This book isn’t for everyone. My FMC isn’t polite, good-natured, or easy to love—and that’s exactly why her story matters. She is unapologetically stubborn and mouthy. This is a dark werewolf why-choose romance. The MMCs in this book are super territorial and OTT alpha-holes.
Kira
I took them in, believing they had nothing. I naively gave them my heart, thinking they had been just ordinary alpha males. I was ignorant of their explosive tempers and mad possessiveness. Little did I know, I had become ensnared in the clutches of the most powerful werewolves to ever walk the earth. Neither of them would ever let me win their twisted, deceitful games.
Ocean
I came to the human world to eradicate the mortal civilization and forge a kingdom. One where werewolves reigned with humans, who were reduced to our slaves.
Nobody could stop this ascent; there was no way mankind could be protected. However, a tiny, unassuming, human woman had crossed our paths and unleashed chaos in our lives. It was at her hands that our downfall commenced.
Gerard
I left my pack to travel the mortal world, in search of my half brother. Who would've thought I was going to return with my mate by my side. It turned out, she was a mortal female. Not just any ordinary evanescent, she was a human, capable of toppling the very foundation of our lineage; it was simply because she ruled over our hearts.

Story didn't make sense, there's a lot of plot holes. The characters are also really inconsistent; its not that the FMC is mouthy & stubborn, its that a lot of what's said doesn't make sense in the context of the story and their actions don't match what they are saying throughout the whole book (without the character growth that would make this make sense).
If I could give this no stars I would. I've read many wolf shifter smut and this one is not it!!!
Im all for a mouthy FMC but in this book she come across as stuck up, bitter, and insulting to everyone even the housekeeper. The plot itself isn't all that great either. The MMC's solution to her insults and basically everything that happens in this book is to have sex and the spice associated with the dialog isn't good either.
Forewarning, this book ain’t for the faint of heart.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
This story behind Bound by The Alpha Kings, is not a lighthearted story where the girl gets both guys. Sort of.
It’s heavy, every scene left my heart begging for more and aching for our main female lead, Kira. A self made woman’s who’s instincts have landed her right between the two half brother alphas. While she’s witty and sassy, a professional in her field. Even she can’t resist the primal urge coming off of these guys!
Ocean and Gerard are two peas of a very dangerous, spicy, and ruthless pod. Both have proven, that in their own twisted ways they love her dearly. Willing to burn the world, or eat people, for her.
I personally ate it up in no time. The twists and turns involved kept me hooked!! It truly dove into the harrowing experience of being stuck between your mind, heart, and your bodily pleasure. This book had my heart absolutely racing.
This books has heavy warnings and various serious triggers. Please keep your mental health in mind when reading. All the love!!
Triggers/Warnings: - Dub and Non Con are present within the book - Unacted Self Immolation - Period Play - Forced Knotting - Breeding/Pregnancy.
I love a werewolf shifter book and I was so excited to read it but 1/3 in I realised it wasn’t for me. I still finished it because I was hoping it would improve but sadly it didn’t.
The storyline has potential but the characters behaviour was just childish and for grown adults the FMC spoke like she was still in high school, her behaviours especially were very odd for the character she was portraying as. The two MMCs were better but by the end the story didn’t read as a possessive overprotective relationship but more as an abusive forced relationship, yes they had sweet moments but the bad outweighed the good. And as much as I love a good smutty scene, there were just a few too many. It might be better for other people but for me it just wasn’t my kinda read.
This was a fever dream on acid. A car crash that you can't look away from despite how horrible it is. I haven't read a book this bad in a very long time.
It felt like getting trapped in someone else's hallucination. There’s no plot. None. It’s like the author opened a Word doc, typed whatever they remembered from a bad wet dream at 3 a.m., and said “good enough.”
And the characters? Calling them “characters” is generous. Cardboard silhouettes that occasionally speak in cryptic nonsense and lots of unnecessary swearing is more like it. Every time someone opened their mouth, I could feel my last functioning brain cell packing its bags and walking out. The conversations (some only lasting two sentences) weren't even consistent or linear. Just a random mess from one section to the other.
The scene changes were just as confusing and unorganized. I got literal whiplash going back and forth, trying to figure out what point the author was trying to make. The story wasn't much better. It wanders around like it has a concussion. No direction. No purpose. No clue. There's barley literacy. It’s literally vibes only, except the vibes aren’t even fun, they’re just confusing and slightly concerning. It’s all just random noise, swearing and nonsensical.
