This was such an interesting story. It got my attention because the main character is a black princess with powers. How often do we see that?! Never!
I loved the cursed powers, all of the magic elements, and the diversity of each kingdom.
This book had a lot of story building and it was executed pretty well. The main character was 19 and majority of the other characters were equal in age or older so that was a plus for me!
Lenora grew so much throughout the book. No matter what challenges she faced, she faced them head on and never backed down. Her determination was inspiring! Xander and Lawrence’s protectiveness over Lenora was a wonderful touch. Also, their banter between each other was hilarious.
But out of everyone my two favorite characters were Manny and Carlos. 😂 their bickering between each other and such drastic differences in personality really added to the story.
