rainer didn’t know how much that man adored her my god come on Kelsi with the banger. 10/10 highly recommend

3.5 ⭐️ Multiple POVs
I went into this thinking I was going to follow two people, Onyx and Raina. Chile, there are 6 different POVs in this story. I'm glad that it ends on a cliffhanger because a) I liked what I've read so far and b) that means there's more explaining to do because some character's and their stories felt incomplete. I'll be tuning in for book 2 to see how it all plays out.

Looks like Jake got a lot of explaining to do. If he's also the brother Jake then he done got his sister in some shyt. Onyx gonna go ballistic if Raina or his unborn get harmed. He's gonna go ballistic anyway because she was kidnapped. For Jake to do that to his wife and son then he deserves what ever consequences he will face. I'm glad Charm has Orion to see her through this mess.💟💟

honestly… this book went nowhere, which is hilarious considering the fact that it was all over the place too. i’m still trying to understand wth was supposed to happen? the random plot twists at the end may have been my highlight of the book, but even they weren’t enough to get me to pick up the next book in the series. with all love and no shade, i’m hoping the next one at least has a plot… and some progression (hope i’m not being too greedy)

First time reading this author but I loved the story! I need book two expeditiously! Hiding in Tulum with a new family is a crazy twist!! I need to know how this is going to unfold. Kidnapping, pregnancy and dead husbands was a crazy way to end this book but I’m invested.

DNF’d at like 15% because these title was misleading af. I thought I was about to get some real cowboys in this book, whole time it’s more a black billionaire drama. I’m sure trails probably show up at some point but just from the first couple of chapters I was over it.

The title didn't meet my thoughts/expectations of the book. there were too many POVs and storylines that were not finished and I felt like I needed a notebook to keep track of which character/storyline. the way it ended, I could potentially read the sequel.

Wow! What a cliffhanger! I can't wait to see how Charm's husband is alive and well and seems to have another family. I had a feeling that Raina was gonna be taken! Im knowing already that the Chromaty twins will handle their situation! I pray that Amir's son comes out of his coma and I hope Charisma finds true love in her new cowboy, Grit! Im so looking forward to next installment.