By the end, I wasn’t sure if I’d finished a book or experienced a psychological experiment gone wrong. This book didn’t just fail to tell a story; it failed to do the bare minimum required to be considered writing. I will admit it was so bad I did finish it (with some heavy speed reading and Chapter skipping) but thankfully it was only a waste of 30 minutes of my life. Anymore and I'd be p*ssed. How anyone is giving this above 1 starts idk. Maybe they're also illiterate.
Read at your own disrection & take note of the triggers!
My rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book is not for the faint hearted.
Thanks to Lotus Veda/St Roran for giving me access to this ARC/Relaunch.
As I said this isnt for the faint hearted. The girl gets the two MMC's - but is constantly torn.
It is a heavy book, but once I started reading it. I couldn't stop! Every scene left me wanting to read more and aching for how the MFC Kira was dealing with everything.
From the start Kira's life was shit, until she became a strong independent woman. Shes a strong willed and strong headed woman. A professional in her field of chosen work and extremely sassy, she cannot resist the pull of these 2 primal raw males.
Although they are family. They are ying and yang, 2 spicy peas from the same spicy pod , dangerous, possessive and Ruthless when it comes to Kira. They will burn through the world and beyond if it means protecting her.
Throughout it all it also truely reflected the feelings of someone going through mental and emotional turmoil of their head and their heart, aswell as their body. Her head knew shit wasn't right, but her heart and her body reacted differently.
The twists, turns and heartache had me spinning & I had to tear myself away at 3am to sleep and woke up and started reading it again. All in all in less than 24 hours im finished!
This books does come with a number of warnings and serious triggers so do take notice and take care of your own mental health when reading it.
This book is a wild ride. First and foremost its needs to be noted that this is a DARK romance with morally black MMCs. Read the triggers before proceeding.
We start with Kira who is a strong, independent and high achieving FMC who finds herself drawn to these two brothers (who share her). It's clear that Kira's draw to these boys stems from her experiences as a child watching how her dad treated her mom and how he seemed to hold her under his control by exploiting their physical relationship. Kira starts to fall down the same path.
I like that we get the inner monologue of Kira as she battles her thoughts and actions pertaining to these two men. Most of the book is told from Kira's perspective, but we do get a handful of chapters from each of the guys.
When the guys are done waiting for Kira to come around, they claim her and take her to their world where everything she knows and believe is turned upside down. This is where the real rollercoaster of events happen. Once the boys take Kira back, we are now tossed into a world where the shifters rule over the humans and other fantastical beings. There is magic, power exchange, and extreme actions to get points across. These alphas were not meant to choose a human, so we get to see lots of struggles politically, biologically, emotionally, physically with this added twist.
Again - keep in mind the MMCs are morally black. They want what they want and they will get what they want.
I really wish I liked this book. I tried so hard to stick through and kept telling myself it’d get better but.. it unfortunately it did not.
The female main character is INSUFFERABLE. She is supposed to be this very educated psychologist and it just seems like she rattles off a few big words to make herself seem smarter than she is. She is supposed to be this bad bitch but she comes off as whiny and overall a try hard. She is always crying or threatening to end her life and I honestly kept hoping she would just put us all out of our misery and just go through with it so we’d be done with all this foolery.
I pushed through and finished it so that I could get the total picture. I wish the author had taken a little more time maybe getting beta readers or alpha readers to help with some sentance structure or maybe even some overall plot guidance. Some areas were rushed and some were under explained.
As for the smut it was decent but at times I was unsure and found it hard to follow what positions whoever was in. What guy is where and how did we get to this position?? Are we standing? Laying down? Who’s on top? Who’s on bottom? I sure don’t know.
I’m only saying all this in hopes that the author reads this and takes this as an opportunity to grow in future books. I saw this advertised on socials heavily so I gave it a try and was bummed to find it lacking with so much potential.
So the thing about immediately downloading something from Kindle Unlimited based off of one unhinged quote you saw in a Facebook group is that sometimes it ends up being being so bad it's good, and sometimes it ends up being so bad that it's...completely unreadable. I think this is the first book I have DNF'd in years but like...I cannot. I'm sure this has an audience, but it's SO not me that I'm simply going to walk away with my sanity intact. I made it eighty-something pages and that is simply all I can take.
