I absolutely adore Sexton's work. I've followed him on Instagram for a long time and eagerly awaited the arrival of this book. I'm so happy to report that it completely delivers in every way. I am not much of a poetry person, but the way his style blends religious and sexual language really speaks to my soul. It's beautiful and powerful and moving. I had a lot of fun reading many of the poems aloud to my boyfriend. It's a book I know I will reread again and again and get something new out of it every time. It's beautiful and I cannot recommend it enough.

I was so excited for the release of this book and pre-ordered through the author's website. The packaging was lovely and so thoughtful. I will treasure this book for a long time to come. I feel empowered and restored in reading through these poems.

Oh my God! This gentleman is unique and knows how to write women like no one else! Guys need to take a lesson from this man. Will read over and over. Chris has a wonderful Instagram as well. I can't wait for the next series of poetry!

3.5 rounded up. I do unfortunately prefer his short form work on Instagram vs his long form poetry here. But regardless of that opinion, Sexton is a uniquely talented mother f*cker. 🤷♀️
