I don’t know why I thought this was going to be one of them stuff & giggles after reading about Mr. Steele 🫣🤣🥰! A toxic relationship regardless of type is not good for anyone’s mental or emotional state. It can cause you to be the person you don’t recognize. But a relationship with secrets is never good -🫣! Let’s chat!
First of all Meelah gets all the props with how she handled Messiah and their relationship. As adults everyone should be taken accountability for their actions, however, ya boy thought other wise. What woman don’t want their man doing sometime with self and making their own money? Meelah just wanted him to do better for himself and make his money. It’s only so much a woman going to take but I’m enough is enough. After dealing with heartbreak, getting closure, ya girl hit with a secret told by Messiah that left me speechless and surprised😳🫣😳!
Messiah was that statistic 🥷🏽! That man that takes forever to grow up and be a man. You know that fast money life, but what crazy is he has a rap career. He loves Meelah, but he just couldn’t love her correctly or the way she deserves. But that secret once out. Listen, I’m still not ready 🫣🤣. What I will say is, people better stop playing with KARMA! What’s done in the dark will always come to the light. Just glad he bow downed with some grace 🤣.
All I’m going to say is Tray and Royal is a hot mess -🤣! This was a nice quick read! Hope the author do write something with Tray &. Royal!! But I have to ask- what would you do if you knew your man was wearing panties 🫣🤣?

Whew. Bestie. This was a short story but baby… the drama? The tension? The MYSTERY?? It gave so much in just a few pages.
So here’s the vibe (no spoilers, pinky promise): Meelah’s in one of those situationships that got her emotionally tap dancing around her own boundaries. Messiah is fine, but TOXIC. Emotionally unavailable. Disappearing acts. Whole lotta gaslighting. After one last chaotic night, sis finds her lace panties in his bag—and they smell like him. That was her last straw. She kicks him out and says goodbye for good.
But the real gag? What he was doing with her panties was NOT what I expected. Like I was sitting there blinking like “wait… hold on… OH.”
Now enter Andre. Kind, stable, emotionally safe. The anti-Messiah. And even though Meelah rebounds with him at first, she pulls back, does some healing, and a year later—BAM. Friendship turns to forever.
But y’all… I’m torn. I still don’t know if Meelah actually healed or if she just chose the safer route. And as messy as Messiah was? He grew. He learned. And he deserved a space to do that without being instantly judged. Meelah had every right to walk away—but did she ever make him feel safe enough to be honest?
This book had me over here psychoanalyzing fictional men like it was my job 😂 And Robin did THAT. Made me feel, made me question, made me wanna see a whole new story for Messiah. 'Cause honestly? He deserves a second shot with someone who can hold his chaos without flinching.
What it gave:

relationship that they only could understand. The breakups to makeup to really calling it quits. Not for nothing after their last encounter Meelah finds her pantries in his duffle and everything goes left……
Messiah leading a double life: rap star and hustla/panty wearer. He hid this from everyone that matter until an opp found his moms phone and went to snooping after the rumors of his church going mom was out them streets…….
Yall this is a quick lil messy good read that you need to read!!

I know it said short messy story but goodness Robin!! You knew exactly what you were doing writing the heck out of this just enough to have us hooked and ready for the next hit. And I guess I love toxic cause I want her with Messaiah. I feel like he done got himself together to fight for her.. but we shall see if we get more..

Messy, Short & To The Point
This book was every bit of messy and funny. I thought the title was going to be a little misleading, but it definitely did not disappoint. Meelah & Mesiah pissed me off from the jump & I’m still a little upset with them lol. I might get over it in the next book, and I’m interested to see where they end up. Can’t wait to continue diving into this author’s catalog.

Surprise Fire Read!
This was recommended and was said to not be what I thought. True. It was wayyyy better. Quick but packed with ooooohs and whatttttts. It’s just what some of us need. I kinda routed for the Main Couple and at the same time understood the space and individual growth needed. It’s over, orrrr is it? Does the snobby Royal and Fab meet some karma for being petty?

I thought this was going in a direction that would answer my question. Why was he strapped for cash, when he quickly got money and repaid Tray? Olive Andre & Meelah. I think they deserve happiness and not toxic drama.