I read a lot of bad and/or unhinged smut, and I pretty much always finish it even if it's just to give it one star and rant about everything I hated. So when I tell you this was so bad I literally cannot continue, that actually means something.
This is my fault, I read the content warnings and the author's note, and I went forward anyway. So I won't be giving this a rating, but I also would not recommend this to my worst of enemies.
Kira's character struck me as both irritating and unengaging, making it a struggle to push through the narrative. While the themes of rape and forced pregnancy were handled with a certain level of acceptance, Kira herself was a source of frustration for me.
I found myself disliking not just her personality but also her appearance and overall presence in the story. Similarly, the characters Ocean and Gerard felt inconsistent; their words often contradicted their actions, leading to moments that lacked impact and left me feeling underwhelmed.
The story could benefit from a thorough revision and perhaps the introduction of a more compelling main female character. Despite my grievances, I still have an interest in reading the second book, hoping for a more engaging experience.
If you love having a menu at the beginning of books then skip this, if not PLEASE CHECK TRIGGER WARNINGS!!!!!
First id like to thank lotus Veda for the privilege of reading this ARC.
Now this book is not for the faint of heart, please read the trigger warnings before continuing with the story. It is beyond HEAVY!! But leaves you BEGGING for more! Every chapter leaving you WANTING!
Kira is a strong willed, strong headed and extremely sassy FMC. The two males? Hoooooweeeeee! They are primal, possessive, ruthless, spicy and just absolutely delicious!
The twists and turns and heartache literally had me reeling!
Overall the story was one of the best ones I’ve read this month!
Honestly, I liked the idea of this book and wanted to like it . I'm all for a strong sassy fmc and have throughly enjoyed books with much longer trigger warnings. I loved that the fmc was highly educated and was a clinical psychologist but unfortunately she didn't come across that way. The FMC did have a couple sassy comebacks but most of them were just rude, off the wall, or nonsensical coming from someone with a doctorate. The MMCs were supposed to be crazy alphas but to me they just seemed like Alpha holes. The writing was disjointed in a way that seems as though the book is just a dream written down without further developing the idea.
I enjoyed it. The MMCs are crazy, psychotic werewolf shifters who have decided that they have found their mate in the prison wards psychologist. The FMC is scared out of her mind around the MMCs but falls in love with their overbearing, 'Me, Tarzan, You, Jane' authority complex. When she finds out their mission is to overtake the human world and enslave the whole population, she throws fit after fit, and eventually, things change. This was great.
I received this book early and so happy I did! It had me from the start and I didn’t want to put it down! The details in this book were AMAZING!!! I loved the characters, the multiple POVs, and the banter between them had me entertained and giggling!!! There were some twists and turns that had my jaw drop. I love the MMCs, Ocean and Gerard 🥵🌶️!!! They were my fave! It ended on a cliffhanger! I can’t wait for book 2!!!!
This was so cringey, not a fan of any of the characters. The main female lead was annoying and “wishy washy” with her attitude, one minute attempting to be a “bad-ass” but immediately caving into the male leads. To me both male leads had no character growth, honestly psycho assholes until the very end (maybe that was the authors goal?? 🤷🏻♀️). There was A LOT of smutt which I appreciate but honestly it didn’t do anything for me. I feel like it had potential but I got bored. 1/5 ⭐️ 2/5🌶️
This was the laziest piece of writing. The characters are insanely weird yet she immediately let's one stay over? sure ok and then you agree to date and have weird conversations with a convict. Then there's the whole humans being enslaved portion that they just completely glossed over all because she's accepted being with them now 🙄 I truly cannot handle how ridiculous this book was.
Take note of the warnings!!!! Heavy triggers are involved. I loved this super spicy book. The twists and turns kept me hooked and wanting more. A girl caught between 2 strong men. If you love a book full of twist and turns and full of spice then this book is for you.
Ok so I really wanted to like this book. I like dark romance and all of that, but I feel like it was just poorly written. It’s such a great concept and I wish it was a bit more cohesive.
Spice galore but check those trigger warnings like others have said. This isn't for those just dipping their toes into dark shifter romance! Fun ride if you can handle it!
