“Click, Curse, Corpse”, the second installment in Felicity Green’s “Ghost Photographer Cozy Mystery Series”, not only met but exceeded my expectations. This captivating sequel plunges readers back into the supernatural world of Liv, a Seven Witch whose unique gift allows her to see ghosts through her camera lens. Driven by a sense of duty, she helps these lingering spirits uncover the reasons behind their unrest and guides them toward peace, often finding herself entangled in unresolved crimes along the way. This time, the mystery strikes close to home when a shocking death occurs onstage at the Fairwyck Theatre, which Liv co-owns. The tragedy reawakens rumours of an old curse, one severe enough to have shut the theatre down years ago, until Liv and her friend revived it. Now, with another life lost, Liv is determined to solve the murder, aided (and occasionally thwarted) by a benevolent resident ghost and a more sinister resident ghost. The pacing is impeccable, with relentless twists that kept me eagerly turning pages. Having been introduced to the series’ vibrant cast in the first book, I loved seeing familiar faces return, especially Liv’s children, Blake and Audrey, whose burgeoning magical abilities add depth to the story. The extended family’s established gifts also play a key role in unraveling the mystery, making the investigative process a delightful ensemble effort. Beyond the central whodunit, Green deftly weaves in themes of betrayal, jealousy, love, and the enduring bonds of family, elevating this cozy mystery into a richer, more emotionally resonant read. While “Click, Curse, Corpse” works perfectly as a standalone, my prior knowledge of the characters’ backstories deepened my connection to the story, so I’d highly recommend starting with the first book for maximum enjoyment. A spellbinding blend of supernatural intrigue, clever sleuthing, and heartfelt relationships, this book is a must-read for paranormal cozy mystery fans. I absolutely loved it!
With Marmalade the cat having her reincarnated Great Aunt Ethel, her two intuitive children and a fledgling theatre to get off the ground, the scene is set the stage is ready but there’s something occur to make Liv Seven the ghost photographer more than unsteady besides the family’s magical secrets she’s got in a knot with. Her leading lady in the Twelfth Night play drops down dead causing dismay and dread at rehearsal causing a great cast dispersal. When a ghostly figure does appear in her promotional photos she’s certainly not buying the rumours and hype of picturesque village of Fairwyck’s residents regarding a curse on her beloved theatre going back centuries. She and a friend re-opened after the theatre’s many incidents caused it to close in the past . Liv is determined that history will not repeat as long as she’s in the hot-seat dang and blast. With her trusty cat/ Great Aunt Ethel and a few close friends she’s got to comprehend what’s going on when other accidents occur on set ,it’s no good just getting upset she must discover the person/persons who’s causing harm and confront the ghosts that refuse to rest. There’s a pull between helpful and sinister with these ghosts at unrest but they do help out at her behest. New characters and old make for an excellently instant immersion into her world and what Liv has going on , her children play their part with their own gifts ..But it’s Liv who must conjure the magic lying in her blood and protect her family by golly she would. There’s humour and fun as well as the occasional pun that is spun and weaved so well . Felicity Green always has me in her spell when she writes ,so vivid are the scenes and situations and the comedy banter, the cosy atmosphere and magical air almost makes me want to go there! The storytelling is mightily compelling to read with greed and gusto . And the storyline is divine if you must know .
Click, Curse, Corpse is a cozy and exciting mystery that mixes everyday life with just the right touch of the supernatural. The main character is easy to care about, especially as she looks after her children, who each have their own special magical talent; the love and protection she shows them are truly heartwarming. The story is also about true friendship and the comfort of having family and close ones by your side when things get tough. With its warm characters, hints of magic, and plenty of suspense, this book is a delightful read that leaves you wanting more.

This is one of the rare cases that the sequel is actually better than the original book. This book featured a darker, more intense mystery that the first and I loved that.
I do think that the romance was a bit abrupt and dry. It was okay, though, since it's not primarily a romance novel.
The ending was wild - I won't add any spoilers, but I'm looking forward to the next book!
