Huntress of K'Shaul: Land of the Lust, Book 1

Rate this book
Ancient magic? Alien technology? Why not both?

Sid Marshall expected a dull college field trip. What he didn’t expect? Getting dragged into the bushes by a flirty classmate for a very hands-on anatomy lesson. But that’s just the appetizer.

The real chaos hits when an energy storm rips through reality, hurtling Sid, his sultry MILF professor, and his bratty cheerleader crush into a bizarre, stitched-together world—where alien tech fuses with his body, awakening raw power and primal instincts.

Now, trapped in a deadly paradise of magic, spaceships, and dinosaurs, Sid has to level up fast. With two gorgeous women at his side, a mysterious huntress stalking his every move, and an entire savage world to conquer, there’s no time for hesitation.

Good thing his new enhancements come with the skills—and stamina—to keep up.

Survival’s never been so thrilling. Or so dirty.

Land of the Lust is a steamy harem adventure with spicy scenes and lots of grilled meat. Welcome to a unique experience from Aaron Crash, the best-selling author of the American Dragons and the Princesses of the Ironbound series.

Not American Dragons

I stopped reading at 51%, giving it an extra 20% than I normally would because of my past experience with this author.
Boring cookie cutter characters so bland that you just can't make yourself care about them: Check
Terrible dialogue that makes you cringe: Check
Lack of significant drama: Check
Subpar adult content: Check
Annoying computer companion: Check

This was a significant disappointment as I have enjoyed this author for me.
With all these defects why 3 stars? Simple: Dinosaurs!

Well designed and quick moving story

I get the hang ups following most of the main characters from Earth to K'Shaul, but honestly their lack of development to match their current environment is very aggravating slow. The world set up is extremely interesting and there are so many avenues to explore. I look forward to Book 2.

Aaton Crash is back with his reverse harem adventures with the first book in a new series, whereby we find ourselves travelling to a patchwork world created by the storms attacking various countries and planets and throwing bits and pieces into the Repository. Sid Marshall, a student, gets deposited in K'Shaul together with Holly his professor, and Billie a cheerleader and classmate, and they all appear naked with not a clue as to where the hell they are. They soon find out that this new world they are in is filled with both magic and technology and that unless they get their act together they won't survive. Sid is chosen as the one who needs to level up and do so fast, as this land is filled with dinosaurs, spaceships and many other alien creatures who are all out to survive and it is survival of the fittest. To top it all this land is filled with energy which turns up their libidos, so it's heat up all the time and everyone is in need of release, but all have their limits for now. Then the huntress appears and she is no holds barred where sex is concerned, seems she had been on K'Shaul for much longer than our trio, and needed release badly, and Sid was the one who gave her this every morning to start the day right. Can our trio accept a new foreign woman joining their team? Poor Sid had to manage all their moods and fancies, and boy did he have his work cut out! I loved this 1st book in the Land of the Lust and cannot wait to get my hands on book 2. I love the huntress and am keen to see their lives developing further in this ever changing world they find themselves on! I also really like Opal and the way she is optimizing Sid and am dying to see the final product!

This book was pretty decent. By the series title, it should be apparent, but this book is more erotica than it is haremlit. Yes, there will be a harem, but the number of intimate scenes dictates this being erotica.

The story starts off with the MC being on an anthropology field trip. He has a meaningless sex scene with a woman never to be seen again, before he and two women on the field trip are isekai'd to another realm, a sort of multiverse of different worlds thrown together in sectors.

One woman is the professor, being a classic MILF. The other is a cheerleader/cross-fit 20ish woman. They are quite different in personality and mannerisms. A third woman, more a native to the multiverse than our 3 from Earth, is also present. She becomes the MC's first actual harem member.

One of the big negatives with the story is that this multiverse causes everyone's libido to be supercharged. Everyone is frustrated, leading each of them towards temptation. I'm not a big fan of outside forces effectively coercing the harem to form, and that's definitely in play in this series.

I will read the next book to see where the author takes this.

Sid Marshall is just trying to get through college, get his degree, and figure out his life of odd contracting jobs and hunting trips with his uncle. Instead, on a college field trip, him, his really hot professor, and a cheerleader/Crossfit queen get hit by a weird energy storm and end up in some other world.

There are crashed alien ships, dinosaurs, giant wildlife, and mysterious neighbors, as well as weird artefacts and yeah, actual magic. Sid has to find a way to survive, navigate some tricky emotional issues with both women, and maybe even find a way home.

It's a fun, silly adventure. I'm not wholly sure the harem label applies as some things I think of as needed for that genre don't happen, but it's a sort of nebulous definition anyway. I'll probably hunt down more in this series at some point.

Dumbest Main Character Imaginable

Bro gets a magic ring, and whines and complains until he gets a chainsaw that he can hardly use and sucks the power out of the magic ring faster than he can put it back in.

Never fully powers up the magic ring either.

Just… dumb.

Not bad but not great either

Not a fan of the premise that the land is making people horny, but I suppose he needed some way to overcome the normal reluctance to start a physical relationship when forced into a strange new place and forced to survive.

The title is on point, it’s a decent story for the genre, nothing much happens in this one, I am looking forward to the subsequent books to see more of the world and to answer more of the questions that came up. It is a little porny though...

Simple Fun

Great throwbacks to adventure fiction. Feom Land of The Lost to Tomb Raider and more. Few slow moments, an ever evolving enviroment, and a interesting cast. Its pure fun. Will read book 2 for sure.

Great new series by a great author!

This was a very fun read. It was well written and the story was lighthearted and entertaining. The characters are surprisingly deep and the interactions very well written.

How delightfully over the top. I don't know if I'll read the whole series (it seems like the stakes get world-ending huge from the summaries, and that's not really my jam), but I'll at least give the next one a try.

The portal/dimensional stuff was a fun idea, the characters were fine, but (unsurprisingly given its title) the book is extremely horny. To the extent that not much story takes place. So a bit rudimentary for me.

Awful

So misogynistic, it's painful. Don't even bother. I couldn't even make it 20 pages in. And I *LIKE* this genre! *Shakes head*

The world is a patchwork plane of existence which is kind of cool but ultimately the story progressed at a glacial pace and I lost all interest.

An enjoyable different book.

Adventures, sexy times, sci-fi all mixed into one fun book. One man three women each with capabilities and moods that become an adventure in themselves.
