One group chat. Four soup-loving women. And a dating bet no one expected to work.
When Lydia, a Texan with a serious chili obsession, replies to a stranger’s post about hot and sour soup, she doesn’t expect it to spark a global friendship. But soon she’s trading recipes - and secrets - with Clara, a fiery journalist in Brazil, Mei Ling, a razor-sharp artist in Shanghai, and Sofia, a brooding Roman sous chef who believes soup should be poetic (and men should be better).
What begins as a cozy online chat quickly simmers into something much more a pact to date just for the soup.
Literally.
Each woman must go on dates solely for the purpose of trying new soups, and if romance just happens to show up? Even better.
From absurd dates with soup snobs and startup bros to spicy ramen flings and soup-lecturing sommeliers, these women navigate love, laughter and ladles of emotional growth, all while proving that the best things in life are served hot… and preferably with crusty bread on the side.
Sassy, sweet, and stirred with just the right amount of heat, The Soup Sisters is a delicious romantic comedy about friendship, food and finding love when you least expect it - often somewhere between the first spoonful and the second helping.

ahhhhh! I absolutely adored this. Yes, it is a romcom, but thar didn't stand out to me as much as the friendship side. The friendships that were found and built because of a shared love of soup. Four women came together from different places of the world and created a bond that most strive for in friendships. Something I feel like I've found with the misfits. Romance still plays a part, and you see the lows with the highs and the struggles. You see the hurt, and you see the excitement... you see the work to get past degrading words. You see the support. This book has so many soup recipes, and I can't wait to see the companion cook book that is to come... but is there a buffalo wing soup recipe??
The Soup Sisters is a fun loving Romcom about 4 wonderful women who connect online from the love of soup!! Who would have imagined soup can bring people together from all over the world! This is amazing! Lydia a teacher from Texas, Clara, a fiery journalist in Brazil, Mei Ling, an artist in Shanghai, and Sofia, from Rome. These 4 ladies bring an amazing combination of personalities, love, laughter and fun to the story. And it all started online and grew into true real life friendships and a new found family. They not only found new recipes for their love of soup, but they all found love from a quirky lil scheme of dating men to take them to find soup!
I found this story so relatable! Just like these ladies found each other through soup, I’ve found my own “sisters” through a love of reading. These are the people who laugh with me, cry with me, and make life’s joys even sweeter—just like this book did. The Soup Sisters is cozy, uplifting, and impossible to put down.
I’m already counting down the days until the recipe book comes out! 🥣❤️
I found Colleen's book out on a whim. Let me just say this... This book is so adorable and sweet. This story reminded me of the start of my Online friendship with my best friend and how it has grown to a small group of caring and loving friends. The characters were so diverse but also so funny and relatable. Do not get me started on Ben. Hehehe I love Ben is so sweet and HAWT. 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a cute cozy read about the love from friendships.
It's a super cute and refreshing read—perfect for the fall. The story follows four friends who met online and turned their love for soup into lifelong friendships. What started as sharing recipes turned into so much more through dates to see who could find the best soup and share it with the others. I loved Lydia, and I am so happy how this book ended. This reminded me so much of my bookish misfits
What an enchanting book Soup Sisters was. It was so uniquely charming following four friends who met in an online recipe chat group. Not only was the story so fun to be a part of, because you felt like you were an additional member of the group, but it intertwined actual soup recipes. The author truly captivated me and I can’t wait to read more of her books.
